i woke up earlier than usual today to go to church. i'm telling myself i must sleep earlier now. late nights is a no-no for me already. i read in an article that late nights is one of the causes of stress. anyway, i did not feel like talking much today. i was busy thinking of ideas for my d&t. this year's theme is manipulation. so i'm thinking of modyfing the music stand. and ate avie gave me a good idea :D

and oh, we had Lord's supper in church today. the last time we had it was like a few years back. So we tasted the tasteless square shape 'bread' and the small cup of grape juice once again. The little ones were looking at us curiously when we were taking it, they remind me of myself when i was young. I remember the church we attended in philippines had Lord's supper and i was throwing a tantrum cause my dad was a deacon and he didn't gave me a cup the grape juice that they were drinking. When the adults were done, they gave me a lot of grape juice to drink, i was so happy then!

i'm also happy. why? cause people are telling me that i lost weight. yay! though i myself know that i didnt really do much to lose any weight. we had our lunch today at the park in front of raffles club. it was nice, we like having a picnic under the tree. so many of us there, so it was rather enjoying.

it's going to be another busy week again. and tomorrow it's appreciation day i think. hopefully i'll be able to find time to post again tomorrow. my work's beckoning me now!

hello there!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ALL!

you know, i've been here in singapore for like almost ten years but it is only this year that i actually really know about chinese new year and went on my first 'visitation'. prawny invited beth and i to her house today.

it was my first time going on a visitation or visiting a friend on chinese new year , and i was worried whether it was all right, what to wear, what to do or bring although her parents were not so traditional chinese people. so today, i get to learn!

i realised that all the mandarin oranges at home were all eaten up already. and i have to have oranges to give to her parents. so i rushed to my neighbourhood shops, hoping some shops will be open to sell me oranges.but only the 7 eleven shop was open. grabbed a box of oranges and four bottles of soft drinks and brought it to the cahsier. i felt bad, he tried to explain to me at first that it would be cheaper to buy two bottles of ice lemon tea instead of one only. i didn't get what he meant and i snapped at him. in the end, he was nice and even helped me with my heavy things. gah, it was my fault actually.

my brother was still busy eating his lunch when i asked him to accompany me. so i couldnt get him to help me carry the box of oranges and bottles of drinks i was carrying. my, i was having a hard time trying to carry all of those heavy things and an unmbrella in my other hand cause it was raining! i was wet in the rain too!

that's why i was late in meeting beth. and also because i was on my way to meet her at clementi while she waiting for me at queenstown! ah, i'm so blur today! and she and i were the complete opposite in the way we were dressed. she said she was too casual while i was too formal. so in a way, i was overdressed and she's underdressed. haha! when i left home, i was worried that i was too casual.

so we went to her house after a grabbing a quick bite. greeting her parents a happy chinese new year wasnt as awkward as i thought. they were really nice people! left soon after watching tv and eating her tidbits, including dreyers and pineapple tarts!

so that was how i spent the second day of chinese new year lah, but for tonight, i'm gonna hit the books again! study yay!

look at me, look at me!
i'm so short!

everyone is at sentosa to enjoy the weekend, while i have the liberty of having the whole house to myself on this lazy saturday. the sky is no longer gloomy, and the weather's just perfect to be a nerd and be with the books.

i'd rather stay at home today than spend the day at sentosa only to come home feeling exhausted. it was a busy week, with valentine's day, the chinese new year preparations, noticeboard and tests, i've been kept busy. but at last, yesterday we loosened up a bit.

i woke up late yesterday morning, i did not hear my alarm clock ring, but i was surprised that it was swtich off. weird, my sister told me i had unknowingly switched it off when i was in a sleepy state. so it was late when i reached the bus stop, but i waited for so long for the stupid. i wanted to take a taxi but none were available. in the end, my bus came, two of it. i was mad with the bus for arriving so late, i wanted to glare at the driver. just when i was worrying whether i'd be late for school, i met huixuan on the bus. and also peixian and jiamin at the bus stop!

i was relieved i arrived in school just on time, and i decided to let marion do the cookie. i was scared that i'd screwed it up again!

