Owl Things Considered
This little orange owl purse is just adorable. I know there are some beautiful brown ones available that look a bit similar, but have slightly different faces. But this one has something quirky about it that I find really cute!
And it seems perfect for those summer days when you just stroll around all day and get some ice cream.
You can get this Owl I Need shoulder bag at ModCloth.
P.S. Is it just me or does it kind of look like he has spectacles and a moustache?

News from And the Giraffe
As you're probably aware of by now, I love And the Giraffe's music! Their ambient dream-folk won me over the very first time I listened to it and it's been one of my favorite playlists in my iTunes ever since.
They have two CDs out and have even made really pretty videos for one song on each CD. The one above was released only recently. And just in case you missed their first video(from last year), I'm posting that as well.

If you like their music don't forget to check out their bandcamp, where you can buy their CDs or even a t-shirt, or get their album in a digital form and name your own price for it. I promise you won't regret giving them a listen!

Lovely Movies: Frances Ha
Frances Ha is a black and white jewel of a movie. It is so quirky and realistic! Since I had won two tickets, I seriously considered going twice myself, as I knew I would love it. I took my mom though, but I might still have to go again.
Greta Gerwig does a phenomenal job. It didn't even feel like watching actors at work, all characters could be real people. They had inside jokes, made mistakes, acted quirky and got drunk in not so sexy ways.
It's mostly a feel-good movie, but it also shows the sadder parts of life, like that feeling of being absolutely stuck while everyone else seems to be moving on and getting somewhere. So it did make me a bit blue, but mostly really happy.
One scene in particular -the little tid-bit in Paris at the theater- made me laugh for at least 10 minutes because it was so recognizable. Needless to say, I highly recommend you go see it.

Owl Things Considered
At first glance these owls may just look like figurines, but they're actually egg cups. Somehow they have a bit of an Easter-feel to them -perhaps due to the yellow and the pink-, but these could definitely be used all year round.
You can get yourself a pair in your favorite color on Ebay.

Review: Bagable
When Bagable offered to send me my favorite bag from their website, I had quite a hard time choosing. They have so many purses, messenger bags and backpacks to choose from. And from so many brands as well!
But when I saw the Nica Ashley shoulder bag, I just fell in love. With its embroidery, zigzag edging, funky lining and beautiful rose, it had me mesmerized. And out of seven pretty colors I chose a beautiful tan shade.
When it arrived and I tried it out, I found that it's not only pretty, but incredibly practical as well. Let me show you!
When you pull the handles away from each other, you'll find two open compartments on either side, which is really handy for the things you want to grab easily whenever you need them. Like sunglasses, an umbrella or a notepad.
And the main zipper opens up to the biggest part of the bag, which has another little zipped pocket, as well as a place to slide your phone in. And finally, you can store things behind a magnetic flap in the front as well!
This really is a bag full of options. Not just because it has a lot of handy compartments, but also because you can carry it both in your hand or on your shoulder. It is easily accessible but safe from pickpockets, too.
Final Verdict:
Working with Bagable has been wonderful! My choice of bag got shipped out quickly and the quality and user friendliness both exceeded my expectations. This is a bag I'll be flaunting as often as I can.

If you're looking for a new purse, backpack or luggage for your vacation, be sure to visit Bagable. They have some great items even below 20 pounds! There are some more upscale bags that cost more, but overall it is a very affordable website with good service and a lot of things to choose from.
P.S. Bagable provided the bag, but I was not paid to write this review. These are all my honest opinions.

Happy Birthday, Frida!
Today would have been Frida Kahlo's birthday, had she still been alive. Despite the fact that she's been gone for nearly 60 years, she is still an inspiration for lots of people today. So I thought I'd post a little video tribute I found.
Also if you haven't seen the movie about her life yet, I highly recommend it!

Lovely Movies: Wadjda
This is a wonderful film about a sweet and determined little girl. Wadjda has one simple wish:to ride a bike, just like the boys do. But in Saudi Arabia, that is not so easily arranged...
Despite the fact that it shows some things of the Saudi Arabian culture that will probably come across as very rigid or perhaps crazy even, this film manages to stay positive and have you leaving the cinema with a smile on your face.
Don't watch till after 1:30!
It shows that, although the world may be filled with cultures that have lots of differences, most of us just want the same things. To be free and loved.
Wadjda is actually the first movie ever shot in Saudi Arabia. And from the first female director of the country as well.

Wishlist
Whenever I go grocery shopping I always make sure to bring my own reusable bag to help save plastic. I have a couple: some basic ones, some with a cute print. But nothing quite as adorable as this Japanese mouse.
It is beautiful when zipped up, but also unfolds into a really cute green tote with a lovely print. And even then you can still see the mouse, because it sticks to the side of the bag. Which also means you will never lose the pouch.
It is a bit pricey, but I imagine it would last a very long time too. Anyway, you can get one at Japanistic.

Owl Things Considered
I am well aware that the colors of this skirt are a bit tricky and might not suit everyone. But I think it would also look amazing if paired with the proper shirt, shoes and accessories. And it does have that summer-feel, doesn't it?
Anyway, this delicate skirt is available at ModCloth. Do you think you'd wear it? I know I would!

Plans & Goals: July
As tempting as it is to get really excited about July, I'm trying to stay realistic. Both summer and my apartment have proven not to deliver when I expect it, so I'm a bit on guard. Either way, this month I'd like to:
- Buy my cat one of those fun cat towers.
- Have my kitchen and bathroom working.
Feel like I'm on vacation despite the fact that I'm staying right here.- Do some sort of book blogpost again.
Learn new skills or licks on my guitar.- Visit a farmer's market-type-thing.
Do another new and exciting review.Visit the art school exhibit I try to attend each year.- And make my new house look like a home.
What are your plans? Are you taking a trip somewhere or staying home, like me?
