Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

My Answer:
This is really a hard question to answer I have so many author's I would love to talk with, Just three wow, okay here it goes.


Sherrilyn Kenyon- I could probably talk her ear off regarding her Dark Hunter Series.


Charlaine Harris- Because I am currently obsessed with the Sookie series.

Larissa Ione- Because I just love her Demonica series and would love to know if there is any more books in the future as well as talk about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Q. What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.)

A. ::weird look:: Um...I didn't know anything about a zombie apocalypse? I never get invitations to these "damn" things! :) If it's the end of the world, I'm just gonna be there ready for whatever my fate is. I don't want to live in a world without books, my dogs, my husband or my son. Maybe even in that order. ::eyebrow waggle:: As for the return of Mel Gibson, and I assume we're talking about the movie "The Beaver," I hear he's actually very good in it and that people should not refrain from going to see it because of Mel or they will lose out on a great movie. ::shrug:: It's not an important issue in my life. I could really care less. I do think that Mel has some issues, but hey, so do I! I'm not gonna throw stones at glass houses. I will say that I hope Mel's demons leave him and he can find some happiness in his life.

Well, May was an unusal month for us here at BLH. There were so many tours and give-a-ways and what not, that we did not keep up with memes and day to day goings on. Which begs the question, should we be a commercial blog or a personal blog? I think we are trying to be the best of both. Anyway, neither Donna nor I have posted much on the personal side, which would be closest to my heart, but, since I've been thinking about it almost incessantly, I think the Topic Thursday from yesterday would be my favorite. I'm not going to repost it here because it was from YESTERDAY so easy to get to.

I hope everyone has a good Friday! Boy, it's a major TGIF here for me! I'm gonna start hopping around and saying hello to everyone. I haven't visited blogs in a very long time. Shame on me! Hopefully I can make up for it with my visits today.

Q. It's circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them...

Five quirky habits well lets see:


1. I normally have to have it all quiet in order for me to read and I usually do my reading at night to accomplish that but lately I have found since starting my blog is that I am able to read with music- so I place on my headphones and drown out the world other than my music and read.


2. I worry all the time, about the least little thing it doesn't matter.


3. I love to read Fanfiction.


4. When I start a series I have to get the whole series no matter if I know if I am going to like it before I can start reading it.


5. I am hopelessly addicted to those Facebook Games, though I can stop playing them for awhile when I do go back I have to play them everyday.

My Answer: I will say Any book from the Dark Hunters series- New Orleans with maybe an occasional visit to Olympus.

This Week's Question is: Inspired by the inane Twitter trend of "#100 Facts About Me," give us 5 BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.

I'll try hard here for the "silly" thing.

1. I love munching sweets while I read; Good & Plenty being my crack of choice IF I let myself which is rarely because I can't stop!

2. I MUST use a book mark. I never dog ear my books or crack spines or anything like that. My books stay in almost pristine condition.

3. I um ::looking around:: will take my books with me into the bathroom. ::blushing:: I have to use every spare moment to read right???

4. If a book is really good for me, I'll stop and read slowly and savor every word, sentence and paragraph.

5. While I appreciate the eye candy on romance novels, I really wish that there were no pictures on covers. Just the title or something. That way I could whip out a book in my doctor's office and not feel embarrassed by the half naked man on the cover and I won't have any preconceived notions of the characters by what is on the cover.

Oh what a lovely question to contemplate. BDB, Dark Hunter, The League, Sookie...there are so many delectable choices! I think though that I would like to slip myself into the body and world of Cat from the Night Huntress series. To spend some time with Bones would be just a sensory overload for me. He's uber hot is he not? Yeah, I think that's where I'd want to go. The why? Um...Bones. Hello? Need I say more?

Question of the Week: Where is you favorite place to buy or swap books?

I have always loved Amazon. I love reading the reviews, I love the never-ending selection, I love the set up, I love how easy it is to purchase and I love how fast my shipments arrive. BUT, because I just bought my nifty new Nook, I am switching my loyalty over to Barnes and Noble. For me, this should be a great thing because I have a local brick and mortar store as well. To have BOTH worlds at my fingertips? Lovely I tell you. Lovely.

I was trying to find something that fit I had originally thought about Book Lover's Cafe and quickly changed it just wasn't right then I thought how I like to hide away in my room, cozy up with a good book in my bed and wha la there you go that's how Booklover's Hideaway was born- quite boring story isn't it :)

This Week's Question is: Who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?

Okay, I think all probably would want to know who Donna is rather than me, but lucky for you, you get stuck with me. :)

*I* am a 52 year young blonde suthern belle...that means I am from suthern California where right at this moment, I'm watching news coverage on tsunamis that are hitting our coastline after the horrible earthquake in Japan. It's been interesting. I was born and raised here which makes me a rarity in this area. I have been happily married for 31 years. I am an avid animal person. Right now, I only have 2 dogs, a Boxer and a Bulldog that I've already posted about. I have a 24 year old sponge, er, son who is trying to get his career legs under him. I'm a simple gal. I love reading, music, television, movies, scrapbooking, photography, gardening and eating. Mostly though, I'm about the simple things in life. I don't get impressed by fancy cars or flashy money stuff. Which is good, since yanno, I don't have any. :)

I am actually suffering through this awful scenario right now. I would buy all "The Hollow" series books and all of Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series books. I think that would eat up that $80 real fast. What a fun daydream that is!

Question of the Week: How many erotic books do you buy in a month?

Well, to be honest, I don't think I've ever bought an erotic book. Wait, I have, but it was years ago. I want to though. Can anybody recommend a really good one???

My Answer: All the family is coming over and because my son's father can't stay the whole weekend. We are opening presents Christmas Eve then on Christmas Day , we will have a big dinner and mostly my son will be off in his room playing with his new gift(we keep joking he is getting ducktape- mind you this might make him happy as he is MacGyver JR. LOL). I hope to be able to sneak away to read a bit.
