Teresa's share with the new March kit

Hi everyone it's Teresa here today on this beautiful Tuesday and i have lots to share with you that i made with the new C'est Magnifique March kit for this month.  It was jam packed with lots of amazing papers, embellishments and flowers so i really had fun and made lots of projects to catch up for pages and gifts to give.

My first share is a page i did of a family friend at her wedding shower.  It was such a wonderful day for her and it really showed in this picture.  The papers went great with the sepia colors and the flowers really made it all come together.  It was great too that the papers have so much printed on them so all i did was layer a few papers behind the photo to make it pop more and then added the little sentiments that came with the set.  The cute doilies from Prima are also in the set and it was a pretty addition to put in the cluster of flowers.

And this page was really fun to make.  I was on the Spellbinders Design Team for 4 years and had lots of photos to do of us so all the neat sentiments started this one off.  Then i layered the papers under it to make the photo stand out and added some of the flowers, the chipboard butterflies and the pretty clock with the flowers.  You also get lots of chipboard sentiments in this kit so i used one of the Friendship words and inked it up a little for my title.  And of course i had to put a die on the backround just for memories. Oh and a few pearls too.  Ya gotta have a bit of bling right?

For this page i wanted to use the printed words in pink and newsprint that came in the kit so i matted the picture first and then tore the prints to go underneath it.  Then a tucked in a few tags that came with the set and layered that over a couple pieces of the printed paper that i cut in rectangles.  All the gorgeous colors in the papers really made the picture stand out.  And to have a bit of fun i inked up one of the stamps that came in the set with pink ink and stamped a bit on the sides. This sometimes can add that extra color in your photo that you want to pop.  And to finish it i added lots of flowers and some greenery that i die cut and punched out of the green papers that came in the kit.

Here is a page that i did really outside the box with the papers.  Instead of staying with the theme of them i used really simple printed papers and layered them for the backround and then cut a Mickey head with the black to put my photos on.  The black, white and gold tags really went great with this to tuck in by the photos.  And then i added a few strips of colored paper to tie it all in with the flowers.  And if you have time you can add little details like the dots around the outside of the shape or maybe some stenciling.  But have fun, try new things and enjoy what you do.  That is half the fun :)

I think when i taught my classes my students favorite times was when they were doing messy inky things so ink things up and add glitter and paint and have fun in whatever you do... you never know what magic you might create with your projects...

In this kit you also get 2 pieces of 6x6 chipboard so when i saw this tag on one of the papers i new i needed to make a cute little book for an upcoming adventure.  I cut lots of the papers into 6x6 pieces for the insides and then decorated them with the tags and other goodies in the kit.  It was really fun!!

On the front i used the ivory printed patterned paper and then cut the tag to fit across.  It had the beautiful roses on it but i also added the black, red and ivory ones to go with the doily that came in the set.  And i got a pretty piece of chain so i strung that in the flowers to hang to do something different with it.  You get 2 sets of pearls in the set too so i added a few red ones on the side to match.

Here is a quick photo of the inside.  There is so much in this set you are really going to have fun!

And== i even had lots left for tags after all the other things i made.  I did this one with the heart tag and added the roses over it and the sentiment.  Just a quick little one to add to a gift bag is always nice.

And this one is a wooden tag that you get in the set.  I used the Prima ink they had with a new texture stamp and went all over the base of the tag first.  That was fun.  Then i inked up around the edges and made those little stitching dots.  Then-- i inked around the chipboard sentiment and glued that on with that pretty white pearl and added some flowers that i got in the kit.  And just finished it with a pretty ribbon that i had in my stash....  So easy but really fun to make!

And my last tag for today i stamped the texture stamp on the backround with ink and then i used some of the purple embossing powder over it.  I gave it a nice mottled backround to add lots of goodies over.  Then i took the chipboard sentiment and pained it with pink paint and let that dry.  It needed a little bit of shadow so i used some purple ink around all the edges.  The flower comes in the set and i cut a green pieces of foliage from a die that i had and arranged it all out on the tag and glued it down.  Then i just finished it with a matching ribbon.  It was a fun experiment and i love how it came out.

And that is my share for today with the new March Kit.  You are really going to love all the fun pieces in this and i hope that i inspired you to make lots of fun things of your own with it.  Enjoy!!

Teresa's share for the month of February

Hi everyone it's Teresa here today with my share of all the fun things i created with the February Kit from C'est Magnifique.  I wanted to try and really think outside the box and be creative so i only used the basic kit for all my things and wowser did i ever get alot of things made with it.

So first up i started doing some pages to catch up with all the photos that i have.  This beautiful gold frame and mixed media looking paper was perfect for my photo.  The rich golds and black went perfect and i used just bit and pieces of it for the backround.  Then i added the little paper pocket and some of the butterflies that came in the set.  You also get these really gorgeous keys so i used just one to tie with a gold ribbon on the side.

