First Day of School

You would think with Nathan in 4th grade and Joshua in 1st that the "first day of school" would be easy for me..... but I was very nervous this year. Maybe it is because this is a new school, they don't know there way around, they don't know many kids... or could it be that we live in Louisiana. I think was a combination of both. BUT, they had a great day! They love there new school and their teachers. They both met knew friends and are excited for the school year! HURRAY! Tomorrow they will ride the bus for the first time, so we will see how that goes!

No, I didn't choose to dress my boys like this on their first day.... they have to wear uniforms, lucky me!
FYI: For those of you who get cute pictures of your kids with their teachers, or walking into class on the first day, good for you! I SO wish I could get those cute pictures, but remember my 10 year old son Nathan. He ABSOLUTELY refuses to let me even take my camera, let alone a few pictures and he has TOTALLY influenced my 6 year old. I wouldn't want to embarrass them on the first day!

They are SO cute because Josh is all smiles and Nate's smile is a little forced! Ha! They look so good in their uniforms...are they even called that? Wow! I don't think I can handle Ben going, it's just way to much for me!!!

They look so cute! Uniforms might be good but then I wouldn'e have a fun time school clothes shopping with Kaylee! I'm so glad they have friends in their new school!

Your boys look so good and excited! Way to go, Mom! One of these years, you might just have to sneek a picture of Nathan and then show him 20 years later for a fun laugh! Anyway, so glad to hear things went well, what more can we ask for when we hear the kids of happy?

girl, it is better than the drama we are having over "what is and isn't a tee-shirt".

Great pictures. I think they look great! They are hilarious too in their "posing". Go uniforms...they look like grown men! Ahhhh, where did the summer go??!!!

Uniforms and bus rides are the best. That alone saves a mom so much hassle. They are so cute and I'm laughing about Nate not allowing you in the school with the camera.

Cory says Josh doesn't look
"natural" in that uniform. He should be in jeans and a t-shirt. I asked what about Nate and he said he could see Nate in those clothes more than Josh!

funny! Why do they get embarassed already - shouldn't that wait until at least 13? Oh and I really wish my kids wore uniforms - it would be so much cheaper and I wouldn't have to hide those ugly shirts they always LOVE to wear. What are you going to do with all your time? I must admit I'm a bit jealous - free time; what's that?!

Love the school pictures. That is so funny Nate won't let you bring the camera to school. I am glad I can still get away with that. They look great and I am glad they like their new school.

I'm so glad they like the new school! And I think I would LOVE to have had uniforms instead of trying to pick out an outfit every day!!
