Lunch Guest

Goldfield Ghost Town Outdoor Cafe
Goldfield, Az
September, 2009

This little guy settled on the corner of the table next to us and patiently waited for us to finish our lunch so he could Help himself to the leftovers. There were several others in a tree at the corner of the patio also patiently waiting but less bold then this Mr. Sparrow.

These birds are being a major problem in our area.  There are so many of them that at sunset all the trees are filled and entire field of farmland appear to have a black carpet.

Comfy Nest

Spring, 2010

The downspout on our house was the home of a family of Robins for a time last spring. Does not appear they will be returning this year.

There are several places around our area that are having problems with large flocks of birds. The birds take over large fields or parks and apparently moved in for the winter. I captured this group in Eureka, Mo., as they left a field and flew over interstate 44, yesterday while driving to the airport.
