Bee Mine Tag

Hi Crafters!!  I know that Valentine's Day is over, but I just purchased this CUTE little bee cut file from Paper Crafting World  and I wanted to give it a try.  And I found a challenge blog that I wanted to do and it was for a love tag so this was perfect!!  The blog is Cameo Creations for the challenge.   I attached the cute bee tag to a tube of gumballs.  This would have been perfect for a Valentine's Day treat.   I cut this on my Silhouette Cameo.  When I imported the cut file into Silhouette Designer Studio I made an offset of the whole design BEFORE pulling away the different layers.  This made the base of the tag.

 Here is a side view!
Here is the front of the tag.
Here is the back of the tag.  I stamped hearts in pink ink and hand wrote TO: and FROM:
Here is a closer view of the tag.  I used Studio G pink glitter glue to make the dots around the scallop heart.

Elephant Valentine Box

Hi Crafters!!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!  I made a cut elephant Valentine box for one of my girls.  The box file was purchased from the Silhouette store and the elephant paper piecing file is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I filled the box with Reeses cups.

This box was so easy to put together.  The Silhouette store boxes are the best and easiest to put together.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time Teeny Tag Greetings and was stamped with Stampin Up Melon Mambo ink.  Pattern paper is from Studio G.
Isn't this elephant adorable?  So easy to put together.
I am entering this project into the following challenges:

Money Holder using Silhouette Cameo

Hi Crafters!  I wanted to share this cute little money holder I made for my daughters birthday.  She LOVES peace signs.  This project was so simple to put together.  I purchased this money holder file from the Silhouette store and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE)!!

I also used a label cut from the Silhouette store and just adjusted it to fit the front of the box.  I did an offset for the shadow and choose the print and cut feature for the sentiment and stitched lines.  (LOVE this feature).

Here is a view of the top with the tab.
This is the back of the box.
I didn't have a peace sign cut file so I googled clip art peace signs and used the trace feature in Silhouette Studio (LOVE this feature as well).  Then I cut peace signs out of white cardstock and colored them with my Stampin Up markers to match the colors of the patterned paper.

The peace sign patterned paper is from DCWV All Dolled Up paper stack!  I LOVE how this turned out!!  I truely LOVE LOVE LOVE my Silhouette Cameo!!!

Bunny Valentine Gift/Treat Bag

Hi Crafters!  I made another gift/treat bag today that I want to share with you.  I LOVE using treat bags during the holidays for giving candy and treats.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and cut the adorable bunny from Scrapping Bug Designs "will you be mine" files.  I didn't put eyelashes on the bunny at first.  I was too scared!!  I used to do eyelashes on bears a long time ago.  I need practice.  In the last photo the bunny has eyelashes.  I went a bit overboard with eyelashes (ok a lot overboard).  I promise to practice and get better.  Isn't it funny how you can spend so much time putting together these paper pieces to only screw it up at the very end!!  That is why I took pictures before doing the eyelashes.

I cut the heart border using a free file from Birds Cards Designs.  I LOVE this website for free cutting files.   The sentiment if from My Creative Time 100% Sweetness stamp set.

Valentine's Day Gift Bag using Silhouette Cameo

Hi Everyone!  This gift bag is sooo super easy and I used my new Silhouette Cameo for this project.  I am loving the cameo!!

For this project, I used a red gift bag, white cardstock, a glue pen, and my CAMEO!!  Besides my computer and printer that is all the supplies I used.  Now how easy it that??  You can choose not to use the printer and use a stamp or your own hand writing for the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment!!  I chose to use the Silhouette Cameo print and cut feature for the sentiment.

This machine is amazing!  Look at the crisp clean cuts it makes!!

One of my FAVORITE websites is Birds Cards for free cutting files and digi stamps.  I used the heart doily and the heart border file which you can download FREE from HERE .  This is a FABULOUS website!!

Altered Journal for Teacher for Back to School

Hi Everyone!!  Sorry for the lack of posts lately.  I have been busy with back to school stuff and sports!!  Now that my kids are going back to school, I will be posting more regularly.

I have a project for you today that my child will be giving the teacher the first day of school.  I will also be entering this project in several challenges (see bottom of post).

I purchased this small journal yesterday at ACMoore for $1.00.

All cuts are from Cricut cartridges (see bottom of post).  I used my ATG gun and a glue pen to adhere all the cuts down.
The sentiment "My Teacher Rocks" is from My Creative Time.  The adorable face is from Peachy Keen Critter Faces Medium.  I applied Glossy Accents to the glasses to make them look glossy.   I also used my white gel pen to add white dots to the teachers name and apple.
I also covered the pen with red and white twine.   And tied a bow with the same twine.  I used my ATG gun to adhere the twine to the pen.

