I love how perfect the paper in the pack was for me to use to Paper Piece the Mummy. I also added ink to the edges of the image and to mats and edges of the card to add to the distressed look the papers already had.
I adore the new Martha Stewart spooky fence punch and I'm sure you'll see it on quite a few more cards before this year's Halloween crafting season is over.
I hope you'll go over to see the fabulous work of the rest of the team!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #14 - Buttons - Guest Sketch

Happy Wednesday!
It certainly is a time for change at The Pixie Cottage as we add another dimension to our challenges.
Starting this week we will be having a Special Guest Sketch Artist every other week to share a sketch with you! These are some of the most popular skechers in the card blogging world and you will be amazed at the work they have created for The Pixie Cottage

Starting us off is the artist from the uber (as my DS would say) popular challenge site Midnight Madness, yes it's Priscilla!
She has made this super sketch for us and if you run over to The Pixie Cottage you will see the fabulous card she made with the sketch using the super new Hannah With Butterflies by Sandra Hammer stamp which is one of my favorites!

Here is the exclusive sketch she created for us.

The additional thing we'd like to see this week is Buttons on your card.
Remember you can chose to do the Sketch, the product or both!

I found a few challenges to go with my card:

CRAFT - Buttons

The Pink Elephant - 1 image, 2 dies and 3 of your favorite embellishment (I've actually got 4!)

I hope you've enjoyed the card, if you have be sure to check out all the other Design Team member creations and maybe have a try at the sketch (or the buttons!) yourself.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge - Green

Happy Wednesday!
It's almost St Patrick's Day so to celebrate the team over at The Pixie Cottage are challenging you to use a little Green in your creations this week!
Also we have a very special surprise for you, we have a FREE digital image by our super artist and team member ArTish that we would love to see you use on your card!
I've used it and it sure is a cute image!
This is the first time we've offered a digital image and it will go in the store after the challenge is over in case you miss it.
Are we looking at going all digi on you? No, of course not, rubber is our first love but customer feedback has led us to know that some of you want the instant gratification and versitility of a digital image. But remember that the image is for your use only, sharing and copying files is stealing so please respect the artists time and skill by keeping the image for yourself. Feel free to post the link back to here for others to get the image but do not post it on your own blog.

Pixie Cottage Saturday Showcase - Kiss Me, I'm Irish

Happy Saturday,
I hope you aren't too fed up with the Winter Weather!
It's time for another Saturday Showcase from the Design Team at The Pixie Cottage and we should be bringing some warmth into your day.

I have a few challenges that I've used the image with:

Corrosive had a sketch that I gave a 1/2 turn to
Paper Jewels had their 1st challenge and it is "Cute and Girly"
Pinkle Art wanted Roses
Die Cut Dreams wanted you to Have a Heart
Stamp With Fun wanted Hearts
Daring Cardmakers wanted you to Have a Heart

Cute Card Thursday had an "In the Name of Love" theme
Totally Gorjuss wanted Love too!
Belli wanted Ribbon
Sassy Susie wants Hearts and Flowers
CCEE Stampers wanted you to look at a photo site and I chose this photo for my inspiration

I chose to use the lovely new stamp by Eileen Gutierrez called Fairy Molly.
She was originally a Valentines fairy but with a little change of color she becomes a St Patricks Day beauty!
The dp is just from my stash.
The ribbon is Michaels.
The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, definitely my new obsession!
The border punch is Marta Stewart Valentines Lace.

Inside is more dp and a ribbon topped message mat.

What other types of fairy an you imagine her as? I can see in so many roles, she's so sweet!
I love images that can work in my than one occasion and this is certainly one of those. She be perfect on a Birthday card, Valentines or even dressed up for Christmas!
