Miss Ink Stamps - Crafty Friends Are the Best Friends

Welcome back!  Have you seen the beautiful Blooming Brushes stamp set over at Miss Ink Stamps??  I was thinking about all of the beautiful single wildflowers in the set and had this idea!

I started with the Basket Case stencil and blended some Ink On 3 Atelier Inks through it.  Then I splattered some water infused with Ink on 3 Liquid Pixie Dust, White paint and Gold Color Shine over the top of it.  I stamped, cut and colored all of my images and moved them around on the background until I had the look I wanted.

All of the images were popped up onto the panel.  Next I stamped one of the great sentiments from the Blooming Brushes set onto white cardstock and then die cut it with a heart shaped die and popped that up.

That's me for today!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

When This Is All Over - CAS-ual Fridays

Welcome back!  Sharing this one today using some of the great new stamps from the latest CAS-ual Fridays release.

I started with the background that I made by sprinkling some Color Burst onto some watercolor paper and sprayed it with water infused with Liquid Pixie Dust and let it do it's thing.

While the base was drying, I stamped the flowers from Terrific Flowers onto watercolor paper in Versamark and heat embossed them with Wow embossing powder.  I used Zig Clean Color Markers to color them in and then fussy cut them out so I could pop them up over my watercolored background.  I stamped the Hope word from the Heart Ribbon set in purple and fussy cut that out and popped it up in the corner.

Finally, I stamped another one of the sentiments from the Heart Ribbon set and popped it up on the top.  I love the encouraging sentiments on that set that are great with or without those beautiful ribbons!  I just added some purple gems and clear sequins and I was done.

I find myself creating a lot of these kinds of cards lately because there are a lot of us who need a little encouragement and a reminder that things WILL get better.

And if you're up for a little bit of happy (or a lot of happy), come back tomorrow because tomorrow I'm involved in something pretty special that's going on!  If you like smiling and free stuff... you won't want to miss it!

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed it!

Fall/Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 2

I'm excited to be guesting with Super Sponsor A Jillian Vance Design for November and December, including for the current Mini Release!  There are a couple new coffee sets in town and I've used the Hug In A Mug set here today!

A Jillian Vance Design is a long time Super Sponsor over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog and this hop is no exception!  So I created a card to link up to the current Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Here's how I was inspired:

The Hug In A Mug set is awesome!  It has a really nice sized cup and coordinating images for every season!  Originally I was thinking Fall for this one, but I guess it's turned into more of a late summer...lol!  I started by random stamping a panel of watercolor paper with two of the floral images from the set in Versamark and heat embossed with white.  Then with a little bit of water and my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, I colored the background and the florals.  When that was all done, I sprayed it with water infused with Inkon3's Pixie Dust Spray and blotted it and then splattered on some Paul Rubens Glitter Watercolor.

Then I embossed the cup and this beautiful butterfly onto watercolor paper as well, and colored them in with the same colors of Zig markers.  I cut them out and popped them up onto the background.

I chose one of the many great sentiments in the set and stamped it onto a piece of cardstock that was cut using a die from the Sentiment Strips 2 Die Set.  I cut one end into an arrow type banner and then popped that up as well.  I just added a few sequins and I was done!

Bright and cheery so I thought that sentiment was perfect!

Thanks for stopping and please come back soon!  It's going to be a super busy week here! I hope you'll join me in playing along over at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  You can find the link up, rules, list of SO many sponsors and more at this link here!  What are you waiting for??

Always Believe - Polka Dot Orchard

Sometimes an image just strikes you and you just gotta color it... and then when you get done, you just gotta hurry up and get it on a card.. this beautiful flower from the Flowers in Bloom Digi Set from Polka Dot Orchard was one of those.

And then once I got it colored up and cut out it was so hard to design a card around it because it had to be just right... one of those where I have lots of extra background panels and die cuts left over and waiting to be used on another project because they just weren't exactly right!  I knew I wanted to use these beautiful scalloped circles from Rubbernecker Stamps to frame it... it just took me a while to figure out what colors to use...lol!

For my background I finally decided to use this one.  I cut the panel using this Kat Scrappiness die and then applied some Decofoil Transfer Gel using this Newton's Nook Stencil and this awesome foil from Brutus Monroe.  I splattered my background with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine and some red and black watercolor that I mixed with Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust to add some shimmer.

This sweet sentiment is from another beautiful set available over at Polka Dot Orchard, Spread Your Wings.  I created a bouquet with a Wheat die from Frantic Stamper and another leaf die from MFT and "wrapped" it in a corner doily die that I believe is no longer available at Brutus Monroe.

And that's it... I added a few red gems to scatter the red just a little... my red splatters didn't stay red on that black cardstock so it felt like it needed something and it made my eyes happy.

I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which is all about Stencils!  You should check it out!

Thanks for stopping!  Hope you'll come back tomorrow for the next installment of Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas!  I'll announce the winner from April and Debra and I will be sharing the Christmas cards we've created this month!

In the meantime, check out Polka Dot Orchard's shop here!
