Our Big 2 year old
Drew had his second birthday this past weekend. Adam and I were reflecting on when we first found out that I was pregnant. Adam had just started law school, we had just moved to DC and it seemed to it would be forever until Adam would be done with school. And we were talking about how Drew, this tiny embryo, would be a 2 year old when Adam finished and graduated, and I can't believe that we are there. He has brought so much joy to our family these past few years and we are so lucky to call him ours.
I am a terrible mother, and got no pictures on his birthday, but I did get a short video. Poor second children. We had a big breakfast of waffles, eggs and bacon and invited our friends that live in the basement upstairs to join us. Drew got candles in his waffles and he thought that was pretty cool and wouldn't take them out. Then he got to open his presents. My parents got him a basketball hoop, and I will definitely put up a video of him playing with it soon. How in the world he knows to bend his knees and jump while shooting is beyond me, but he is a natural. We got him a train track, that Abby took over pretty quickly, but they love playing with it. If only I could find a train table on freecycle....
As far as Drew's milestones go... I can't give you measurements because he doesn't have his well child check up for another week, but he's growing. He's actually fitting into his 2T clothes, which is so great. He's gradually talking a little more. He repeats several words we say and even offers a few of his own words once in awhile. Aba (Abby) is by far his favorite word, though. He loves, and when I say love I mean idolizes, his big sister. She is his best friend.
He loves anything athletic, whether it's playing basketball, soccer, golf (hitting balls on the ground with a stick), or his tball set. He loves dancing and moving to music. If there is music on, anywhere, he is moving to it. He's really gotten into looking at books and loves to have several in bed with him to look at while he goes to sleep. He is always smiling and laughing. He loves babies. His next bff is a little girl that I babysit during the week. He hugs her, kisses her, brings her toys... he's very nurturing. He'll make a great big brother. And he's still the greatest cuddlebug. We just can't get enough of Drewbah.

He sounds like so much fun and we can't wait to have him close! I am so happy Carson will have such great kids to look up to.
OH I can't believe little Drew is 2 years old, he looks so big. I remember when he was teeny, tiny Drew and now he has a head full of hair and talks, I just love that little boy.
Hey girl, we're going private on our blog, but wanted to keep in touch! Please email me the email you'd like me to add to our blog: ssubaitani@yahoo.com :) Thanks!
Wow! Two already? Time flies!
Can he really be 2, amazing how quickly that much time seems to pass. I love that he loves everything athletic. Brad is hoping Spencer will be exactly the same way. He is still such a cutie and loved the picture of him with the little baby.
