Lots of News and Shares

Hi! How was your Halloween? I was going to leave a Happy Halloween post yesterday, but never made it up to my office between pumpkin carving, seed roasting and a bit of house cleaning. We had a very enjoyable day and I hope you did too. My son dressed up as Woody from Toy Story. I know my opinion is biased, but I think he makes an adorable Woody! :)

He was so excited and couldn't wait to get going! He was being real patient while dad shot a couple photos.

Now for some digital crafty shares. My first project is a hybrid card.

Jen Martakis created this super cute kit called Roar! If your little ones love dinosaurs, this kit is a must have with it's oodles of dinosaur images and fabulous coordinating papers!

My second share is a rare all digital page.

Here's my little dude in costume his first six Halloween nights. Oh how I've enjoyed seeing him dressed up each year! The kit I used for this page is called 'A Haunting We Will Go' by a new digital designer at Two Peas in a Bucket, Dianne Rigdon. You should see this kit! Awesome! I think it's the biggest with the most papers and elements so you get a great deal for your money!

I have a giveaway announcement to make. If you visited my blog this weekend and made a comment on my Lovely Ladybug tag share, you were eligible for the drawing for some vintage ladybug pins. Congratulations to Lin from Sending Hugs, she's the winner!

Now for some exciting news....this week Digital Doodles is the sponsor over at 2 Sketches 4 You! I'm so excited because there are new design team members starting today too! Oh what fun it is to design for Kazan and Laura! These ladies are such fun to work with! And guess what? This week's card winner not only wins the Digital Doodles 'Thankful' set, but they win a guest design spot on 2 Sketches 4 You! If you have a chance to play along with them, it would be awesome to win that guest designer spot! :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I had lots to share with you! I have more fun shares lined up for tomorrow with Digital Doodles Tuesday so I hope you can return then! Have a super day! :) Kathy

Scrappy Shares & A Winner

Happy Saturday everyone! We are waking up to clouds this morning here in Raleigh, North Carolina. How about you? Is the sun shining in your neck of the woods? Do you have some fun things planned for the weekend? I've got some work to do, but I love what I do so I'm happy as a bird with a french fry hanging out in my scrap room!

I have some crafty shares for you today! Would you like to see? Well, that's why you're here, right? :) This first share is a card I made with a fun Ippity stamp I got in the mail yesterday from Michelle. I couldn't resist this stamp because I can make some great graduation and teacher appreciation cards as well as some adorable book marks with it.

Do you recognize this design? It's from my pals over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I had a bit of time to play along again this week! :) Thanks for another fun sketch ladies!

This next project is a scrapbook page I made of my darling husband riding on a zip line that our friends put up in their back yard. They live in the wine country in California and have a beautiful yard with a creek. Anyway, my husband is a constant joker and always goofing off so this was 'typical' of him.

The last order of business today is to announce the winner of the Basic Grey Kioshi goodies. If you scroll down to the previous post you can see the photo of this prize package. I drew a name from the comments left and Vera Yates is the winner! Congratulations Vera!

Happy to have you visit again. Whatever you do this weekend...I hope you create a lot of lasting memories! :) Kathy

2 Sketches 4 You

It's only been a couple weeks since my design team term ended with 2 Sketches 4 You, but I miss Kazan and Laura and the other design team members! So I thought I'd play along this week and make a card based on Kazan's fun design!

I used the Silhouette to cut the cloud from the blue patterned paper and the 'K is for Kite' Digital Doodles stamp.

On yesterday's post I said that I would draw a name from the comments left saying what they would do with the latest 'Meowy Messenger' stamp. Only 6 of the 11 comments noticed that! I'm always giving stuff away so you have to be on the lookout! ;) The winner of the stamp is Agata of 'Under Construction' blog. Congratulations Agata! I will e-mail your stamp today. By the way, one commenter thought they had to be a Digital Doodles Club member to win and that's not always true. I often have drawings just for leaving comments.

Well, that's the end of this post. I am so happy you could drop by today! Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! :) Kathy

Good Day Monday!

Hey there bloggers! Hope you are having a terrific day! :)

I have a few cards to share with you! :) And as I have the three of them before me I can't help but notice how different each of them are from the other! A real mix of styles!

This first card is a hybrid design using a new digital kit from Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Poised the Elements' by Vinnie Pearce.

I can't believe how real this flower looks! It's just printed on a piece of paper, however. I simply cut it out, inked the edges a bit and attached it to the card with a pop dot! The printed navy blue frame on the sheet music is also from the kit which is loaded with beautiful accents!

This next card is also made from a digital kit, 'Wild Thing the Elements' by Jen Martakis.

This little monkey and his animal friends were too darling to pass up! I just had to have this kit. Perfect for my son's field trip to the zoo this Friday along with an occasional card like this one.

My third card is a 2 Sketches 4 You design! Yep, it's Monday and Kazan has a terrific sketch and sponsor!

Here's my card and the sketch. The sponsor for the week is Bo Bunny Stickers. The focal point of my card is a sticker designed by my team mate at 2S4Y, Shanna Vineyard. You should see all the amazing sticker designs she creates for Bo Bunny!

Well, that's the latest! Hope you enjoyed my crafty shares and that you are inspired to get out some pretty paper and crafty goodies to get lost in some scrappy fun!

Testing 123...Testing...

Thank you for your patience as I've worked through my technical difficulties! Well, I waited until my husband got home and straightened things out! :)

Anyway, I have so much to share with you that it's hard to know where to begin! I suppose I need to go back to Monday and post all the crafty goodies I planned on sharing with you. I have a couple hybrid cards made from digital kits exclusive to  Two Peas in a Bucket. This first card is made with a super adorable digital kit called 'Rain' by Wilna Furstenberg.