I loved a the neat words in this set too.  There was so much to pick from and it just turned out perfectly with what i wanted to say on the page... love that kind of magic.

This page was a super quick and simple one since the paper already has the flowers on it.  I cut it down to frame it out a little more and the added the photo at the right.  The dies i thought gave it a little more interest with the lacy design and then i added flowers and some letters and a few of the tags i was telling you about.

This one was super easy to make because it has a page in the set with lots of premade
sentiments and other fun goodies.  For this one i added some extra die cuts and a strip
of the black paper and then layered it over leftover pieces of the green and then some
white and pink cardstock that i had in my stash.  Super easy peasy!!

This page was another quick one where i cut a piece of the flower printed paper and adhered it to the left side and then glued the photo onto a bunch of layered pieces of paper and the doilies that you get in the set.  The string i pulled apart to make it more lacy looking and the flowers and die cuts went perfect on both sides to frame the photo.  The little flowers i punched out from the paper and added a little bit of the white gel in the centers.  I still need 2 more photos but it's a gift that i need to frame so i am going to find something neat to finish it for them later.

Aren't the flowers and things so pretty in this set.  It's super easy to use for all those family photos an events that you have been meaning to get done.  And i even had more product to make the cards that you see below....

And for these i used some of the cute paper sentiment pieces that i was telling you about and simply framed them and added some ribbons and butterflies.  The card on the right i did as an easel card so that it can stand up and i also used a bit of an adhesive border on it to jazz it up a little more... I really love these.

And for my jar (since i am getting low on things right about now) I decided to make it up to store some pretty things in my scraproom.  I covered the lid with paper and then added the flowers and leaves from the set to make a pretty bouquet.  Then i tied some of the left over string that came in the set around the top and added another of the keys that i got.  The tag is made from the paper and just matted with red and black papers and then i tied some black ribbon with another key on it to finish it.  It would make a great gift this way and i could even wrap a small gift card and put it in the jar maybe and wha laa... guess i can decide later on this one!

Here is a closeup picture of all the pretty flowers that you get in the set!

And lastly since i work at Disneyland i had to scrap some of my coworkers hanging out with Thor one day.  This was such a cute picture and these papers really went great with it. I like to do my pages with lots of papers but i also like to get them done quick so all of these things i posted i did in one afternoon.  And i still had lots of fun tearing and inking and adding bits of stenciled pastes to all of them... it was great!

Here you can see how i did the letters and the stenciling.  I love to add texture to all my projects and think it adds so much to them.  And it's really fun to get a little messy!!

And last but not least i have a few tags to share.  I have a fun little box that i keep tags in for gifts to give so this will be a great addition to have for the future.

Be sure and stop by the store to order the February kit for this month and there are
lots of add ons that you can get too... don't forget to stop back to get more fabulous
inspiration from our design team with it.

Thanks for stopping over and have a really wonderful and creative day!!

Teresa's January Kit Reveal

It's Teresa here and my first post using these amazing kits from C'est Magnifique... This month we are using papers from Blue Fern Studios, and it was really fun to make up my pages and quick to do since there are so many fun things to play with in the kits.

For my family time page, I used the basic kit for the base and then added on layers of paper and flowers from the kit to frame the photo.  The really cool chipboard piece was also in my kit and to give it a more white look I painted it with gesso and let it dry.  I also did the leaves too since they were a little too dark but they worked really well after the paint.  The tags and letters that I put on it also came in the basic kit... nice to have everything that matches so well.

For my Nepal page, I used the balloon paper for the base and then cut a strip of the blue lacy paper that went with it to make a border.  On that, i added an ivory doily that I cut from a Spellbinders die and then layered lots of flowers from the Flower Add-on.  In the mixed media kit, we got a fun strip of that white netting, so I gathered that up and put it under the flowers.  I love textures, so this was a fun addition to play with.  And I added some letters and just a bit of spackle to add more interest to it.

This is one of my favorite pages just because I love the beautiful rich colors in it and the patterns, and it worked really well with my picture.  I have a huge folder of photos to print on my computer, so it was nice to get this one up and done.  I also used the netting and the chipboard on this page and the pretty flowers that come in the set.  You also get lace, and I cut that in half and for a border and used the small adhesive white paper flowers to the side of the journaling box.  Oh, and I used some of the pretty green ribbons that I got in the kit too... super fun and super easy.

And my last page is of my cousins wedding.  This was such a cute picture of all of them and the papers worked really good.  I did really simple layering of the papers to make the photo pop and then added a flower border under it and the title.  The mixed media kit also comes with a really pretty pink embossing powder, and I used that just to make it glisten over the painted pink stencil I did on the background.

This year I challenge you to try something new a different way... and don't be afraid because you may be amazed at how much you love how it came out!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
