Cooking with Cricut #69

Hello everyone, it is hump day!  That means challenge time over at Cooking with Cricut.  I so love my project for this challenge!

For this week's CWC Challenge #69, the theme:  Winter Warmth (scarves, hats, fireplace, hot chocolate, etc.)

So for my project, I looked up mugs. When I saw this mug, I knew what I was going to do.  A great cup of hot chocolate!!  I wanted it all shades of brown, no pattern paper.  I got a stamp set from Melissa, and one of the sentiments were perfect.  Thanks Melissa:)  I hope you enjoy my project, swing over to CWC and join in this week!!

CWC Cricut Showcase: Elegant Edges

JME Design Team project, CLICK HERE!

Hello and welcome!!  Today, I am sharing with you projects from one of my favorite cartridges: Elegant Edges!  I love this cartridge because it is so versatile.   The features make your ideas limitless, just use your imagination!

I love to use Elegant Edges for the border feature, which acts just like a border punch. You get so many varieties without having to purchase a different punch for each project. The scallop border punch in this card was created with elegant Edges.  This is a great feature!

I also used the “postage stamp” oblong feature for the backgrounds on this card.

The “Oblong Frame” feature adds a great touch to any card.  This frame makes the card look like it has depth, dimension and breaks up the paper.

Finally, my most favorite, favorite feature is the “Shadow”.    This feature allows me to make great shape cards.   There are so many great shapes and the “shaped” card making potential is endless!!  I still have some great ideas I want to try, so be on the lookout!

So take the plunge and discover all that Elegant Edges has to offer.

For my most recent project, I used the oblong feature.  I was going to use my spellbinder but I had too many, to do them one at a time.   Because I needed so many cutouts,  I decided to use Elegant Edges.  I was able to get the same effect but easier to make.  I used the scallop shape for these beautiful table number settings.

Oh How Sweet!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Turkey Day is tomorrow; time for family, friends and good eating!!!  Today is Cooking with Cricut Design Team day!  We have challenges every Wednesday, so make sure to stop by and have some fun!

It is National Bible week and Challenge #61, the theme is "Bible Verse or Quote". I selected Psalms 119, where it speaks about the sweetness of God's words.  The digi image and scripture are from PaperCraftingWorld.  The scalloped edge is from the border feature of Elegant Edges.

Cooking With Cricut Wednesdays

Hello, I am so excited to announce, I have some super news!!!!   I have been selected as a Designer for Cooking with Cricut.   This is my first design team project, we have challenges every Wednesday.

This week our Challenge #55 is "Cake, Cupcake or Teddy Bears"!!   You can use one, two or all three images on your project.  I used two:)

I used Elegant edges to make the card, opening and decorative oval, using my Gypsy.  The image is a digi from PaperCraftingWorld.  It was colored with copics!  I  used Glossy Accents to make the chocolate look more delicious!!  Sentiment is My Creative Time.

Come on by and join in the fun this week, over at Cooking with Cricut!
