LEGO Minifigure Year by Year A Visual History

Here's some new book that are coming our way, and the good thing about this book is that it does comes with three minifigs which one of them happen to be a Storm Trooper. Below are pictures taken from HKLUG:

I do not have a single idea on how the inside would look like but maybe it is not as detail as the character encyclopedia where you get to see the minifigs in a hi-res. Maybe try searching the book online and we will get to see the content, a peek maybe.

LEGO Ninjago Character Encyclopedia

This is one of the book that I am looking forward for the release other than the Batman, which I have not own it yet. The book comes with an exclusive Lloyd ZX minifigs and it don't look good quality to me. Image below is taken from Brickset:

DK Ninjago Character Encylopedia

If you would like to read little review about the book, you can head on to HERE. This minifig only appear in the book and not the 2013 playset.

Cannot wait for it to be  release here. Definitely have to get a copy. HERE's some thoughts about the book. I can see many fans will be getting the book here.

New LEGO Minifigs Pack

I must have missed some news on LEGO while I'm busy with my work. Here's a new minifig packs that comes with a few buildable parts and minifigs.

This is something new and there are repeated minifigs from the past minifigs series. I myself prefer the rock band which looks awesome. The new zombie outfit looks great too.

LEGO Super Heroes Magnet

Here's the DC magnet set. Batman, Robin and Joker which is quite a popular minifigs among the fans.

Let's not just think of the cons of the magnet set, look from the bright side is that if all you need is for display, just grab them and put a piece of large metal board on the wall. All you need is to stick them on it and move them to your liking when new additions of minifigs are available.

New LEGO Star Wars Magnets

Is cool to see some rare character appearing on magnet set but the bad news here is that they are glued to the magnet base, otherwise it is sure one hell of a way to cut your cost in collecting Star Wars minifigs.

It would be just great if these minifigs are not glued. But hey, if you do not mind, you can unglued them and bought a pair of new leg to replace them.

LEGO Toy Story Alarm Clock

Spotted this old news about LEGO Toy Story alarm clocks from FBTB this morning. The news has been up in their blog for three days and I think the alarm clock looks great. Below are the pictures:

Just look at them, although they are LEGO-like but they sure still looks good. Maybe Toy Story fans can get them for their own use or for their child which also happen to be a Toy Story fans. Guess the function is not much different from Star Wars Alarm Clock, just the design are different.

LEGO Pharaoh's Quest Minifigure Pack #853176

Through whung's Brickshelf folder I found some minifigure pack for this theme which include two mummies and one flying mummy. Not sure if that will be the minifigure pack for the theme or not, but the code is  #853176. Anyway, here's the picture:

#853176

About other accessories, they are the magnet set and the keychains. Below are the pictures:

 #853165

#853168

I'm pretty much interested with the minifigures pack if the quality is not lousy.

No More Cheap Minifigs for All

got some news for us, which is regarding the future of the magnets set where everyone buy them to get their favorite minifigs at a cheap price. According to that blog, the Pharaoh's Quest magnet set that was bought turn out that the minifigs were glued to the magnet bases and also the torso and leg were glued together.

So not only licensed theme magnet sets might be like this in the future (which eventually the plan to glued the minifigs started from licensed theme), but LEGO own theme also will be alike. However, please note that this is not yet confirmed like what the writer of the blog said.

To read the feedback from LEGO customer service, please visit HERE.

I would not say all are bad, as there are some pros whereby we no longer need to worry about being cheated by unethical seller that sell magnet minifigs at the price of playset minifigs.

LEGO Star Wars #853037 Anakin, Ahsoka and Senate Commando Magnet

They title above speaks it all. Guess this is the new magnet set release not long ago although during the launch of Clone Wars sets, many are sick with Anakin and Ahsoka minifigs. With the new Senate Commando added into this set, I guess it will probably sells well and bring down the price of the minifigs.

For those Star Wars minifigures collector you can probably get a set of this for the Senate Commando. If I'm not mistaken there is demand for Ahsoka again.

Item is already released at LEGO Shop@Home, and click HERE to link you there.

New LEGO Lamp

With the release of new LEGO Lamp, the fans have more choices to choose from when they buy the lamp. LEGO now release the lamp in three different design according to their popular theme City. Minifigures from City theme were use as the design of them lamp, which is the police, fireman and construction man. I guess this three are the most popular one.

#8506742 LEGO City Key Light

#8506759 LEGO City Head Lamp

#8506773 LEGO City Dynamo Torch
#8507121 LEGO City Torch

Others that are in the shape of bricks are #8506797 LEGO 2x2 Brick Flasher, #8507015 2x4 LEGO Brick Key Light and #8507220 Transparent Brick Light.

LEGO Magnet #852948

If you want to add more female figure to your City you build, this is the magnet set that you are looking for. Below is the picture taken from Brickset:

I think you can only use the parts and jumble them up to create your own figure since this magnet do not come from any specific theme but instead a combine of theme.

2010 LEGO Star Wars Magnets

Here's the official picture of the magnet set that is posted in the previous post.

The magnet set include very rare minifig, especially the one with Palpatine but about the quality, it should not be as good as the one you got from the set. In other words, different quality but it might be good for collector that are not fussy about it.

We do get golden bricks for the 50th Anniversary of LEGO from the loose bricks set and now LEGO will be coming up with this plain golden minifig keychain.

For those collector of 50th Anniversary item, this keychain might seems to be interesting to be added into your collection since it is gold coating. It looks just great even without any printing on it.

Again, thanks to whung for the image.

Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol.3

So, here Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol.3 which include us another spaceman. If I can recall we have spaceman in all three Vintage Minifigure Collection.

Looking at this set, people mostly will get it for the Black Falcon minifigure. Also I can see that the imperial army headgear is a new headgear, just that it do not have any printing on it like the present soldier we get from Pirates set and welcome back the long stop production western minifig.

Castle Brick Master or Pirates Brick Master?

LEGO now is giving more choice to the subscriber of Brick Master magazine. Now there are Pirates and Castle to choose from, each of them have 2 minifigs and 130 pieces of bricks. They will be available on August. Below are the image extracted from Flickr:

LEGO is really smart, some hardcore fans will probably subscribe both the Brick Master magazine. But after seeing the picture, I would probably go for Pirates Brick Master, as it at least have something to see rather than a boring gurad booth again.
