Food Fare- Baked Beans!

Summer holidays are great for potluck and trying new recipes.

I recently tried these beans from a local grocery deli and loved them. I did a bit of searching online and found the recipe! These work great in the crock pot as well.

Since it's  my design day over at SVG Cut Club, I used Sketch 55 as my page design and just added my recipe.

Food Fare - PB Bars

I am back to scrapping more recipes. 

This is one I saw recently and knew it would be good. First, it has
peanut butter and chocolate. Second, it is a no bake recipe.

Since it's  my design day over at SVG Cut Club, I used Sketch 53 as my page design and just added my recipe.

I used the sketch 50 from the new bundle to make my 8x8 recipe page.

This cake recipe is super simple and so yummy. It is the first cake I learned to make since everything is mixed in the pan you bake it in. 

I resized all the parts of the page layout to 8x8 for my recipe page.

The page layouts in all the bundles are perfect for quick scarpbook layouts or in my case recipe pages.

I am sure that you either have this recipe or have tasted these yummy bars. 

They are one of my all time favorites so they deserved a place in my scrapbook recipe book.

Food Fare - Mac Attack!

I'm popping in today to share  a great layout from the January bundle I did for yet another recipe page.

I discovered this recipe on Pinterest and tried it for the first time for a football party last weekend.
It was good enough to make it into my scrapped recipe book.

 I used sketch 45 from the January bundle as the base. The sketch comes with some heart die cuts, however, I switched them out for macaroni that I found in the Kawaii mac and cheese file.

This months bundle has the perfect files to add to my recipe layout collection. 

This layout features a holiday side dish recipe from a couple wonderful ladies in our family. 

I used sketch 44 and the aw shucks title to decorate the page.

A Garden of PB Blossoms

As the fall season continues my recipe focus shifts to cookies for the holidays. A favorite is the Peanut Butter Blossom Cookie topped with a morsel of chocolate.

Sketch 41 from the new November bundle is the perfect design for this recipe page. I scaled everything to the 8x8 size. I then added my recipe in the place where you could put photos. 

Finished it off with the simple garden tools and watering can from SVG Cutting files.

Bake it Happen

I am continuing on with my quest to get all these favorite recipes scrapped and in books.
Here is another favorite during the holidays.

I started with the October page layout sketch 39 as my design guide for the page. I resized it all to 8x8 vs the 12x12. 

The center circle was resized to an oval to accommodate the complete recipe.
I then added the Bake it Happen title cut file  all from the October bundle.
Too many fun files this month for the holiday baking pages in your albums.

I am using a page sketch from the new September bundle for my recipe page today.

This recipe page is scaled to 8"x 8".
This chicken dish is an all time favorite of mine found in a church cookbook. 

The sketch layout file is music themed, but I switched out the record shapes for 

chickens and added my own title using my silhouette design software. 

The Nuvo crystal drops added a touch of dimension and

covered up a tiny mistake I had on the page.

Yup- another recipe page. I can't  resist!

This is a favorite recipe from a church cookbook. I have several cookbooks and always forget which one this recipe is in. Now I have it in my scrapped book so it will be easy for me to find anytime i want to make it.

I started the page by  using the August page sketch 35. I added  handles and bottoms to the circles in the layout to mimic the lantern the Geisha girl is  holding.

Food Fare Friday- Apple Strudel!

It's my design day over at SVG Cutting Files and
I am still going strong with scrapping my recipes this summer.

Today I am using a new file in the SVG cutting Files store today called the Owl baker. It is one of many new owl themed files released today.

For all the Owl lovers out there... you are going to love these new files!

This recipe is so simple and easy to do if you need a quick dessert.
The new owl file is so darn cute on this page.

The apples, potholders, rolling pin, bowl and title are also from SVG Cutting Files.

I am using files from the July bundle release- page layout sketch 32, and yes, it is another recipe page. 

I am finding using the sketch layouts perfect for resizing to my 8x8 recipe book and getting caught up with the many recipes I need to scrap. 

This reprice is an all time favorite and great for a quick dinner.

Food Fare Recipe Page

Hey there! Today is my Design Team day for SVG Cutting Files Cut Club.

Today I used a page layout from  new June bundle to make my recipe page.

The recipe is for French onion dip so I thought a little French flare would be in order so I added the Eiffel tower and the poodle.
Once I had the page designed in the Silhouette design studio,
I grouped it all and then resized it to 8x8.

The great thing about the page layouts is though they are designed for 12x12 they are easy to size for those 8x8 books as well.

It's my day to share a new project over at SVG Cutting Files.  I love the fall season with the pumpkins, squash, beautiful colors and the wonderful smells of fall baking.

It's been a while since I've done a Food Fare Friday, but today's release in the SVG store has the perfect file to go with any fall recipe page.

My recipe page features the new Chibi Fall Boy with Pumpkin. He is so super cute. He would be great on pumpkin picking page layouts as well.

Blueberry French Toast - a Food Fare Recipe!

Well it's Friday and already the first Friday in June. Where is the year going?

Today is my turn to share a project over at SVG Cutting Files using some of the fantastic svg files available in the store. 

I am always adding 8x8 layout pages to my recipe books, but today, I'm starting a whole new book for my son who is moving to a new apartment this month.  

So one of the first recipes to add to the new book must be one of our all-time favorites, the Blueberry French Toast. 

It goes together super quick the night before just like this page with the super cute toaster and toast slices. 

All the svg files I used today are part of the Kawaai Kitchen Set. The PKS Kawaii stamps make putting small faces on the bread slices a breeze. 

If you try this recipe, know that any leftovers are great the next day, provided you have leftovers.

Food Fare - Banana Bread

Happy Monday!!

It's my day over at the Jaded Blossom Blog and I have combined it with a Food Fare project for a new banana bread recipe we've been trying in our house. I think it's a keeper.

My recipe page is 8"x8". 

I added a tag line across the top using the Jaded blossom Baked with Love stamps and  added hearts form the Birthday Dies. The spatula chef monkey is holding can be found in the Baking Dies set. 

Chef Monkey  is a mash up of  the Sock Monkey Mayem and What's Cooking svg files from SVG Cutting Files along with the Kawaii Banana file. Its banana bread after all.

Jaded Blossom March Release- Day 3- Food Fare

It's Wednesday already and day three of the Jaded Blossom March Release week and we have more stamps to show you.

I have been a bit behind with keeping up with my Food Fare Friday so when I get a chance I try to sneak one in. Therefore, my project today is doing double duty with a new recipe page using the new JB stamps.

This has been a favorite recipe of mine for a long time. I'm not really sure where it came from, but we love it. It also freezes well.

 I printed the recipe in two parts and then used today's stamp release set, Seeds of Friendship, to stamp a border around it. Then I just used copics to add some color. 

What's really cool, this border stamp is sized to coordinate and fit the front of the Goody Bag die!
