This was "on the cutting room floor" if you want to call it that! I had put it together with some scrap paper I had inked on…and I just didn't feel it flowing so I put it aside. Today I picked it up again, looked at it and thought it would make a cute birthday card for my of my boys friends birthday he is attending today!
I found some old Stampin Up! paper that had a good match to the purple ink on the card and thats when I knew I could finish it! In the background on the purple (might be hard to tell in the photo) I did a little shimmer misting with the hexagon stencil. Just needed a little touch to not be so bland but I didn't want to take away from all the detail on the front portion. For the front part I added embossing paste over top the inked paper, added the sentiment then the ribbon…and today after weeks of just sitting there I decided I didn't hate it anymore!!
I guess it was good I decided to keep this one laying around instead of just tossing it like I do with so many other cards that I think don't work!!
Hope you all have a great Friday! Thanks for stopping by!

boy birthday fun
Some more playing around with new goodies I got yesterday! And I figured why not work it into a couple of challenges as well??? Not always so good on the masculine making card front! But I fell in love with these bicycles and thought they made the perfect little boy card!!
I used Seize the Birthdays sketch along with Cas-ual Fridays stamp on Designer paper to make this card come together!! I also have a hoarding problem....I'm sure I'm not the only one who does!! So I thought it was time to break open my SU hung up clips! So glad I did! Maybe it will encourage me to use some of the other cute ones I have in there too!!!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by!! Hope you all have a great day!!

superhero!!
Last week I received a request to make a superhero birthday card for a little mans birthday! Needed to have Spiderman Superman the Flash Green Lantern and most importantly Batman! Because I'm sure every kid has their fav! My middle guys is Green Lantern all the way :)
So the challenge was on to somehow come up with these superheros...I looked around online and found a really cute one using the SU owl punch but that is something I don't yet have in my collection...yes for some of you I know this is hard to believe!
But I did find some cute downloads! I was able to adjust the size to make them fit my needs of the card!! I'm loving how it all turned out! Makes me want to throw a superhero party now for my boys!!
Anyway Hope you enjoy!!!
Happy Wednesday!!!
