Designer Showcase - Sarah Eclavea

GOOD MORNING
Today the spotlight is on our Design Team Member
SARAH ECLAVEA
She has some super fun projects to share with you...

Family Mini Album
By Sarah Eclavea
Now that fall has made it's way into the weather, it's time to start scrapping your summer adventures.

 Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Camp-A-Lot, Dot, Fireflies, Firewood, In the Woods, Leaves, Squares, Stripe, Cutouts/ Camp-A-Lot
Stickers: Combo Sticker/ Camp-A-Lot
Chipboard: 12x12/ Camp-A-Lot
Petals: Camp-A-Lot
Jewels: Camp-A-Lot
Brads: Camp-A-Lot

Here's a few of my favorite past Bo Bunny projects:
I love the idea of scrapping our kids, ourselves, or even our parents at their current age.
It's those little things that we think we'll always remember that we need to take note of.
I'm picturing the entire table that this is set on...  aaahhhhhh!

These are all such fun layouts... I love that several different seasons and holidays are represented in Sarah's work.  Hopefully your juices are starting to flow.  Have a SUPER Wednesday and SMILE!

Limited supplies? No problem.

Today we are using the formula we've used in the past to create our projects.
I know there are some of us out there that like to cram something into every little space on our pages (me)
But you really can get great results with just a few products.
Here's the formula in case you forgot...

3 sheets of patterned paper
1 sheet of cardstock
1 sheet of stickers
1 package of embellishments of your choice

Candy Cane
Jolanda Meurs

Supply List:
Patterned paper: Mistletoe Twas the night/Pucker up/Chevron
Cardstock: Double Dot Wasabi Flourish
Stickers: Mistletoe Combo stickers
Extra embellishments: Clover Daisy Blossoms

Je T'aime
Romy Veul
Designer Tip: Something I always do when I make lay-outs, is cutting away all parts of the paper that aren't visible on the front side. For example when I matted my lay-out on the 'Flower' paper I cut out an 11x11" square from the inside. I like to use a lot of layers on my lay-outs and in this way I can do so without using a lot of paper.

Supply List:
Patterned Paper: Flowers, Keyes, Notes/ Love Letters
Double Dot Cardstock: Chiffron Flourish
Stickers: Love Letters Combo Sticker, Love Letters Dimensional Stickers

Christmas
Robbie Herring

On Robbie's recipe, she substituted ribbon for cardstock.
That's what recipe's are all about.. and or subtract a little and make it your own.
 Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper Mistletoe Dots (2) and Mistletoe Stripe
Stickers: Mistletoe Combo
Chipboard: Mistletoe 12x12

 Happy Birthday
Agnieszka Piskorz
 Supplies Used:
Paper: Firewood, Starry night, Falling stars/ Camp a lot
Cardstock: Frost dot
Stickers: Combo Stickers On the Go
Chipboard: Whoo ligans

Designer Showcase - Robbie Herring

Hi everyone! I'm Robbie Herring. I have been designing with Bo Bunny for around 2 years now and I'm lovin' it! For those of you who don't know me yet, I'll give you a bit of an over-view.

I've been married to my wonderful husband for 25 years. We just celebrated our silver anniversary last week! I'm so lucky that he is supportive of this fun hobby that I came to love. We have been blessed with 2 children. Our daughter is 24 and our son is 22. We couldn't be any prouder of them! Our daughter is out of college and living about 3 hours from us and our son is a senior at Texas A&M. Whoop!

As those of you with older children know, it is harder to get recent pictures of your kids when they aren't living at home. Thank goodness for Facebook! Without it, I would probably only have Christmas and other holiday pictures. The layout that I am sharing today is a lift off of my daughter's facebook. Even though she has a camera, she usually just uses her phone to take pictures. Some of them won't make it to the page, but some of them end up looking really great and way more fun than the perfect pictures I'm always trying to get.
I used the gorgeous new Serenade Collection to make this one. I chose to really play up the yellows in the collection to go with her photo. Between her yellow top and the extra saturated picture, it was a perfect match!
When I'm putting together a page, I like to add lots of little details. Because I tend to be drawn to EVERYTHING when it comes to embellishments, I always try to ask myself if I see the pictures. It is important to me to have my photos take center stage.

This close-up shows some of the details that I love to do for my pages. Stitching almost always shows up on my pages and I love clustering and shaped papers and stickers. Keeping it to the edges of my phot with just a bit of overlapping helps to keep all this from overwhelming my photo.
More clustering and a touch of fussy cutting make a showing on the bottom of the page. I couldn't help but make leaves out of the patterned paper. Of course, if you are familiar with my work, you will now that a ribbon or bow almost always ends up being added. If you haven't tried the Double Dot ribbon, you need to! I LOVE how it has the dots on both sides to make tying bows and knots a snap!

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper:  Serenade Dot, Serenade Garden, Serenade Pendant, Serenade Sunrise, Serendade Trellis
Double Dot 6x6 Paper Pads: Bold and Bright
Stickers: Serenade Combo
Chipboard: Serenade 12x12 and Serenade Layered
Buttons: Serenade
Brads: Serenade
Trinkets: Serenade
Petals Serenade

Recently, I was looking through my computer at all the Bo Bunny projects and pages that I have done over the last 2 years. It's funny, but I don't always go back and look at my pages from the past. Taking a stroll through my Bo Bunny files was almost like looking through my scrapbooks. It gave me the idea to share a few of my favorites here.

First, I wanted to share the first page that I did for Bo Bunny. It's appropriate to this time of year that it's a first day of school page. This is my son on his first day of 1st Grade. Where did the time go? The collection is Learning Curve. I'm still hoarding some of this!
Quick Tip: I used a real wooden ruler on this page. I cut down the ruler to make it fit better. I used Tim Holtz sissors to do it. Be sure that your ruler doesn't have a metal strip to get this look.

