Yesssss :D!

Had a good weekend, creatively speaking ;o) and I made three cards. No Easter cards though, I either don't like my new Magnolia Easter stamps (hahahaha, like that could ever happen!) or I have Easter-block. Maybe I need to start on the great big chocolate Easter egg that's been sitting on my counter top for four days now, still intact (it's a miracle I tells ya!)...

But enough about bunnies, eggs and what not, here are my three cards, made with the lovely, scrumptious and absolutely delicious S.E.I. "Juliette" papers. Can you tell I likey? ;o)

This card is for the new challenge over on Double Dutch, which is a sketch :D

List of Ingredients:
StampAvie stamp, Papertrey Ink sentiment, S.E.I. papers, QuicKutz flower die, Zva Creative adhesive pearls
Hänglar & Stänglar stamp, Papertrey Ink sentiment, S.E.I. papers, QuicKutz flower die, Zva Creative adhesive pearls

Sassy Cheryl's digi stamp, Hero Arts sentiment, S.E.I. papers, QuicKutz flower and ladybug dies, Zva Creative adhesive pearls, Martha Stewart border punch

That's all from me this week, thank you for stopping by and have a great week!

Hugs,
Erica

Da di dum dum dum

That title doesn't mean anything, I just didn't know what to call this post ;o) Although I suppose it could be a happy tune, as Minou had to go to the vet's today to have a tooth extracted (on her birthday as well!) and she seems to have come through the anaesthetic alright, though she still has a wobbly walk and glares at me every now and then ;o) Her appetite is back and she appears to be pain-free, though that may be a different story tomorrow, as I expect she's still high on painkillers...

Anyway, on to my cards and project :D. The cards are for my mum and stepdad and my sister and brother-in-law, who are both celebrating their wedding anniversaries this weekend (one couple on the 30th, the other on the 31st). The layouts are from an old Whiff of Joy challenge (still one of my favourite sketches) and from the Friday Sketchers challenge blog.

The box is for the new Double Dutch Challenge, which is Back In Time, meaning you can take your pick from the previous 24 challenges and recreate your favourite one :D. I chose the triangle box, easy to make and such fun to give! I'm going to put a bib in this one, it's for my colleague who had a baby girl a couple of weeks ago.

Materials used:
StampAvie stamp, Papertrey Ink text stamp, BoBunny "Flutter Butter" papers, pearls, EK Success Retro Flower punches, McGill leaf punch

Hänglar & Stänglar stamp, Papertrey Ink sentiment, BoBunny "Flutter Butter" papers, pearls, Nestabilities label, EK Success Retro Flower punches, McGill leaf punch

QuicKutz limited edition bear die (how cute!) and rub-on text, Nestabilities ovals, Cloud 9 papers, pearls, ribbon

That's all she wrote folks, I'm going to keep Minou company wherever she decides to plonk herself down, and lay humbly at her feet until she forgives me for taking her to the vet ;o)

Erica

And Round Again ;o)

Hihihi, another round card! Had to make this in a hurry at the weekend, because the colleague I'm filling in for during her maternity leave had her baby last Friday, a month early! The little one is in an incubator until she can regulate her own temperature and has gained some weight, but everything is okay and of course her parents are over the moon, so that calls for a nice card :D

The other card is for the new Double Dutch challenge, which is a colour theme: pink, brown and cream.

Materials used:
Stamping Bella stamp, Cloud 9 paper, QuicKutz rub-on text and heart die, Doodlebug button, Joy! Crafts pearls, ribbon

StampAvie stamp, Pebbles Inc. paper and Candy Dots, QuicKutz rub-on text, EK Success Retro Flower punches, spacers, brads

Have a lovely week everyone, thanks for stopping by and for your much appreciated comments!

Hugs,
Erica

My First Card...

coloured in with Distress Ink :D! I loved colouring with the inks, and am fairly satisfied with the result, but I need lots more practice ;o) Another loooong weekend coming up, so you know what I'll be doing! Not sure who this paper is by, as I got it from my swap buddy Sandra, but isn't it gorgeous! She also sent me those little roses, which I thought perfectly dreadful before...but now I lovey them :D.

This is also my last card for 2008, as I have to work tomorrow...I've made approx. 100 cards and 20 projects this year, which is not many for me, but I've luckily also been employed for most of this year, which accounts for the low number :D! All in all, a good year creatively speaking ;o)

I received this fabulous reward from Maria and Sandra: thanks girls! Now I have to name five things I'm addicted to. Hmmm, let me think...

1. Crafting! Card-making mostly, but I also love to make little projects :D
2. Chocolate...can't live without it!
3. Blogging: there's a world of inspiration and lovely, kind people out there ;o)
4. My cats ;o) Really they are number one on my list, but they're so big-headed already...sshhh
5. Shopping...for crafty stuff mostly, but I also love to buy and read books!

