Elastic Heart Cards

Hey Scraptastic Club fans! Sniff sniff...it's my last project post for the team. Sniff. And I had a ball creating cards with all the goodies in this month's kit, Elastic Heart.

So pretty in pink and gold are many of the papers and accents from the kit.

I especially love the Ephemera Bits by We R Memory Keepers! They're the clear and gold accents I used on the card above and the Luv U design below.

I really like these tags too! The camera doesn't always pick up the shine like on these chevron stripes.

And the glittered Sprinkles from Doodlebug Design....swoon!

I'm really going to miss finding these Scraptastic Club kits on my doorstep each month and creating projects with them. I will, however, be watching you and the rest of the design team to see what you create!

The Scoop

Today I'd like to share a fun summery note card I made with Scraptastic Club's July 2015 kit called Summer Rolls. Ooh la la just look at those glittery ice cream treats included in the kit, part of the Poolside collection made by Crate Paper.

I think the receipt accent is so clever! I love it! And those prices! Reminds me of when I was a kid and you could get three scoops of ice cream for just .35 cents at Thrify drug store! Those were the days! I even remember the flavors I always ordered...orange sherbet, coffee almond fudge and mint chip. What a combo! I remember the person who scooped my ice cream saying once, "If that flavor combination doesn't make you sick....!" Ha! Good memories!

Let's Craft!

I started the day rummaging through my scrap paper bin searching for some patterned paper to inspire a little craft session. Turns out this star paper is a Chickaniddy design that was part of a Scraptastic Club kit from a few months back.

Then I found the pink heart print paper that's an old patterned from Pebbles' Yours Truly collection. I love the way it looks with the star paper.

The die cut card stock stars and the cork stars are also left over accents from previous Scraptastic Club kits. And that beautiful butterfly is made by Pink Paisley, part of their Bella Rouge collection and once included in another Scraptastic Club kit.

Then there's that darling little star charm...something I've had in my stash for years.

Together these papers and accents came together beautifully, I think. It's an all occasion card that can be used for birthday, thinking of you or just a note.

What a fun, relaxing way to start the day! Now I'm ready to take on some assignments. I'll be working on some more Anna Griffin HSN projects that will air on the next 24 Hour Craft event on September 9th.

Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! I do cartwheels too! Wink! I created this cool ice cream card design with Scraptastic Club's July 2015 Summertime Rolls kit.

Included in the kit are these awesome ice cream glitter pops that I had to create something with! They're so fun and manufactured by Crate Paper, part of their Poolside collection. Wish I could tell you the ice cream was included in the kit too!

The ice cream lover that I am just so happened to have a few pints of ice cream in the freezer that I could use for my photo shoot! I'm surprised I had the self control not to eat it after the pics were taken! Ha!

Wander

I've got a serious case of wanderlust! I just want to jump in the car and go somewhere we've never been before...like Tennessee. There's so many great places to hike, waterfalls to photograph and small towns to explore and have lunch.

Today I'm sharing a card I made with Scraptastic Club's June 2015 kit, Can't Go Home. It's perfect for scrapbooking all your summer vacation memories and creating cards like this.

I love all the accents from Pink Paislee's Atlas collection that's included in the kit. I've grouped several together for my cards focal point.

So...are you itching to go on vacation? Where would you go?

Celebrate

You know July Fourth is right around the corner in our neighborhood when you hear the sound of firecrackers each evening. So, it's time to create some patriotic cards to share with you. I made this greeting with Scraptastic Club's June 2015 kit called Can't Go Home

This kit was designed for scrapbooking summertime memories and vacations, but I also think it's perfect for the Fourth if you use the red, white and blue patterned papers.

I hand crafted a few colorful firecrackers for my card since I really like to add layers and dimension to my projects. They're super simple to make.

I cut some pieces of patterned papers to 1 1/2" by 2" first. Then, starting with the 1 1/2" inch side I rolled it around an old PDA stylus. You could use a bamboo skewer. Once you have your paper completely rolled up, unroll just enough to add a touch of craft glue to seal it.

I used some blonde jute for the wick and added a dab of glue to the end before inserting it to the core of my firecracker.

It's so easy to make these adorable little firecrackers! I could make a bunch while I watch something on Netflix and use them as confetti for my July Fourth dinner table. Wouldn't that be fun?
