It's Release Day!!

It's release day over at There She Goes, and since I was a still recovering, I decided to make a card to celebrate release day using the new Domestic Goddess set. Now, I know, everyone has been using the girl from this set, and I will too, next time. I told you in my last post for There She Goes, that Jessica put a sentiment in just for me....well, here it is!! LMBO!! I posted on Facebook the other day that I had stabbed myself with my paper piercer, and needed a bandaid and a waaaambulance, STAT...and she was inspired!! Gotta love her!

I stamped my phone and sentiment on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. It was then layered with Riding Hood Red and Black Licorice(MFT). My DP is from the SU Rockabilly stack. I used some MFT ribbon, and some SU ribbons as well. My brads are from Michael's and my spiral clips are from Creative Express. My sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out the the release party tonight! Have fun and happy shopping!! Here are all the party details!!

The night you all have been waiting for is finally here! That's right, you will finally be able to get your hands on the three brand new stamps that the Trendsetters have been showing off all week!!

Join us right here in the TSG Forum as we countdown to the release. The official chat is from 6-8 PM Pacific time (9-11 Eastern) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello!

This stamp set was designed just for all of the domestic goddesses! This set features two different ladies. One that is chatting on the phone and one that has no arms. Yep, that’s right no arms! Domestic Goddess is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 46 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the Domestic Goddess stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Domestic Goddess Blog Hop Challenge post. Let's Experiment Together....

I know I'm not the only one, but I am in LOVE with this Chemistry set from There She Goes....it just SPEAKS to the geek in me!! Right now, that geek is freaking out a little, though!! I have surgery tomorrow to have my gallbladder removed, and as much as people tell me I am going to be fine, my brain is thinking other wise. I wish there was an on/off switch for it!! I can't sleep, which makes it worse....I will just be so happy when all this is over.

For my card today, I used the Chem set, and Taylor's Sketch together. The card is pretty simple, so I won't bore you, but I will say that it is 4x8, which I don't normally do. All my cardstock, ribbon, and DP are SU, Michael's brads, and Creative Express spiral clips.
That's it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

MFT Greatest Hits!!

Recently, Joanne, came up with a BRILLIANT idea for all of us at My Favorite Things to bring out some of our older, but still excellent, sets. Each of us chose a different set, and today we are all posting them for your viewing pleasure!! We are going to keep doing this every month, because let's face it....with all the new stamps coming in, we tend to neglect the older ones.

For my set, I chose to use Here's The Scoop....love it!! Right now, with my Gall Bladder issues, I can't have Ice Cream. It isn't something I normally crave, but you know how it is when you KNOW you can't have something, that's the one thing you really really want. I started by stamping my image on an MFT perfect panel, and then colored parts of it with my Copics. The rest, I paper pieced using the FABULOUS Chocolate Kiss pack from MFT. My cardstock is all from MFT- Hot Fudge, Bubblegum, and Pink Lemonade. My ribbons are both MFT as well, my spiral clips are from Creative Express, and my brad's are from Michael's. I used Taylor's sketch from Friday, as well.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out all the other MFT girls and see what they are posting with today!! There will be a full list on Kim's blog in the morning by 10AMEST(April 15th). Thanks and have a wonderful day!!

TSG50--Pleating

Hey everyone, long time no see!! I have been having some health issues, so I haven't really felt like stamping. I am hoping that everything works out soon, but we will see. I go back to the doctor in the morning, and I am hoping to get some answers!!
Anyway, enough about me!! Today, I have a card I made using the new Sweet Pea set from There She Goes. It was designed by our new illustrator, Chris Dark. She is fabulous!! I made this card for the There She Goes weekly challenge, to use pleating.....something I definitely need practice with!! I also decided to play along with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch.....super fun!!

I started by stamping my Sweet Pea image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then I colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Celery and Hot Fudge cardstock. My DP is from the DCWV Latte stack. My ribbon, which I TRIED to pleat, is from SU.....definitely more practice.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!
