*sigh* since when, there was a "god son" ?

She pulled out 4 cute little tiny gap baby romper /sleepwear / t-shirt from the plastic bag..ooohhh....

PL was so touched even she bought them on a special price.

note : No photos. The 4 little gap baby were in laundry...perhaps, published in the another blog later.

27 May 2007 : Traveling weekend

Nowadays, going anywhere with CY is like moving house. The car was full with his necessities.

So, PL always feels relieved if we do not need to travel over the weekend, especially things get tensed up if she could not have her own personal time for 1-2 hours.

Yet, it was fun to spend time with little CY.

Civil servants pledge to be responsible and disciplined

“It is certainly a historical announcement for us. It is the best. Previously, when we asked, it was far below our expectation,” the union’s president Omar Osman said.

He said the union was happy with the quantum of increase.

“We got what we set out to achieve, although we had asked for a 40% pay increase initially (for Support Group One),” he said.

Thank you: The civil servants applauding the pay increase announcement by the Prime Minister during the Public Sector Workers Day celebration in Putrajaya yesterday.
He was speaking to reporters here after the announcement of pay increase for civil servants by the Prime Minister yesterday.

Osman said he regarded the pay hike as a morale booster for all civil servants in the country.

He said Cuepacs was willing to show its commitment to the Government by improving the image and productivity of the public sector.

“We want to initiate drastic changes to fulfil the request,” he said.He also called on civil servants to give up their part-time jobs and concentrate on their duties in the public sector.

“We will be doing a national roadshow to ensure civil servants change their attitude and adhere to the conditions outlined by the Government,” he said.

Osman said civil servants have pledged to be responsible and disciplined, to dress smartly, and not take long tea or coffee breaks.

He added that civil servants should not wait for instructions to be given to them, and instead seek out the tasks and complete them even if took extra hours.

“Be also cheerful while working or serving customers,” Osman added

Higher pay will boost delivery system, says Ong

PETALING JAYA: The salary increase for public servants is in line with the Government’s wish to increase efficiency and also improve the public delivery system, MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said.

Ong, who is Housing and Local Government Minister, said: “I think this is definitely a big motivation and morale booster for them.”

Noting that the pay increase was “very timely”, he added:

“I would like to congratulate all the civil servants and, like what the prime minister said, we hope they will all work hard together with the private sector to bring about a more progressive country and society.”

He said the increase in salary for the lowest grade public servants or support staff was significant, adding that it would help them meet the cost of living.

Ong said the civil service played a crucial role in supporting the growth of the private sector, adding that the pay increase was justified in meeting their increasing workload and challenge they were facing.

On the pay increase for the police and army forces, he said it would be a form of encouragement and incentive in fighting crime and creating a safer environment.

15 May 2007 : Back from Penang

11 May 2007 (Friday)
Morning : Touched down at 11.20am. Hong fetched us at Penang International airport. He kept on turning to look at CY who was sleeping soundly in PL's cuddle. We were greeted by CY's grandma with big smile ... and all kisses on CY's cheek.
Afternoon : We paid a visit to Eu Yan Sang at Chulia Street. Besides getting CY's medication, PL bought vineger drinks and soup for mom.
Evening : CC went to meet his "stock" gang at Perangin mall.
12 May 2007 (Saturday)
Morning : We were introduced to try the dim sum kopitiam at Campbell Street. 炸生面was not bad. The dim sum was average among Penang's food. After the breakfast, we visited grandma. (CY's great grandmother) PL & CC also took this opportunity to "visit" PL's dad in the temple. The temple was renovated that we changed the route to place the joss stick.
At around 11am, PL went to Hair Impression and spent almost 5 hours to change her look. The result was satisfactory althought it did not cost a bomb. Wash + cut + straightening + highlight = RM280. Luckily, the hair dresser arranged someone to buy a cup of milo for PL. Since PL was not so hungry, she turned down the offer of buying her food.
Evening : To avoid the crowd, we decided to celebrate Mother's Day one day earlier. Too bad, Yeow was ot able to go back. Mom did not like western and japanese food. So, Hong booked a table in Sriwan. We also found out that mom's birthday (lunar calender) was on the same day as Mother's Day. Next time, we could let mom try on Korean or Vietnamese food.
13 May 2007 (Sunday)
Morning : As usual, GI aunt brought grandma to have the Sunday outing with mom. We joined them for lunch in Young Heart. Mom was right, they would be late. So, we went to market and had kuay teow tng (PL & mom) & curry mee (CC) for breakfast.
Afternoon : The afternoon was bored. PL suggested to go to Queensbay mall. The mall was not as crowded as it should be. Mom was exhausted that we did not spend more than 2 hours there.
Evening : We noticed that mom's favourite zhu char 煮炒 at Weld Quay was crowded till tables were set near to road side. Hence, we decided to have our dinner at Esplanade. We ordered our favourite ba li tong, oyster pancake, pasembur, rojak,,,,,,,,
14 May 2o07 (Monday)
Morning : We had duck meat kuay teow tng for breakfast. After bathing CY, PL paid a visit to her primary school. She needed to have documents certified by Pegawai A that she approached the headmistress.
It was time to pack when we got home.
Mom would miss her grandson; And we would miss the delicious hawker food, and the time spent with mom.
