Presents

My older brother and sister-in-law-but-not-only sent some gifts for the kids this week. They gave Lilly a tea set.

I think She's seen enough Princess Movies at this point that she knew exactly how this works out.

So why, you might ask, did they send Lilly a tea set?  I'll Tell you: Because they also sent James his birthday present, and they are smart enough to know that she was going to go ballistic when she found out James got a toy that we are not allowing her to play with.

What what gift did James get?

Look at that curiosity...

Yep. He got a lightsaber. Just look at that joy infusing his face.

"By the power of Grayskull! I have the Power!" Oops, wrong pop culture reference.

See Lilly curled up in the corner? yep, that was her response. Get mad, melt down.

Sigh, A lightsaber in the house. I know kids grow up fast, but this is quicker than I was expecting. Oh, the questions this is going to raise. I mean, we have not even figured out how we are going to explain the birds and the bees to these kids, let alone questions like "Who's Jar-Jar binks and why does he exist?"

I don't know that I'm ready for this.

It's to late now, he hardly ever puts the thing down. He sleeps with it, for crying out loud.

Just look at him hug that thing.

Well, at least he can defend himself against his sister's all to frequent attacks.

Now if I can just get him to quit holding it by the blade.

Okay, now he's truly a little boy and not a baby. ;)
