Guys, can you believe my shop is opening this coming Wednesday?! Both the colour block bag and delicate triangle studs are from there. How adorable, right? 1) This post from Liz from the blog Sequins and Stripes. I honestly relate to every word and could not have said it better myself!!

2) Doing the Radical Marriage series through our church was amazing! I'm thrilled to see you can now order the DVD box set too. This is definitely something I'd like to re-watch with Martin throughout the year. I can honestly say it did wonders for our marriage as well as brought us so much closer.

3) Um, k, so I'm totally obsessed with my blog besties recently opened instagram account. Her blog is equally spectacular!

4) Need this beautiful acrylic painting in my life. Oh how I swoon every time I see it!

5) Happy day, my favourite Loeffler Randall polka dot flats are on SALE! Yeah, baby!

Five things i love

It feels pretty great to be back to my normal posting schedule this week. My previous week was a little hairy & chaotic... being that I'm a creature of habit, this week has been suiting me much better. Today I'm popping in to share a "five things i love" round up + a few of my faved links. And amen for the weekend! I finally get to spend time with my husband... it's been two weeks and counting. On Saturday, we're doing our annual holiday brunch with friends and then Sunday we're delivering a Christmas hamper to a family in need. Happiest weekend, friends!

1). Loved Andrea's outfit from earlier this week. That girl knows how to do cozy! And seriously, don't you just want to steal all her shoes?! ;)

2). Martin & I haven't had a ton of time to get in the x-mas mood. Boo! But Tieka's awesome winter pinterest board sure is helping get my holiday cheer on. So beautiful!

3). Listening to Songza's Cozy Christmas Hits station during my work day, has been pretty darn fabulous!

4). This skirt would be perfect for Christmas dinner, especially when paired with this fair isle sweater.

5). And yay, I ordered business cards for the blog. Gold polka dots are slowly taking over my life. Haha!

My love for all things glitter & gold is in full swing and I'm blaming it on the approaching holidays. How can you not get swept up, right?! It's just so darn fun. Currently, I'm oogling this fabulous gold metallic pullover (gorgeous with skinnies or a pleated midi) and this sequin and lace top (perfect with a cigarette pant or pencil skirt) both of which are from Banana Republic.

And don't even get me started on the polka dot flats and layered sweater which I've featured above. Ah, so good!! I'll admit both are a wee bit over my budget. But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll end up on sale or make their way to the clearance section. Hunting down sales? It's kind of my thing. Oh, and one last thing.. who's inviting me over for glitter donuts?!!

Hello "5 things i love" and helloooo Friday! These past two weeks have been an absolute blur for Martin & I. Packed work schedules, lots of social obligations and we both have several projects on the go. So yes, Friday. And... thank goodness for the weekend too. We're hoping to sneak away & get some much needed downtime together. I've hardly seen that handsome husband of mine! I also (insert squeals + lots of excitement) booked in with an amazing stylist in the city for a balayage treatment in November. I'm hoping to add lots of honey blonde highlights to my hair. Hello, Friday! I'm delighting in the fact that we're going on day two of beautiful & glorious sunshine. Yippee, I'm sure my fellow Vancouverites are feeling the epicness of this situation. You may have also noticed that I gave my "5 things i love" post a little re-vamp. The other format was feeling a bit cumbersome, so voila, a re-vamp it is. And there's a new blog logo in town too. Thanks to my super talented friend, Lynn of Hearted Girl. I'm smitten!

As for this weekend... we're off to see friends for a little BBQ action tomorrow and then grabbing some pumpkins for our home on Sunday. I'm hoping to paint them white, and then add gold polka dots as well as stripes. Fun, right?!

5 things i love

It's hard to believe it's time for another "5 things i love" post. Wow, where did the days go?! Even though I recently hurt my back, ouch, I've been working hard at keeping my workout resolutions going... I'm currently doing yoga 4 x a week & trying to run at least 3 x a week, and feeling really good as a result. Plus, I just picked up my bike from my parent's house and I've been biking on our nearby trails after work. Kind of the perfect way to end off summer if you ask me. Anywho, here's this week's crush-worthy items!...

