BLOG TOUR: Ariel's Song by Evie Knight

Image
Thanks to BTS Tours for hosting this blog tour. I'm sharing my review of Ariel's Song by Evie Knight today. Happy reading! ***************************** Summary: Colin Hoskins, famous classical violinist, is tainted by his past. Angry at life, unable to move beyond the betrayal of his dead fiancé, he’s sworn off performing or falling in love ever again. All Colin wants is to be left alone, except no one listens. Especially the pretty little assistant he can’t fire and his body burns to claim. Stranded in a foreign country, bankrupted heiress Ariel Parks needs a job to fund her way home. Assistant of sorts to the musician she’s fantasized about for years sounds like a dream job. She never imagined the gorgeous genius would be a reclusive beast. But the real problem is the way every nerve in her body tingles at the mention of his name. REVIEW: A Very Demon Christmas by Evanne Lorraine

Image
***This book was originally reviewed for Book Trailer Showcase .*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: Holly loves her job as a private nurse, but the ill and injured offer little chance to explore her secret longings, especially not for a submissive seeking a master worth risking her heart. For openers, she's immune to his mind games. H...

BLOG TOUR: Bidding Wars by Lacey Wolfe

Image
Thanks to Book Trailer Showcase for hosting this blog tour. I have Lacey Wolfe, author of Bidding Wars here today talking about her love of reading. Welcome! ***************************** Thank you for having me on your blog today. On top of writing my own stories, I spend a lot of time with my nose to my kindle. Reading a lot is not only a great escape and stress reliever, but it also helps me improve my writing. When I read stories and see the way other authors might have crafted a scene, or even a dialogue tag they used, it sticks with me. Sometimes I learn a different way to say things, such as she wrapped her hands around his neck as she kissed him to: she laced her fingers together around his neck as she kissed him . I might not have thought of that wording myself. I wouldn’t call it stealing someone else’s words, but learning. And as a writer, it’s important to always be learning and finding ways to make our stories even better for readers. My hope is for readers...

BLOG TOUR: Knowing His Secret by KC Falls

Image
Thanks to Book Trailer Showcase for hosting this blog tour. I'm sharing a little bit about Knowing His Secret by KC Falls. Happy reading! ***************************** He looked like the kind of man even my mother would call smokin' hot. Eventually, she did. He felt like the kind of man who didn't just break the rules, but made new ones. He led and it was follow or get out of the way. Why did a billionaire with a voice like liquid silk and a face like a bad angel take a second look at a girl in no-name jeans, with a fifteen-dollar haircut and a beat up car she calls her "Eep" because the 'J' fell off long ago? I didn't want to know why and when I thought I knew I didn't want to admit it. By the time I found his secret, it was already too late. His passion had me hooked like a drug. It didn't hurt that he pulled the people I love the most out of harm's way. A girl can get used to a knight in shining armor even when the ar...

Happy reading! ***************************** Recap: Remy and Philippe are dragon shifters and have found their mate in Lilly. However, their enemies will try anything to ruin their newfound happiness. Obeying Dragon law, they meet their enemies in battle, but will they lose Lilly anyway in doing so? Title:   The Summoning Series:   Dragon's Lair Book #:  2 Author:   Seraphina Donavan Approximate Book Length:   46 Pages Recommended Reader Age:   18+ Sexual Content:   Explicit Thoughts: I’ll say it up front that this book is more sex than storyline. That being said, it’s hot sex, and what storyline there is ain’t bad. The world is neat, though maybe a little old fashioned, and I really liked the relationship between Remy, Philippe, and Lilly. Having not read the first book, I felt ...

BLOG TOUR: Prophecy of the Flame by Lynn Hardy

Image
Thanks to Book Trailer Showcase for hosting this blog tour. I'm interviewing Lynn Hardy, author of Prophecy of the Flame today. Welcome! ***************************** Have you always wanted to be an author? Actually, I wanted to be a journalist. My college instructor told me that I couldn’t catch my typos so no editor would ever hire me. (This was before WORD) He told me to change my major. I dropped out of college, giving up my dreams to become a housewife. What inspired the idea for the Prophecy of the Flame series? My husband and I were going through marriage counseling. The shrink asked me to write from my earliest memories with as much detail as I could manage. I handed her ten pages, single-spaced, typed, twice a week. A few months later she said, “I have to tell you: I’ve asked my patients to write for me for the last 20 years, but this is the first time I want to sit down on the couch with a cup of tea and see what happens next in a clients life.” Soo...

Find my review for it below. ***************************** Recap: Dr. Running Deer is an American Indian doctor who has forsaken the ways of his people for modern medicine. His world unravels when he meets a woman and the past collides with present. Can he defeat the evil that haunts him? Title:   The Chief of All Time Series:   Medicine Man Book #:  1 Author:   SR Howen Approximate Book Length:   300 Pages Recommended Reader Age:   18+ Sexual Content:   Moderate Thoughts: This was a unique story for me. It took me a while to get into it, but once I did it was weird, creepy, interesting, and compelling. It was confusing at times, but only because the main character was confused too as to what was real and what wasn’t. Morning Dove presented a great complexity as y...

Here's here today to share a little bit about what it's like for him as a gay romance author. Happy Reading! ***************************** Queerer Than You Can Imagine Wanna hear a funny ... well, if not funny then at least odd ... story? In a previous installment you heard of my journey from amateur to professional writer. Pornographic (mostly), but a professional writer nonetheless. Since I published by first story in 1993 I've been – to put it mildly – writing up a storm. I'm not going to inflict my entire bio on you (that's at the bottom of this piece as well as on my site at www.mchristian.com) but let's just say that I've written quite a few stories – that have been collected into quite a few collections – as well as more than a few novels. Onto the funny: quite a few of those stories, more than a few ...