then after our lessons, we had the chinese new year concert. it seems that every year, it's the same programme for chinese new year. but the most entertaining was the gym people and the malay dance. at least it's something a little different and grabbed the audience's attention.

many seniors came back, including kaiying and sherlin. long time since we last seen each other. we met up with the others and exchanged valentine's day gifts! then we went to have a chat with mdm nur laila, she's funny and nice. although she may be too strict at times, it'll be for our good.

so i left the school with ana and beth for vivocity. we should have went straight to book our tickets instead of having our lunch first. in the end the tickets were sold out, and so we took the train to tiong bahru. met pearlyn on the way there. when we were reaching the platform, the door was about to be closed, i rushed in, thinking both of them were behind me. but i turned around to see them outside the closed doors of the train! haha! so i've to wait for them in the next station.

we booked the tickets, sat at the stone table outside old chang kee to drink our sweet talk and studied maths. it wasn't that distracting although many people were passing by and the wind was making it comfortable to sit there.

then it was time to watch the movie we've been waiting and excited for, epic movie. but alas, it was a disappointment. wasted $9.50 on its cheap humour and its lame scenes. it wasn't as good and as funny as we had expected. it should be NC16, and not for the eyes of young children.

so that was my friday, i've to go have my lunch now. my stomach is asking for food. and hurray for the two days of holiday! boo, for the amount of homework given!

give me a paper bag, i need to hide my face. that was on my mind when i was up there with a hundred pairs of eyes looking at me. i can't believe i made a stupid blunder okay! so dumb dumb of me! i was so confident of saying my line well, and so on. but i wasn't prepared at all when it comes to pronouncing the names, especially chinese names.
i felt like i need to hide my face or just run away. i wonder why i always say the surname Lim instead of Lam and Lim again instead of Yeo. ahh,i need to go kick myself! so embarassing can!

is there such thing as stress pills or something? i think i need one. i need one to stop myself from pulling my hair out, i've got so much work load to do. so much on my mind. and one thing that's bothering me is that the classroom is very messy and also my table is very messy. i stand messy places, it makes me go wild!

and i think im not used to sleeping late anymore like i used to last time. last night i stayed up till 2.30 am only, and i got a freaking headache the whole day. and of course i couldn't concentrate lah. ms chee said earlier during her lesson that there was a study conducted and it was found that those who didnt get enough sleep will have a part of their brain not replenishing the brain cells. haha! no wonder, i made the stupid blunder lah.

we had our test after school today, it's a good thing cause who cares if it's valentine's day? valentine's day made me go broke, and gave me a headache on what to buy for pressies but anyway, it's so nice to recieve valentine's day goodies. love is really in the air. you see, today i witness things like, friends expressing thier love for a friend, a friend showing love for a special someone and you can see couples everywhere. it's also nice to know that someone whom you didnt expect to do something, can be very sweet and sincere too.

so anyway, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

beth's card (:

and i wanna say thank you to you all for the valentine's day gifts
they're very much appreciated (:

i wonder why taxi drivers complain that they don't have business when we commuters should be the one complaining that there aren't enough taxis around? i waited for like almost half an hour the other time, the taxis coming my way were either occupied or won't stop. and when i call the hotline, the lines were busy. it got me mad last night waiting for the taxi. mrt was the best way i could get home fast then, took me only 3o minutes! even the tourists behind me were irritated with the transport services.

on the other hand, i experienced the most most embarassing moment yesterday! i think i can say it will be my most embarassing moment and probably painful moment of the year. i was the last one to alight from the bus as it stopped a few distance away from the bus stop. i rememeber vividly tapping my card onto the reader and the next thing i knew, i was on the ground, with both of my hands on the ground while my poor feet had hit the concrete side of the pavement there. gosh, i think i must have lost my balance or missed a step. i don't know why i can't recall, i've got stml! so anyway, poor me. i quickly crawled my legs from the roadside there, fearing that the wheels of the bus would crush my feet into pulp. i think i must have looked dumb dumb crawling there. HAHA! but legs hurt like crap okay, they were shaking as i tried to stand up. good thing i had an extra plaster with me, it came in handy for my wound. stupid lah! why am i always so clumsy, always falling down?!

