Red Riding Hood by Sylvia

Hi there,

Today I want to share 2 little mixed media cards with the cute
digital stamps of Red Riding Hood
Are'nt they the cutest?

I've colored the little ones with distress inks.
I added some sparkles on the boots, the flame of the candle and
the little blue bow in the hair of the girl.
It is a shame that the lighting was not good, because of the weather.
I have fuzzy cutted the girls.

The background papers are made by me...with distress inks, and
with some modeling paste and aqrylic paints and stencils.

I hope you like the little cards.
These are just perfect for a little note.

Big hugs,
Sylvia

ofcourse with a dutch doobadoo stencil mask.

The corner dies are from CreaLies.
I added some gemstones to give it a vintage feeling.

Inspiration with Sylvia Monochrome "Sunflower Night"

Hello everyone!

Today I want to share with you a monochrome themed card.
We all make a monochrome themed card with a family of colors.

I did mine with blues/purples.
I colored with distress inks.
And the fun thing with distress inks, is that once you add
water to your project, it will change color.
Funny eh?

I made a tri-fold card with a open window in it.
I thought it would be fun to create this card.

I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

Here is a close up of the coloring with distress inks.

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration for this week.

Check out the inspiration/challenge blog for the current challenge and take a
look at the showcases from our lovely customers/creators.

We also have a monthly challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps FB-group

Inspiration Post from Sylvia, "Key of Love"

Hello everybody,

Today I want to share this beautiful image

I've colored her with distress inks.
After I die cutted out the image, I have layerd 3 layers
of clear embossingpowder onto it.
Than I've added the image for about 10
minutes in the freezer.
Why?
After you have frozen the image with the layers
of embossingpowder you can make
crackles onto it.
This gives a vintage feel on the image.

I have made the backgroundpapers with
distress inks and stencil.
The flower is from Noor, and the leaves are from CreaLies Dies.
I've added some purple gemstones to give it a
bit of a touch of bling.

I hope you like this card.

Make sure you join the monthly challenge at

There's also a FB group where you can also join the monthly challenge
and where you can add your creation from the ETSY-STORE.

Cowgirl Dollie with Sylvia

Hi there,

Today I want to share a little project with you.
This is a banner on MDF wood with the cute little "Cowgirl Dollie"

I made this banner for my youngest daughter... she is so happy!

I colored the little cowgirl with distress inks.

I painted the sides white from the MDF banners, so it would look finished off.
Than I tracked each banner onto designpapers, and I cutted them out.
I created the letters with my silhouette cameo.

Here's a close-up of the image that I've colored.

I hope you have enjoyed this blogpost.

There's also a FB design team with lots of inspirations and challenges.
Check them out!

And don't forget to join us with the challenge on this blog.

Snowflake Angel by Sylvia

Hello peeps,

Today I would like to share a little keepsake piece that I've created on
a tiny little canvas (10x15 cm) with the gorgeous image

I started to gesso the little canvas with white gesso.
This is important, because I will add watercolor to it,
so it stays on it's place.
Than I added a bit of salt on the wet watercolors.
The salt will take care for the watercolors, it will soak the colors.
You create a great effect with this, it almost looks like little snowflakes!

Than I used a stencil and modeling paste to create
the shapes on the canvas.
Let it dry. I prefer air drying.
Than I added some metallic shimmer aqrylic paints for the shimmer.
That gives the effect of a icy undertone.

I cutted the image and adhered it with foamtape on the
canvas to create depth.
Some little icy gemstones, and it's all done!

I had a lot of fun making this tiny canvas.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I will see you next time!

Big hugs,
Sylvia
