Featured Designer: Bev

November is here and today we're introducing our Featured Designer for the month!  Are you ready?!  Please give a warm welcome to Bev from Happy Dance!

She's been a supporter of CASology since it launched clear back in the summer of 2012!  It's truly an honor to feature her and we can't wait to see what she has to share!

Hello from the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin. My name is Bev, and I am so delighted that Melissa has asked me to be the Featured Designer for November! Thank you for having me!! I'm a Christian wife, mother of eight (plus some incredible sons and daughters in law), and grandma to twenty wonderful people. My house gets filled with the most wonderful laughter when even a few of the kids and their families come for the holidays or family gatherings. Last Thanksgiving, in between my cooking duties, I helped the little ones make place cards for everyone. They had a blast, and it was a good inclusive craft; they felt like an important part of the family! And yes, I still have some of the place cards tucked away for their memory boxes!

I started out as a scrapbooker, and was introduced to stamping and card making by my darling, sweet friend, Sandy. But I didn't want to make cards...I wanted to scrapbook. Then, several years ago, about a week before Valentines Day, my darling husband spent $24 on cards for some of the grandchildren, and that was it. I made a few cards for the rest of them, and haven't looked back since. I was immediately and forever hooked on this aspect of papercrafting. I remember googling 'handmade cards,' and jackpot!! There were blogs, and online stores, ideas, tips and techniques, and I wondered if I could create a blog and join this community. Scary thought, that. But I did. Jumped in with both feet and "Happy Dance" came to life. I was welcomed into the kindest, most fun and encouraging place in all of the internet. Like you, I've made special friends, and have been enjoying your company, and have been inspired by you for a number of years. And playing in challenges has been both fun and inspirational. I don't really have a particular 'style,' as I tend to make cards to fit the recipient's personality, but I am a huge fan of CAS. That beautiful white, uncluttered space is so appealing to me, but I can get my froo-froo on with the best of them, too.

Designing and creating. That sense of accomplishment. Having fun. Knowing that someone will smile when they open the envelope. For me, that's what cardmaking is all about. Thank you, Melissa, for asking me to be CASology's November Featured Designer; I am truly grateful to be able to share the next four weeks with you. Happy dances everyone.

She's sharing some of her CAS designs today on her blog, Happy Dance!  Stop by and say hello!

Featured Designer: Janet Ribet

Janet is back today with her final post as this month's Featured Designer!  How time has flown!

I have so enjoyed my weekly posts as guest designer this month, and although it has come to an end, I’m sure I’ll see you at the challenge each week.

I seem to be going through different techniques and products in the past weeks and this week’s focus is on patterned paper. It is not a natural tendency of mine to use patterned paper. When I started stamping 22 years ago, it was just stamps and ink without all the wonderful new products that are out there now, so I forget to use patterned paper.

Paper piecing is so much fun and it lets you use up the little bits that are left over from scrapping or other projects. I have gone with another Z-fold card.

You can pop over to my blog to see the opened card … and my wishes to you all.

Thank you for being our October Featured Designer, Janet!  It's been so fun getting to know you a little better!

Featured Designer: Janet Ribet

Janet is back again today as our Featured Designer and she's sharing a peek into her craft space!

Another week has flown by and I'm back for my third post as CASology Featured Designer.

This week I'm sharing my happy space ... my studio.  I am a very pragmatic person and organise things in a logical way that makes using them convenient and practical. So in the same way that I have my kitchen organised into cooking, baking, tea-making, breakfast stations, I have organised my studio with specific stations. Living on my dot in the ocean without Ikea or all your fancy specialised furniture and storage for craft and stamp supplies, I’ve had to do my own thing. Happiness is using your craft tools to solve the problem - I love my "Silhouette made” ink drawers.

I like to have things within reach as much as possible so I have the supplies I use most within arm's reach. Come over to my blog to see more of my organisation and storage solutions.

And I have a card for you too - CAS with a little “engineering”. Here’s a sneak peek.

What are you waiting for?!  Go on over and visit Janet's blog for more details!!!

Featured Designer: Janet Ribet

Janet is back today as our Featured Designer and is sharing some rainbow inspired goodness!

Today is my second week as the October CASology Featured Designer and I’m sharing my love of rainbows. Besides being so colourful, they are signs of hope and promise.

Mauritius is a land of rainbows as we so often have sunshine and high humidity.  I have taken so many photos of rainbows while driving around Mauritius. This was taken from the west coast at Tamarina looking east.

You can come over to my blog to see more of our lovely colours in Mauritius and some of my favourite rainbow cards.

Today I made a card using one of my older stamps from Hero Arts. You never know how you can use a stamp in a new way.

Here is a closeup of the fun dimension and shine of the glossy accents dots.

Next week I share some of my happy place … my crafty studio.

Featured Designer: Janet Ribet

It's time to introduce our October Featured Designer!  Please welcome Janet Ribet into the spotlight this month!  She's been a faithful participant in the CASology challenges and her clean & simple design is beautiful!

