Chocolate chip cookies with walnut
Ice cream green tea cookies and

these three are the definite choices and I would update on any new ones.
Photos and prices of these cookies will be updated later.
they would be priced between the range of RM23 to RM25 per jar.
Thank you for the queries and keep a look out on this blog for new entries and updates on the cookies!

Choc chip cookies and banana muffin
4 jars of cookies, one for each child
first this lady ,who is Datin's ( the kids' grandmother ) friend, called me up.
"Zue, her grandchildren loved your cookies and is it possible to order 4 jars for them. how soon can you make them. they would be going to Langkawi for a couple of days and perhaps you can drop these cookies at her house (just leave them with the maid )before they come back from their vacation",
this is what she said to me and added:
since I had some bananas , thot I'd try out another version of banana muffin from this book. It turned out beautiful, not too sweet, just nice, taste even nicer with cream cheese frosting.

yup! the feeling is great
later, it's the kids' mum calling me to order these 4 jars , making sure that I got the order, just in case her mum had forgotten to make the order because they would be leaving for KL after returning from Langkawi and wanted to bring these cookies back with them.

choc chip cookies
Kak had been asking me to make these cookies for quite sometime but she didn't give specific date, only that for me to do them whenever I had the opportunity and that opportunity and time was last night.
This is her daughter's fav cookies, chocolate chips with walnut. It is also my son's fav, therefore, I made extra for us too, cos It is my fav too. I think I could have easily eaten almost half of the jar while baking and storing them. The aroma, the fresh from the oven aroma, just like the smell I so love whenver we encountered the F*mous *m*s counter, the crispiness, the walnuty taste, is so heavenly and so irresistably good....
I also made extra for my hubby to bring to KL and eat while driving and he's on his way as I am writing this.... I am missing him already, everytime he goes away, he takes a piece of me with him, remember the song by Paul Young
every time you go away,
you took a piece of me, with you....
thank you kak bahiyah, thanx a heap!

cookies and chocolate ( the other 2Cs)
I have made 3Cs ie cheesecakes, cupcakes and chocolate cakes, now it's the other 2Cs: cookies and chocolates.
semolina cookies, a favourite this year, as much as the ice cream green tea.
roasted almond with milk chocolate, the first container ready to be collected. My personal favourite, what's not to like, it's made of pure milk chocolate, one bite is not enough.
Didn't make much cookies for individuals but more for packaging in "hamper" raya.

Ice Cream Green Tea cookies and Batrisyia
I love the smell of cookies, fresh from the oven, the aroma, just like the feeling I felt when I walk into F*m*us Am*s place. Now, I got the feeling from the comfort of my own home especially when I baked " biskut Jatuhan mentega" equivalent to choc chip cookies with walnut in it...
these are some of the ice cream green tea which I made the other night with my daughter , Batrisyia accompanying me.
when I first offered her the cookies, freshly baked and warm from the oven ,still free from topping, she refused me, then after a while, she said,
"Batisya nak cookies flower ( referring to semolina cookies which shaped like a flower, with almond slice on top )
"Sorry dear, dah habis, nanti Mama buat lain"
"Sapa makan?Batisya nak cuba yang ni. What is this shape? Rectangle?"
"mama tanyalah batisya delicious or not", she said
"Delicioius or not?"
"Hmmmmm......" she said while thinking, and I waited anxiously for her to give her comment.
"so delicious!' out came the two magic words.
Not just that, she also said'
"mama pandai buat kek ( in this case, she meant cookies)
"batisya nak lagi cookies, Batisya sedaaap, so deliciious" she said, much to my delight.
after a while, she came back, "mama, i want some more cookies, sooo delicious, i want four"
"You take two, first, then only come back for more, okay"
That's the conversation between Me and my youngest daughter. she likes this cookies plain without the white chocolate and coconut topping. she would scrape it off and eat it plain. Just like the semolina cookies where she would just scrape off the almond on top and ate the cookies plain.

Raya cookies
What's crunchy, chocolatey, nutty, and come in small bite size. you don't eat them when they are aplenty but start looking for them when there was only crumbs left in the jar?
they are cookies.... to be specific , raya cookies!
it's that time of year! it's cookies time!
all types of cookies, sweet ones, fruity ones, buttery or cheesy, spicy ones, nutty, fancy looking, etc...with fancy names , like biskut jatuhan mentega, ice cream green tea and not so fancy ones like kuih batang buruk( but they taste good, don't they? ). My all time favourite is jem tart and cornflakes cookies.
But why am i talking about cookies. Well. it's that time of year again! The month before the most look forward to month, that is Ramadhan, followed by Syawal, where we celebrate the victory.( speaking of raya, i must go and get the kain for my daughters' baju kurung and also baju Melayu for my hubby and son )
Zue's Oven specializes in cheesecakes and cupcakes and others but not cookies but since some of my friends requested for them and since i do make my own cookies for raya, why not....if anyone out there is interested to taste Zue's Oven's cookies, I'll make some for you too. Here is a list of a few ( i only make a few types ) cookies which I probably would make for this coming Raya. they are in no particular preferential order, I like them all:
1. Semolina ( picture 1)RM23 for 50 pcs
2. Ice cream green tea (picture 2)- RM23 for 50 pcs
3. Dark piping - RM23 for 50 pcs
4. Roasted almond with milk chocolate ( this is not cookies )- RM25 for 50 pcs/cups
5. Semperit
6. Biskut Jatuhan mentega
7. Biskut buah pinggang, maybe
8. strawberry jem tart ( a pink version of pineapple jem tart)
These are just a few. I might make marble shortbread and chocolate chip cookies too, hazelnut cookies, melting moments. So, anyone out there, who are interested, feel free to call or sms or e-mail me. Kalau siapa2 duduk dekat2 dengan Taman stadium, can drop by at my house and taste the cookies, sementara stock masih ada.
Nak story sikit about me and cookies. i got my recipes from various sources, friends, internets, books, magazines,TVs, etc.... Hubby even bought me one more than one inch thick " Cookies 1001 Mouthwatering Recipes from Around the world" Book and i did try a few , and I might look up for new and interesting recipes for this coming Raya.
My involvement with cookies started since I was a very young girl. My ummi would make our own cookies for raya, the simple and non-complicated ones, like cornflakes, biskut kacang, biskut tabur gula colour2 atas dia. there were no almond london, no mama carries or shortbread ( in my household lah, dunno about other people). we didn't have an oven, not even the black boxy butterfly brand oven(then). So , where did we bake our cookies? In a big roti traditional oven ( cave like) which belonged to our kampung roti man, En. rojak ( I guess his name was En. Razak).Rasa macam dah story lah cerita ni, but I'll story again...
my job was to gelek the dough using plastic and botol kaca ( no rolling pin ), then tekap acuan on the dough and arranged them in the tray ( borrowed bread trays from En. rojak), then , my sister and I would bring them over to En. rojak's big oven to be baked. As a token of appreciation we would give some of the cookies to En. Rojak because he would not accept money from us and he was living alone there.Ini zaman TV black and white lagi, zaman cerita Combat, High chapparal, Little House On the Prairie, Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman.
Me and my childhood stories, still fresh in my mind but lunch is waiting. gotta go cook something for lunch, after which I have to start making the cupcakes for tomorrow's order. I have to think pink and purple and also black and white...hmmmmm and a teddy......
Ciao....