Next up, is a Halloween Altered project that I made using the Whooligans Collection. What an adorable collection! I still have this and pull it out during Halloween. Would you believe that the candy still looks great? Wouldn't want to eat it though!
This is a little place setting that I came up with for the Kid's Table at Christmas. It is one of my favorite projects because I had such a great time making it!
Summer is such a fun time for having fun and spending time of the water. I chose this one because I love the picture so much! My daughter made such great friends in college and I think the picture really gives the feeling of a perfect summer day. It was made with the Barefoot and Bliss Collection.
Finally, a more recent collection. This is the Little Miss Collection and I can't get enough of it! Add a wonderful picture of a baby's first day at home and it's perfection. As I mentioned earlier, my kids are grown, so it's especially great to have friends and relatives that share their pictures.
Hopefully, I haven't gone on tooooo long!

Working with Bo Bunny for the last 2 years has been such a fantastic experience! I like to say that I don't have a style and haven't met an embellishment that I don't love. Bo Bunny fits me perfectly! They do it all and do it so very beautifully!

Get to know .... Mireille Divjak

Hello everybody.  It’s september and yet we have another episode of “meet the team”.   I am the last of the dutchies… and the last of the team that gets to introduce herself.
I have been away all summer so I wasn’t able to participate last Month.

My name is Mireille Divjak and I live with my family in the absolute north of Holland. From my bedroom window I can see the sea. That isn’t too hard because we have the sea here in the North, East and West.  I was born in the absolute south of Holland close to the Belgium and German border. When I was 18 I made a big change and moved from one side to the other side of Holland. Also I think the south is beautiful I totally lost my heart to the sea. The sad part is that the weather in the Netherlands isn’t so spectacular and it gives a “summer beach vacation” a whole different meaning.

Thank goodness my best friend in the world was born in Istria. He is originally from Pula which has sea on three sides too. East, South and West. The climate is much “better” over there. Way more sun so I am happy we are able to spend our vacations there with friends and family.

- This photo was taken last week on a mountaintop in the German Alps, Oberammergau-

Together we have 2 children. My best creations.

Amber is the oldest.

She is 6 and started second grade last Monday. She loves swimming, fishing, nature, reading, playing computergames and animals. She is full of life, full of ideas, very impulsive but also very introvert. She is so like her daddy.- this photo was taken last week in a garden in Germany-

Noah is the youngest.

He is 4 and goes to kindergarten. He is a typical boy. Loves wild games.. racing with bicycle.. running around with his best friend. They share a huge love for Thomas the Tank Engine together. Noah is way more extrovert but also very organized. He loves everything in the right place neatly catagorised and will have a fit if it’s not the way it’s “supposed to be”. I have to grin a lot when this happens because I recognize it and I know how it feels.- This picture was taken last week during a boattrip at the Adriatic Sea-

Our family is spread all over the country and all over the world. My brother and parents live in the south of Holland.. but we also have family in Germany, France, Croatia, Serbia, Australia and Canada. When I was pregnant with Amber I was so sad because they weren’t close to me. I decided to start blogging so everybody could read every day what I was up to.. how it was going with the pregnancy etc etc. I started photographing more and more..
I switched systems twice but since 2007 I have thisblog.
It’s still mostly about our family life.. and I mix it with “scrapstuff”. I decided to use labels so it would be much easier for “scrapfollower’s” or family to read what they want to read.

Health has been a big issue in our lives. SaÅ¡a suffers from heartdisease and basically every day he is still here is a huge gift for us. I myself am still recovering from cancer. It’s changed the way we live our lives massively. It makes a lot of “stuff” not so important anymore…and it makes the little things very, very important.
It makes my blog important. At the end of the year I use this super program to turn it into a book. Our kids are still so little and I am very worried we will be incomplete before they will be able to remember complete.
If that happens.. they will have books. It’s kinda sad.. but better than nothing.

And of course.. there is Scrapbooking. A hobby that grew way out of hand and I love every minute of it. It gives me happiness and joy in sad moments. It distracts my worried mind. It makes me happy. I don’t have my own “space”. I am a livingroom scrapper. Thank goodness I have my own table now. I used to sit at the dinnertable and the whole family would eat on the couch with a plate on their knees. It got messier and messier and now I have my own table on wheels. When I “work” I can roll it in the middle of the room.. watch the kids.. in the evening watch tv. When I am done, I can roll it back so it’s out of the way. It’s a bit messy.. but not half as messy as it used to be.

I have been on the Bo Bunny team for a  little over a year now.. enjoying every minute of it. Needless to say I am deeply in love with the products, but, everybody is also so sweet and supportive. It feels totally amazing.

I would like to end with an anecdote:
I applied for Bo Bunny ‘s DT call last year before I went on vacation in Istria. To be honest it wasn’t the first time I tried out and I was hoping of course but also close to sure I wouldn’t make the cut.. so after a few days abroad I forgot. Untill I got this phonecall from my mom. She asked me what was going on with my blog.
I had no clue what she was talking about since I don’t have internet over there I drop by an internet café every now and again… and for a second I thought my blog might have been hacked or something nasty like that.
So I asked her what she meant.. and she told me.. I don’t understand dear. Did you get the kids a pet? They are all talking about a rabbit.

Now… enough talking. On with some examples.
Unfortunately I received my box just before I went on vacation and I didn’t have much time to play with it yet. I made examples for an article in a dutch magazine and when I got home saturdaynight/ Sunday morning.. after unpacking.. piles of laundry etc  etc.
I played some more but unfortunately I don’t have as much new stuff to share with you yet.

But I will start with a Vicky B. spread I didn’t share yet.
