The Fantastic Three

When starting to work with those models I tried to pretty much reseble their 'cover' look. Well, it doesn't really apply to Ezekiel though, I made some simple changes to his color scheme to make him match more.
The color bases for amours and drapes were made with airbrush. I'm really fond of how blue librarians amours look with both lined and airbrushed highlights. Probably Ezekiel and the old guy are one of my most flashy paintjobs ever :P Colors are saturated and you can see many contrasts there, I also used many very bright paints for lights. Additionally power swords sure are flashy, I heard they were the reason for this commission ;P
This project got quite a lot of spare time for freehands so I put an effort to use it well :) I tried to add something ornamental to every cape though Belial was luckier than others getting half of his clothes decorated. There must be something in those velvet greens.
I had some hard time trying to make the bases look like ancient mosaic. I'm still not sure if the effect is close to what I imagined at first but it so happened that I accidentally did some nice looking marble arount the mosaic parts. Oh well :)

Hey guys so we painted up a Dark Angel army few weeks ago. This army appeared on the "BLOG WARS 5" Tournament in the UK. So after this tournament we received an email from the owner of this army that it won the best painted army award on the tournament. How awesome is that ^^? It's not the first time this has happened to us but every time it does it fills us with pride and with motivation to do more awesome armies. Keep those commission coming, we have a hunger that cannot be satisfied ^^. FOR KHORNE!!!! ...Wait what ?

The Veteran Style!

When you become extremely awesome in the Dark Angel ranks it's time to put on a dress! No but seriously I really like the veterans. They are much more interesting than the regular guys. The squad contains of one medic, banner bearer, a srg with a storm shield and a power sword and two pistol/chainsword combo guys. Cool dudes, I could hang out with them ^^.

Just two Predators having a good time.

   Predator Nb 1 love to dance, fancy feet moves putting you in a trans. I'll be adding some red elements to the armor of the tech marines but as other stuff is concerned they are finished. I like those mud splashes that I managed to achieve with a pigment filed brush and an airbrush. I used the air to throw the pigment from the brush in a chaotic manner.  The result can be seen below.
