LEGO Galaxy Squad #70708 Hive Crawler Review

Hive Crawler sure do have it's own attraction and is one of the bug alien vehicle, which I think most of them look ugly except for Star Slicer and maybe this Hive Crawler. Picture below is taken from Brickset review:

70708 Hive Crawler

The crawling leg gimmick is really something that attracts some of the non Galaxy Squad collector. Maybe due to their curiosity on the technical side on how it moves. Comes with the Crawler are the new egg piece, new bug and new bug alien. I feel that the new minifigs are just a way of marketing to get people to buy the set. Anyway, the wheel is the only thing that I do not like, other than that I feel that this is a good set.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech Review

I feel that this new space theme is better than the previous space theme, with all the cool new vehicle that are coming. Although convertible mech is not something that are new, but it does not looks bad at all. Below picture is taken from Brickset review:

70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech

It is hard to resist for me to post update on review especially with all the nicely taken photo that will tempt everyone from getting a set of it. This set does comes with new parts as well, also happen to be a cheaper option to get that orange mech. For completest, all of the set is a must have I believe. The brick built bug is very good looking as well, how can I resist this.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70706 Crater Creeper Review

Here's more like a repeat of what I have posted before, but reading a few sources of review might be better before decides to grab a LEGO set. This review is make by Brickset and below picture are taken from the review:

70706 Crater Creeper

I personally do not own this set yet, but the small hover craft are neatly design. Although is small but some how the design managed to attract me compare to the bug crawler. It comes with normal Buggoid and I believe Galaxy Squad collector will have a lot of them, but luckily the Buggoid does not look bad at all.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70709 Galactic Titan Review

This is the largest set from Galaxy Squad at the moment, it looks bulky and I like bulky stuff, so I like the looks of it. Below are the box art picture taken from WhiteFang review in Eurobricks:

I'm waiting for this set to be release and if I have the budget, this is definitely a must grab for me. I waited for this to release ever since the prelim pics was leaked and looking at the review, it seems not bad at all.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70708 Hive Crawler Review

This set seems to looks good too, and it comes with catapult function. Also comes with this set are the two new bugs and the alien minifig. Image below taken from LuxorV review on Eurobricks:

The red team seems sad, all this while they are on small vehicle, seems like no funding for this team and all the have are those small vehicle to fight the alien. Anyway, this one seems cooler than Crater Creeper.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech Review

Here's another review from the Eurobricks team, #70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech. The set are not that bad as I expected. Below images are from the review:

The two brick built (mechanical) bug looks very nice. I still don't quite get how the replacement mechanical works, especially the pod come flying out and the mech take over from the back. Maybe the torso can rotate.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70706 Crater Creeper Review

This is the upcoming playset from Galaxy Squad, and it is not even release yet. Maybe TLG is sending out some set for people to do review. Image below is taken from Pandora's review in Eurobricks:

The Green Team sure get their vehicle downsize, but anyway, the set are focusing on the alien. This set do not really turn me on, but I probably still going to get it, that is, if I happen to owned all the set from this theme. Not much of a playability in this set, but it looks good.

Summer LEGO Galaxy Squad Images

Grogall has uploaded hi-res images on the upcoming Galaxy Squad set on Brickshelf, but it seems like the folder is not publish yet this morning. Anyway, below are the images that I manage to get from Eurobricks:

#70706 Crater Creeper

#70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech

#70708 Hive Crawler

#70709 Galactic Titan

I think the last two sets again looks very good, is so hard to resist the temptation.  Looking at the brick-built bug do looks great too. Really cannot wait for them to be released. Hopefully, by then I already have enough money to buy them.

LEGO Galaxy Squad - August

Hardly have time to rest for myself lately, is just  not easy being adult especially when you started to work and trying to get yourself updated with the latest news on your hobby. I like this theme, it gives me the classic feel, especially the cool playability on selected set while some are still so so.

70706 Crater Creeper 1
$19.99 USD
171 pieces

70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech 1
$39.99 USD
440 pieces

70708 Hive Crawler 1
$69.99 USD
560 pieces

70709 Galactic Titan 1
$99.99 USD
1,012 pieces

I have to admit that these are old news, but FBTB did a great job all the time in toy fair coverage. They just gives us all the information we are seeking for and not to mention the nice pictures that they have taken to share with us. Like the Galactic Titan very much, I like bulky stuff and it sure has good playability. Might just snap one up if budget allow.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70700 Space Swarmer Review

I have little to none knowledge about the Galaxy Squad release date in other countries but some country already do have them release. Brickset written a review on the smallest set of the Galaxy Squad #70700 Space Swarmer and below is the picture taken from the review:

70700 Space Swarmer

I do like this theme, but the price is just not right yet since is not officially available to all the countries around the world. Only some countries carries them and that is the reason why the price is still so high if I were to buy from the states. I just like the set very much, the part is good and the minifigs too, lso the price factor which is expect around 50MYR.

Upcoming LEGO Galaxy Squad Pictures

Finally there are picture of actual model of the upcoming playset from the Galaxy Squad play theme. After seeing them, I can only said they are awesome though the Titan are not exactly what I've expected.

From German toy fair From German toy fair

I see some new minifig, like the new insect, nothing much known about the bug vehicle but the titan have a removable space ship install on it and the cockpit are are spacious. I do see some old design come back which is good, but I think they are still lacking of the playability.

LEGO Galaxy Squad Playset Pictures

Finally a person bought a set from the new Galaxy Squad theme and at the back of the instruction book, the playset for this theme finally revealed. Below is a picture taken from Cupishalfempty's photostream:

Not all seems nice, but the two bugs machine really resemble the bugs themselves. The two set, #70704 and #70705 really caught my attention. Looks pretty cool at the moment as the human faction machines able to change mode while the the bug faction have the new pod. Interesting theme.

Should have left one more set that are not reveal yet.

LEGO Galaxy Squad

Galaxy Squad the new space theme next year finally revealed two of the sets. Well, I suppose the pictures are taken somewhere in the United States, since there is a part counts printed on the box. Anyway, I found this two pictures from a Korean community, BrickInside:

I like they way the design the vehicle and we have new trans-neon parts. Looking at the two pictures, the vehicles seems pretty cool. There seems to be a new minifigs too, which I suspect is robot or cyborg but one strange thing, if the human are in orange and white, why is there a blue cyborg there. Looking forward to look at all the playset though.

Finally, we got to see the review of Alien Conquest largest set,  #7066 Earth Defense HQ. Eurobricks member, Final Exit has put up a review for this set. Below is the picture taken from the review:

I think this set is nice too, seems to habe quite a number of playability and nice minifigs. I do hate it when I first saw it, but I think I'm wrong after all.

LEGO Alien Conquest #7049 Alien Striker Review

Another review of Alien Conquest is up in Eurobricks, but this time is a smaller set than the one before. Below is a picture taken from the review:

Minifigs collector would probably get a set of this in order to get the cool new minifigs. Furthermore this set gives you one of the new gun which look cool too.

LEGO Space Microsite

The fun thing with the new space microsite is that there is this astronaut flying around from left to right or right to left. There are also some fact given on the site and a video which are somehow related to this space theme but is not LEGO.

Above picture shows how is the site looks like. There are a small NASA logo on top too.