Don't think there's much point passing this on to anyone else, as everyone seems to have it already! Late again, as usual...

I want to wish you all the very best for 2009, with lots of happiness, good health, oodles of creativity and tons of love :D! Thank you for all your lovely comments and visits to my blog this past year, you're all amazing!

A Productive Week!

And my vacation isn't even over yet! I've made four cards so far, and am working on the fifth. But tomorrow I'm going to visit my family in Rotterdam and staying there until Boxing Day, so I won't be able to "get crafty" again until the weekend ;o).

Like a headless chicken...

Now that's a nice post title isn't it ;o), you must think I've gone a bit mad! Well, truth be told, I have.... I was off sick with a tummy bug on Tuesday (this started on Friday, so a nice weekend (NOT) and I don't work Mondays so was only off work for one day thank goodness) and have been running around like the proverbial chicken trying to play catch up! TGI(N)F, that's all I can say ;o)

Anyway, did manage to make some cards the other day, otherwise I would have gone completely barmy by now I think, with my new CC Designs stamps, ain't she cute:

And this one with a layout from (I think) a challenge blog and one of those lovely, nostalgic Sarah Kay images. Cheers a girl right up, that does :D! I'll add a text later, don't know what I want it to say yet (is this a drawback to having too many sentiment stamps? ;o))

Materials used:
CC Designs stamps, Cloud9 paper, Prima Flowers, Stamping Bella baubles, spacers, brads

StampAvie stamp, Pebbles Inc. paper, EK Success Retro Flower punches, QuicKutz REV flourishes, brads, spacers

I'm off to lay on the couch like a couch potato (hmmm, a lot of focus on food in this post, could that be the diet talking?) and watch House :D! Talk to you later ;o)

A girl can never have too many handbags (or stamps) ;o)

Yes okay, I can hear you, you're all saying: "Again with this stamp Erica???" Yep, I love this stamp, and the other Elisabeth Bell stamps too, and just keep picking them up time and time again :D. Am making a huuuuuge project with these stamps at the mo', hope to be able to show you in a week or so (I'm a poet and I don't know it ;o))

I made this bag from a similar one I got from a friend some time ago, and I lovey it! It's so simple to make, and such a great way to give someone a present :D! Who needs boring old wrapping paper when you've got a gorgeous handbag right ;o). Please click on the image to enlarge.

And finally, an anniversary card for my mum and stepdad...it's their anniversary on Saturday, so I'm cutting it a bit close...oh well, at least it's not Friday today! I used a great sketch I found on the Spoonful of Sugar challenge blog for this card :D.

Materials used:
Sugar Nellie stamp, Papertrey Ink sentiment, K&Company paper, QuicKutz REV flourishes, EK Success Retro Flower Punches, spacers, brads

StampAvie stamp, Papertrey Ink sentiment, Pebbles Inc. paper, QuicKutz photocorner, EK Success Retro Flower Punches, pin, brads

Well, that's it from me, thank you for stopping by and all your nice comments, see you next week!

Something old, something new...

Whenever I get new stamps in the mail (and this happens quite frequently, funnily enough ;o)) I get so excited that I can't decide which one to play with first! This weekend I used another Sarah Kay stamp, and also an old Magnolia that I've never used before...something old, something new if you will ;o)

I've also started experimenting with a white background for the photos, it looks so much better! And all it took were a couple sheets of cardstock, one taped to the wall and one on the sideboard...if only I'd thought of that sooner ;o)

Meet Footballing Freddie, who spends a lot of time in the backyard with his dog Rufus, practising his football skills (or lamenting lack of said skills ;o)). You see, he's not getting the hang of it yet, and his ball keeps ending up on the neighbours' roof (luckily his neighbour is a good sport about it) or in his mum's flowers (she was less of a good sport ;o)), and the other day it even ended up in the garbage truck, which happened to be passing at the time! If it was up to Freddie he'd have left it there, but his father has this dream you see, that Freddie will become a great footballer like David Beckham, so he keeps on practising. He really would like to study to be an accountant, but he wants to be a good sport too ;o)

Materials used:
Sarah Kay by StampAvie stamp, Stamping Bella sentiment, Stampin' Up! paper, Papertrey Ink ribbon, pins, brads, Prima flowers, spacers

Magnolia stamps, KaiserCraft paper, Stamping Bella Dutch sentiment (available from Card Art), brads, staples

Well, that's all folks, thanks for stopping by and have a lovely week!

Well, you don't gotta, but I do :D! I love their paper!! These cards were made with the Blue Awning line, which I got in the post this week.
