where have I been?

...well....I did it! I did my 2009 photo album. finished it. this is a big achievement. in our 7.5 yrs of marriage this is our first and only year scrapbooked! and my new goal...get each previous year done by Valentines Day, and it will become "we love our family" day where we look at the previous years events and celebrate family. that way, with all these girls, I figure valentines day will always be about just loving each other and they don't have to have it ruined by some sappy boyfriend in the future...haha

scrapping made easy

I like this website because they have a sale on their 10x12 photobooks about every other month. Up to 100 pages. They give you the book for a total of about 25$ and this includes shipping. Then they put their prints on sale often for 6 cents. Maybe they do this because the ease and quality they offer in the photo book isn't quite as great as some of the other photo sites out there. But for a full scrapbook, it's good enough for me. That's my kind of scrapbooking in this world of hundreds of digital photos.

Scrapbooking is Definitely ART

This is an area of 'art' where I definitely could use help. I consider it my sister-in-laws specialty and when it comes to real embellishments and cardstock, I will let her have it! (She has tried to convince me otherwise!) Now, I made this scrapbook page digitally using Paint Shop Pro, and I love the page (I copied the idea from a scrapbook magazine). But it took me SOOOO long to do it. I had to make every embellishment; every little bit you see was pieced together. I know there are faster ways to do this. I just don't know those ways.
