A Spoon Full of Sugar Chellenge 21 - Sketch by Lim

Our challenge over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar" this week is to follow a sketch by the very talented Lim. We have a yummy prize this week from our new sponsor Roses on Paper. Summer the owner of this shop has very kindly donated gorgeous papers, flowers and a magnolia stamp.

For my card this week I have used High Hopes "Sitting Princess" and "Rock wall". I stamped the wall then masked it to chalk the pale blue sky. The swirls and sentiment are from the Lizzie Anne Design Little bits set "Once upon a Time".

Hope your having a great week. I'm off on a school trip with Zoe today and we're having a sporty day at a local sports centre.

Hugs,

Spooked!

I had lots of fun making these halloween projects using Lizzie Anne Designs 'Spooked' stamp set. You can find these stamps and lots of other cute Lizzie Anne Stamps here at Silly Monkey Crafts. When I saw Isa's fabulous sketch this week over at Ismaki I knew this would be just perfect to use for my card. I must admit I did find the swivel bit tricky but it's the first time i've done this style of card and you know what they say....

If you like my little favor/treat box you can find the details of how to make it here. I totally recommend a Scor-Pal for these type of projects and they make it so quick and easy. Don't you just love these fun and cute keepsake brads by Karen Foster Designs. Nearly all the products used on my work can be found at Silly Monkey Crafts.

Inside

Before I go I just wanted to show you the below beautiful card I received from my friend Crissy. Thank you so much Crissy and I am just so happy to have one of your cards to admire up close. That isn't all this wonderful and talented lady has just given me the "I Love your blog" award too. You are the best!

You may have noticed that I have created a new blog to house my sketches I create. Please feel free to use them and if you do leave a link so I can come and visit you.

Have a great weekend and I should be back soon as I've already started my next card!

Happy Birthday Princess

Here is another creation using the cute "Once upon a Time" set from Lizzie Anne Designs. A selection of Lizzie Anne Design stamps are available to buy at Silly Monkey Crafts. I am entering this card into the new challenge blog Mother and Daughters Creations and this week they are asking you to use your nestabilities dies.

I have used my new card stock from SU and I just love the colours in the Bold Brights collection - totally me and you'll be seeing lots more of them!

I would like to thank Jacqui who passed the above award to me during the week. If you haven't visited her blog before go and check out her amazing creations and she also updates her blog regularly (so much so I have trouble keeping up with her!)

I am going to pass the award to Cindy. I have only just found her blog this week but just love her style and great use of nestabilities and embossing. My card today was inspired by her wonderful work.

Hope you are all having a great weekend and see you Tuesday with my challenge card,
Hugs,

Once Upon a Time Bookmark

Ok, so my last card was one for the boys so now I have gone very girly. This fits in very nicely with the Challenge over at Cute Card Thursday this week which is to make a card or other project for a Child.

I have made this bookmark for one of Zoe's friends. The bookmark is made out of Tim Holtz idea-ology Grungeboard which is fabulous stuff as it is so tough and flexible. I have stained it with VersaMagic Chalk ink. The fun little stamps are from the Once upon a time set by Lizzie Anne Designs. The princess and her hat are separate stamps so I stamped the princesses hat first then masked it to then stamp the princess. This set if fabulous value and contains so many other little bits (including the swirl) and comes in a jewel case. It is an ideal set for birthday cards and party invitations for your little princess. If you pop over to Silly Monkey crafts you will see that they stock a great range of these new stamps.

Lizzie Anne Designs

Silly Monkey Crafts have some fab new stamps by Lizzie Anne Designs. Here is my card I used with the Latte cup. I've gone for an American style card today and sometimes you need to have a stamp which is more classic than cutesy. I loved these AMM Signature Accents too and they were ideal for stamping on and adding a little interest to my card.

Hope you all have a fab weekend and pop back soon for a chance to win some candy as i'm very near to hitting 10,000 hits!

Hugs,

I used one of the Accents on the back of my card to add my personalised stamp.