earlier in the morning, we had our flag day. it wasn't as bad as i had thought. i had imagined myself standing there, desperately holding out my tin. but instead, i realised that singaporeans are generous. but of course, i knew that long ago. but i initially thought no one would bother to stop by and donate. there was this guy who donated $10, and a mother gave her each of her kids with lots of coins and another woman looked like she felt bad for not donating as she walked past me a while later, she came back and dropped in a few coins. so nice of them right?

while they were some nice people, there were some who just smiled if they didnt donate and those i didnt like, they look at you for a second and after looking at the tin i was holding, he pretended i was transparent. smile was the least you could do lah! then got this funny and weird guy, i asked him for donations, and he answered back " eee! NKF! dont want dont want, bluff people one!''. haha! i guess he didnt see the label on my tin or he's too involve in the NKF case.

we girls met up in macs in the morning to have our breakfast, then we split up. i was with prawny, at first we didnt know where to go. until finally she decided she want to rest at the cool shade at the burlington square there. i was bored just sitting down there, so i merely did my job and asked for donations. it was great actually, and i enjoyed it! baba joined us too.

after we finished, returned the tins back and waited for beth & audrey with kelly and yanci. i wanted to buy that bag alane had bought, but i couldn't find it in bugus street! it was so so crowded, like packed sardines. it's better not to go there during the chinese new year period. we were too tired and cant decide where to eat, so we ate desserts at the foodcourt and went home after that.

went home, email-ed ms choong the homework, grab my bag and left the house to meet them at orchard, and that's when i had my most embarassing moment this year! so i was limping when i met erica. we walked around wisma atria, knowing they would be late (as usual!) after they came, an hour later, we took the bus to newton. i was tempted to go home, my homework was waiting for me at home. i'm guilty of not studying since friday!

so it was my first timein newton food centre, the place reminded me of east coast's food centre, they were alike, just that east coast food centre was deserted. we ordered buttered prawns, chili kangkong, some kind of squid, and stingray! sumptuous dinner, after a tiring day. and a big thanks to alane, it was her treat (:
pictured of yesterday, i'll post them soon!

have a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOILENG (:
my aunt and i were really late for church last sunday, the bus took ages to come and there was traffic too. but the bus ride was rather entertaining. this weird guy took the bus and said, '' yo yo, you pilipinos!'' and laughed to himself upon seeing us. he was really weird, he wore how many hats on his head, there must be about four or five of it on his head and he was carrying garbage bags. then he began to talk to himself, that's when i presumed he's rather eccentric. he scares me, but my aunt finds him funny, as he was talking about US$1 million, makati and some crazy stuff.

we were invited to Jethro's 1st birthday party after church, i didnt know it will be held in the hotel itself but in a room a few distance away only! so it was very convenient. His parents threw a huge birthday party ofr him and invited the whole church, whoa! we had buffet served for lunch, not bad but i like the french fries and the brocolli only! the kids were enjoying themselves too, there was a Mr.Amazing.

Jethro's very 1st birthday party!

it's been a pretty bad week for me.
and thank God it's the weekends.
the only day i'm looking forward to now is sundays.
the whole week i'm busy with lessons, studies, band and so on.
i'm only free on sundays, and i can see the clique five again <3 i'm beginning to dislike this year. it's so dull, like what ever happen to the crazy days we had in school? i haven't laugh so much for a long time or had crazy crazy fun. and what's more, i still miss 2006, it had been such a great rocking year i ever had. i miss it so much. i know i can't compare last year to 2007 but can't help it.

anyway, on wednesday, on our only free day ever since like when! we went to eat mee sua!! and prawny treated me to a strawberry sundae, so nice of her. thank you ana (:

the stone bench was so hot, it was burning our butts!

i was camera shy?

ana & bethy!
it seems so much much more of a challenge now.
what happened to us?
what happened to our so called unity?
i feel so alone in this battle.