1). I've been eying this necklace like crazy for the past few months, and I FINALLY nabbed one. I absolutely love, love Merl's jewelry of Clydes Rebirth. I swear, every piece is absolutely stunning. Plus, all the pieces are made from vintage & pre-loved materials... great for eco-conscious gals!

2). Just add tights & booties. Say hello to my fall uniform. How adorable is this dress?!... And what's more, the price is unbelievably fantastic. I just discovered Ark Fashion and can't wait to give them a try!

3). I recently pinned this photo because I'm kind of obsessed with Maggie's beautiful hair. I'd love to try lightening my tips for fall. We'll see, for now I'll just pretend this is my hair, k?!... 

4). Animal print ballet flats... swoon, these are the most perfect shoes for fall. Can't wait to rock these with my skinnies and retro inspired dresses. Just bought em'!

5). I love sprucing up our home with cute kitchen towels and these one's are too adorable. Love the black & white aesthetic + they're the perfect blend of modern/retro.

Happy Friday, guys! I'm back with my "5 things i love" feature and happy to hear you enjoy these types of posts because I really love putting them together. I've been dreaming up all sorts of new inspirations for myself lately. In fact, yesterday I bought a gorgeous new artist's journal and I'm hoping to start scrap booking as a way to collect all my beloved inspirations. I'm excited, it'll be fun! In any case, here's a peek at what I'm loving lately...

1). I just ordered a beautiful Ikat pencil skirt from Cori Lynn's gorgeous shop. However, now I have my eye on this one too. Um, a pencil skirt with anchors on it? How unbelievably adorable! 

2). I currently have one tattoo but I'm hoping to get another. Since I'm still deciding on what I want... I thought I'd play around with this fun hand drawn camera tattoo from Tattly. So perfect for a photographer lover like me! 

3). This DIY is all kinds of fabulous. The gold polka dots are just the cutest + you could add them to anything... a canvas for your gallery wall, curtains or even throw pillows. Here's a link to the original post from the paper mama.

4). Is there anything sweeter than handwritten thank you notes?! I'm loving these ones from Moorea Seal's new shop and everything else for that matter! Moorea has curated such a stunning collection of items - be sure to take a peek. You won't be disappointed! 

5). My love for Madewell runs deep, very deep. And this cross body bag is so freakin' rad, I don't know what more to say. Love it, want it!

i'm excited to introduce a new (twice monthly) feature for the blog "5 things i love". a fun way to share whats got me feeling inspired and give you guys a little peek into what i'm hoping to add to my closet. oh, and hey, it's friday! what's everyone up to this weekend?!...

1). this dress from modcloth absolutely makes my heart flutter. i'm dreaming of pairing it with a statement necklace, black tights and my favourite pair of booties. love it so much!

2). i'm so inspired by jen's of jen loves kev gorgeous living room and gallery wall. i grabbed this photo from her instagram but you can see a full tour of her home here. i'll be doing a gallery wall for our bedroom later this month, and this is the perfect jumping off point. adore this eclectic mix!

3). you may have noticed my latest fitness & diet tweets. i've been back on my weight watchers diet plan and hitting the gym. i kinda fell off the bandwagon there. anywho, i absolutely love these nike print leggings from jd sports. cute workout clothes definitley help me stay motivated!

4). i love everything from stella & dot's fall collection but the frida necklace is especially making me weak at the the knees. those colours! pretty amazing, right?! i can't wait to pair mine with skinny jeans, a chevron patterned blouse & tweed blazer.

5). if you're a regular reader, you know my love for maxi dresses! and this one is so, so beautiful. the lace is such a pretty and perfectly romantic touch. plus, i adore how lulu's styled this awesome dress. want!