Greetings from my little happy crafting space on the very small island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. It doesn’t take long to get there in Blogland … come over to Swanlady Impressions to get a sprinkle of my creative world and beautiful corner of the earth.
I’m a Zimbabwean Born, South African raised, Mauritian settled, enthusiast of all things paper, ink, stamps etc. I started stamping 22 years ago and added scrapping in 2001, but I also enjoy crochet, decoupage, sewing, baking, reading, Bible & bullet journaling, handwriting and watercoloring.  I love creating and want to do it all but there are just not enough hours in the day! Playing in card challenges, and following the many talented craft bloggers out there has helped me discover and develop my place & style. I love using colour when I create -  especially blues, greens and rainbows.  I find that I am gravitating towards CAS more and more but I as I can’t resist playing with techniques it can be a challenge.
As there weren’t any stamping or scrapbooking shops in Mauritius back in the day, I started bringing back supplies each time I went to South Africa. My hobby grew in fits and starts from my dining room table, to having too many boxes of supplies, to carving out my own craft space and now I have a tiny shop and small studio at home. I give a stamping class every Thursday and do scrapping classes and projects as the mojo flows.
This card fits in with this week’s challenge SUPPORT, and October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I especially dedicate it to my friends who have faced breast cancer and fought the good fight (Fi, Christine & Margaret).

Thank you Melissa and the design team for having me over the next 4 weeks.

Head on over to Janet's blog and give her some blog love!

It's Friday and Anna is back to share her craft space with us!

Hi there everyone!

I'm back again today to share my not so fancy, but MY OWN, scrappy room, and I love it.
(Even if I honestly dream of a white, clean , airy and just awesome craft room, but yet I have my own room.)
This is a brand new experience for me to have a whole room on my own as I until now have shared my craft space with our bedroom.
I don't have any perfect organization, but it works. Please come on over and see!

Featured Designer: Anna Uhras

We're back today to introduce our next Featured Designer!  Please welcome Anna Uhras!  She's been a faithful CASology player well over a year now and has such a wonderful clean & simple style!

Hi I'm Anna and I'm from a little village in the middle of Sweden. My family of seven, hubby, five kids (21 - 3 ) and me are living at our farm, where my hubby works, and I work halftime as a hairdresser. I have to admit I'm addicted to Scrapbooking/Cardmaking and all the pretty papers and supplies around our awesome hobby. As often as I can, I love playing along at CASology, therefore, I'm so happy and honored that Melissa asked me to guest this month. I´m also a member of some design teams, which is so fun and very developing. My first contact with this hobby was about 2007, mostly cardmaking. But I think my "real" start was about Fall 2012 when I discovered Scrapbooking with layouts. I mostly do traditional 12x12 but also letter size sometimes. When it comes to cards my style is mostly CAS but sometimes I do some more "all in " cards to. On the other hand when we talking layouts my style is hard to define for me, it depends of what has inspired me at that moment. But I love rich and bright colors, layers, white space, thread and even machine stitching is often to find on my layouts.

I am really looking forward to being a guest here at lovely CASology this month and I hope we will have some happy chats both here and over on my blog.
Thank you so much, Melissa, for giving me this opportunity.  I feel so blessed and honored.

You are more than welcome to visit me at my blog, http://urascrap.blogspot.se/2016/09/featured-designer-casology.html"

Featured Designer: Coni Longley

Coni is back this week to share a glimpse into her craft space!  Don't you love seeing where others create?!

Back again today to share what I laughingly call my craft room. Like some other crafters, it’s also known as the home office and general junk room. I do not have any fancy organization…just ideas I’ve picked up from various other crafters. But, I do use some products that they use. Come on over and see!

Featured Designer: Coni Longley

We're introducing our next Featured Designer today!  As one of our faithful CASology players, Coni Longley is joining us for four weeks!  Welcome, Coni!  We can't wait to get to know you a bit more!

Hi there! I’m Coni AKA Conil! Retired corporate animal living in Northern California with the best man I know and 2 fur babies. We have 4 adult girls (did I just say, adult?), of whom we’re very proud. Started crafting to document my grandchildren‘s growth. Honestly, didn’t like it…being a stationery junky, was more interested in the products than actually using them. But cards appealed to me, smaller canvas, you know. As for style, I haven’t any. What I love, however, is Clean and Simple. And that’s why I regularly stalk…er…haunt the CASology blog. To see what I mean, please spend a bit of time with me for the next 3 Fridays. To see more, pop on over to my blog, Which Craft?

Head on over and give her a warm welcome!

Featured Designer: Melissa Lane

Melissa Lane is back today sharing some inspiration!

Hi! Melissa Lane here again! I'm happy to be back for my third week as CASology's Featured Designer. Today, I'd like to dedicate my post to my father, Paul Freeman Thibodeau, who is an incredibly gifted artist.

Here's one of his paintings.

Thanks, Dad. I love you. Your tender heart, love for your family and beautiful talent are all inspirational to me.

So today, I thought that I'd share some of my drawing, painting and and maybe a little bit of my "getting messy" with you.

Here is one of my more Clean And Simple sketched and painted cards.

I hope you will drop by my blog post and that all the messy-inkiness won’t rock your "CAS world" too much! ;)

Our Featured Designer, Melissa Lane, is back today sharing her craft space!

Hi! Melissa Lane of Honeybeelane back again. I’m excited to be here with you this week with a tour of my craft space!

Efficiency, mobility and functionality are important aspects of my craft space. Because I move often, and have to “watch my weight” household goods wise, I look for small, lightweight and mobile storage options for my space.

I’d be happy if you’d like to come on over a visit me! ~ Melissa