Wilna has only been designing with Two Peas for a couple of months, but she's a master and this kit is a must have! I used two papers, two elements and a sentiment from the kit. It's loaded with so much more so be sure and check it out. Also, I used a sketch for this card from Taylored Expresions where you can find a lot of fun and unique card sketches.

This next hybrid card is from another Two Peas talented designer, Jen Martakis. The digital kit I used for this card is called 'Celebrate Spring' and includes whimsical springtime accents and colorful papers!

Monday is also a 2 Sketches 4 You day so I have this latest card and sketch to show off.

I loved working with this week's sketch and our sponsor DeNami Designs! There's still plenty of time to visit to 2S4Y and play along. And if you've ever wanted to be considered for a design team position at 2S4Y, this is the time to play along because they are going to choose their next three design team members from the entries they receive! How cool is that?!?!

That's a wrap for this post. I will be back tomorrow to show off the latest Digital Doodles stamp projects and I'll announce a challenge for the Digital Doodles Club members! Yippee! It feels good to be back! Kathy :)

2 Sketches, Two Peas & A Digital Doodles Club Give-A-Way

Hello! I hope everyone had a terrific weekend! We had the most gorgeous weather here in North Carolina. Low 70s! Perfection!

Today is the day when our talented sketch artists over at 2 Sketches 4 You present us with another card sketch to play along with. This week Kazan came up with a really cool sketch! Here's my card and her design.

This week's sponsor is SRM Stickers. They have the perfect stickers for card makers! They have so many great sentiments....something for almost any occasion.

Not only is this a 2S4Y day but also a Two Peas in a Bucket day. Today I have a couple cards to share with you using a couple of the latest and coolest digital kits.

I'm such a big fan of digital designer Wilna Furstenberg! This hybrid card is made from her new 'Somebunny to Love' kit. The critters in this kit are too cute! I just adore this little hedge hog!

This hybrid card comes from the 'Live Laugh Love Elements' digital kit from Vinnie Pearce, another favorite of mine! These flowers and adorable little bird work perfectly with the 'Clothesline' collection from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Now for the Digital Doodles Club give-a-way! At the end of the week I will draw a name from our list of club members to give away these goodies!

This prize includes four packages of embellishments from the new 'Clothesline' collection from Little Yellow Bicycle! This is currently my must have set of papers and accents! If you are not a member of the Digital Doodles Club just click here and sign up. It's free, fun and super easy! Hurry, this prize will be closed on Friday, April 16th at midnight eastern time.

Thank you for spending a bit of your Monday with me! Tomorrow there will be a new Digital Doodles Stamp release at Two Peas in a Bucket and I will have a lot of fun cards and projects from our talented design team to show off. Hope to see you then!

Kathy :)

There's no Place Like Home!

Wow, what a whirlwind of a trip to California to visit and help grandma. I'm pleased to report that she's doing quite well, better than I expected!

It sure is good to be home! I miss my boys, my two furry boys and all the comforts of home. Like a working computer and printer! Grandma's place was set up for wireless internet so I brought a laptop and thought I'd be able to work a little while I watched 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Dancing with the Stars', a couple of grandma's favorite shows, but no such luck! After nearly a day of my cousin-in-law doing some trouble shooting for me, it turns out that the connection was incompatible with a PC since she set it up with a Mac! Can't we all just get along!?!? Technology is so much harder than it needs to be, don't you think?

Well, I'm back home and I have so much to share with you! First, I'd like to thank all the Digital Doodles Club members who participated in the first club challenge! All club members received the first Digital Doodles exclusive stamp and were asked to make a card with it! The entries were spectacular and at the risk of sounding cliche, it was extremely difficult to choose a winner!!!! Sylvia Nelson won this first challenge with this gorgeous card!

Sylvia Nelson

I love the double layering of the flower center, petals and leaves, along with the bee wings! This card has great colors and design. It's a truly an amazing card! Congratulations Sylvia. I'll need your address to send your Dear Lizzy goodies from American Crafts.

This week another Digital Doodles stamp 'Banner Bird' was released at Two Peas in a Bucket. The Digital Doodles design team and Guest Designer Karola Witczak put together some amazing cards to show off this fun new bird stamp. Check these out!

Didn't these cards turn out lovely! Thank you design team and Karola for these great works of art!

As you know, each Monday 2 Sketches 4 You posts a brand new sketch for the week to challenge all of us crafty card makers to come up with our best. This Monday's sketch was created by Laura Davis. Following is the card I made and Laura's sketch.

Isn't that little ewe just so fluffy and cute?!?! It's a digital stamp from Jane Beljo of Jane's Doodles. Jane's designs are sold at Squgglefly, an on-line shop for digital stamps. If you like the cute little sheep I used, you should see the rest of the critters my team mates used and their incredible cards over at 2 Sketches 4 You!

Last but certainly not least is a a few projects made with the latest Digital Kits at Two Peas in a Bucket.

This hybrid card was made with the incredibly adorable 'Happy Easter' kit by Jen Martakis. This kit is loaded with the most colorful papers and adorable accents!

This hybrid card was made with a vibrant pack of digital papers called 'Some Fun' by Shelley Castillo. If you like these papers, you need to check out the rest! There are ten colorful and fun patterned papers in this kit!

This final project I have to show you is a hybrid card made with 'Birds, Blooms & Bikes Rub-Ons' by Stacy Marks. This is a kit full of fun images perfect for cards as well as scrapbook pages. You have to see the little tricycle in this kit!

Whew! This was a super long post! I was only gone a few days, but a lot happens in that short amount of time! Thank you for stopping by today and seeing all the great projects and things going on. I hope to see you for the next post as I think it's time to have a little more Digital Doodles Club fun to include a prize!