I am so happy with how this turned out.  You know I have seen this apple and worm so many time and this is the first time I have cut it out!  I really need to use my carts more!! LOL

Strawberry Delight

Hi Everyone!!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!  I wanted to share with you all the special strawberry delight I made for my family..  And what would it be without my Cricut and Peachy Keen Stamps?  I made the strawberry cake and cut it up into chucks.  Then cut strawberries and added strawberry glaze.  Finally whipped cream and a strawberry on top!!  I wanted to make something for the Peachy Keen challenge.  It is based on a photo for inspiration.  The photo had fruit and it looked yummy so I decided to make this strawberry delight.  I made these cute little pick to stick in the top of the yummy delight.  Here is a picture it

The whipped cream kinda fell off one side.  My family was rushing me to take pictures because they wanted to eat it.  SO I apologize for the bad lighting.  I didn't notice it was so bad til I went and looked at the photos and the dessert was gone so I couldn't take anymore pictures:(

I used the Preserves cart for this project.  I cut the base shape at 2 1/2" out of white cardstock.  I cut 2 of these shapes for each pick.  I inked them up with Tim Holtz distress ink and added brown stitching around them.  Then adhered them together with the toothpick in the middle.
Here is a picture of them.  I used a scallop punch to make the one look like it had a bite taken out of him.  That is why he also has a sad face.  I also cut the strawberries from the Preserves cartridge.  Used brown pen to stitch around them as well.
The sentiment is from Close to my Heart Say it in Style stamp set.  This is my favorite stamp set because it has sooo many sentiments.
I used the cute Peachy Keen In Stitches face assortment stamps  I used the 1/2" size and stamped them using Stampin Up close to cocoa ink pad.
I tried to take close up pictures of each pic.  They still didn't turn out well.  I am so sorry..

I apologize again for the lighting.  These are sooo adorable in person.

Recipe:

  White, red, and green cardstock
Brown Martha Stewart Pen - sepia
Close to my heart Say it in Style stamp set
Peach Keen In Stitches face assortment - 1/2"
  toothpicks
Tim Holtz Distress ink - antique linen
Stampin Up ink pad - close to cocoa
  Cricut Cartridges:

Be Mine BEE using toilet paper roll

Hi Everyone!!  I wanted to share a project I did using a toilet paper roll.  I made this adorable bee and filled it with Hershey Kisses for a Valentines Day treat for my little sweetie!

The little bee was super simple to make.  First cover your toilet paper roll in black cardstock.  Then I cut 2 yellow strips of cardstock with my pinking blade.  Cut two 2" circles for the ends and I stamped the face with PK Happy Lashes face stamp.
I used 2 thin strips of black cardstock and accordion folded them for the antennas and legs.  Cut a heart from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge at 1 1/2" and stamped BE MINE from Close to my heart stamp set.

I cut the wings out of Vellum using the Art Philosophy cartridge using the petal image.  I then used my cuttlebug and the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the wings.
Isn't his stinger cute!!  I used some scrap black cardstock and just rolled it and cut it to a point.
I addend hearts to the ends of this antennas.

I am really happy with how the bee turned out and cannot wait to give it to my little sweetie!!

I am entering this project in the following challenges!!
Peachy Keen Challenge - use toilet paper roll
My Craft Spot - Valentines (card or treat packaging)
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - use heart on project
Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge - hearts

Snowman Gift Box

Hi Everyone!!  I am so excited to get a project done!  I was hoping to get lots of other Christmas projects done this week, but my little girl broke her finger at a Christmas bowling party.  My poor little baby!  She was so excited to go bowling for the first time.  She is a little sweetheart.  I have been so busy getting ready for Christmas, I really haven't had time to craft.  Today I am going to share another gift box with you.  Click HERE to get the template for this box.  I made this for the PK LFIF Challenge: Fabric Scraps.  I used light blue felt for the snowman scarf and a piece to tie the box closed.  I cut the felt first with pinking sheers.

I made this snowman from the Fiskars Cutting Templates (the orange ones).  I also used 3 black brads for the buttons.

The sentiment is from Close to My Heart Christmas Scripts.  I originally stamped it on to the box and accidently smeared it so I cut a square and stamped it again.  I used my corner rounder on two of the corners.  I really liked how the corners look.  Then I took some white ink and inked the edges to make it look frosted.
For the snowman face, I used Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face stamp set.  The snowman hat is from Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge and I used silver glitter ink to ink over it to give it some shimmer.  LOVE how it turned out.

I also used my snowflake cuttlebug folder to emboss the background of the box and added some ink to make the snowflakes look frosty.

I LOVE how the box turned out.  Those Peachy Keen faces are so adorable!!
