Sit back and enjoy the Quilt Show...

Quilt Guild-Beautiful Quilts

I went to the quilt guild today and they had some beautiful quilts to show and a speaker that kept us laughing so hard during her presentation. Her quilts are hand pieced and hand quilted, so grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy. Sorry for some of the pictures not being close enough and a little blurry. The first 3 are show and tell and then the rest are Sue Weldon's.

Men's ties, this one came out dark...

Sue's are below.

Sue says she does her hand work about 6 hours a day, 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours at night. Hope you enjoyed the show.

Blogger Quilt Festival 2009

Blogger Quilt Festival 2009

Mr. Santa Claus is my favorite quilt I have done, but working on my new grand babies quilt and it is going to be up there with him. I hope to finish it soon and will be back with pictures of it.

My story behind Mr. Santa Claus, I had my antique and quilt shop at the time this was made. 9/11 had just taken place and all I did was go to the shop and watch my little TV. I had to get something going, so I made this pattern and started cutting and piecing. It turned out a lot larger than I thought, but he is one of my favorites.

If you haven't been to visit every one's blog, there is some beautiful work out on blog land. Amy @ http://parkcitygirl.blogspot.com/ put this together, with some great giveaways.
Sneak Peek at Baby Quilt, nothing is sewn down as for as applique.

Spring Swap Arrived Even Without Her Halo

Spring Swap Arrived Even Without Her Halo

I took pictures of what I made for Marit @ http://www.maritshobbyblogg.blogspot.com/ and as I was looking at them I noticed I let the angel fly across the ocean without her Halo. Thank goodness she made it safe.
Her color choices were yellow, green, white and browns. Really enjoyed working with these. I took a stitchery design, enlarged it and made it into an applique for the quilt. Then just built around it. The towel has Velkommen Vartegn on it, which I hope it says Welcome Spring. Thank you again Linda for hosting this.
