I'm Back

I know, I know, I know, it has been forever since I have posted. It would make it easier if I just posted one event at a time, but when you don't download you photos for months at a time this is what happens. I also have been busy with school. For those who haven't heard I have gone back to college. I am finishing my degree on-line through BYU-Idaho. It will take me awhile, but I have started. I did get an A last semester in my learning how to learn online. I am taking 2 classes this semester. I wanted to do more, but am glad Craig talked me into taking it a little slower since I can hardly handle life and two classes. The classes are taking a little more time than they are suppose to, because I have to learn how to study again. I am much more diligent in my work now that I am older, I really want the good grades. This semester I am taking the second half of the Book of Mormon (this is my most time consuming class) and science 101(surprisingly, I am actually liking this class) I have 24 credits to finish my associated degree and then however many to get my bachelors. I will probably still be in school when Dalton starts college. Doesn't the saying go "slow and steady finishes the race", that me. Hope you enjoy the update of the last few months.

Time Capsule

Dalton had to create a time capsule for art class. I thought is was fun to see what he thought was important to him.

Baby whisperer

My friends call Duncan the baby whisperer. For some reason some kids are just drawn to him. They will come sit on his lap without any encouragement. Duncan has always loved babies. He tells me if I would have another baby, he would take care of it whenever he was home, he would even get up in the middle of the night with it. I am still good with my 4 boys.

Band Festival

Every three years our school district puts on a band festival, where all band students from 5th grade through 12th grade play together. They have a artist compose a song made just for the Bethlehem Band. The first half of the concert was the elementary kids with the high school, and then the middle school with the high school. Duncan and Dawson thought it was great to play in a band with Dalton.

Duncan's choral concert

As you watch this video keep an eye on Duncan and his movements. He just made me smile through the whole concert. Sorry it is so jumpy, Dawson was videoing and Declan kept bumping him.

Declan's baptism

Another milestone has been reached in the Homer family. The last of the four D's was baptized. Declan couldn't wait to be baptized like his older brothers, he was also excited to finally get his own set of scriptures, and a CTR ring. It always amazes me how much growth and understanding comes to a child that year before they are baptized. It was a wonderful evening, he was supported by many friends(the room was bursting), and the best thing of all, was that both sets of grandparents were able to be there.

Happy Birthday Declan

Declan is eight, I can't believe my baby is eight. His birthday fell on a Wednesday, so he was able to finally go to cub scouts with his brothers. No more sitting out in the foyer with mom. Declan is such a cute boy, I am grateful for his smiles, hugs and kisses.

Another Temple

It is now a traditon when the missionaries come to dinner one of the boys makes a temple. Here is a Lego Temple

Pie eating contest

We had the missionaries to dinner for Family Home Evening. Dessert was individual puddings. The boys decided they wanted to have a pie eating contest. Notice only the younger ones participated.

Pinewood Derby

This was the last pinewood derby for Duncan. He worked really hard on his "Bumble Bee" version of derby car. Duncan ended up in the top three cars. They would race the best out of three races and depending on the side of the track that car would win. They finally ended up racing the cars backwards. It was a close race for all.
