<-NIGHT->

Well i just borrowed this book from Ting Hsin and I really like it. The name of the book is call <-NIGHT-> and the writer is called Elie Wiesel(Nobel Peace Prize Winner)...
The book talks abt the Holocaust... Very thin book but very powerful. It just so hard to understand how cruel this world can be... I would like u all to read something from the book:

'The march toward the chimneys looming in the distance under the indifferent sky. The infants thrown into fiery ditches... i did not say they were alive, but that was what i thought. But the i convinced myself: no, they were dead, otherwise i surely would lost my mind. And yet fellow inmates also saw them; they were alive when they were thrown into the flames. Historians, among them Telford Taylor, confirmed it. And yet somehow i did not lose my mind.'

I think i would also go crazy if i were to see what the writer saw... It's so hard to describe the kind of hatred & brutality that the Jews have to go through. It was scary juz to read abt it let alone see it... we live in a crazy world!
I haven finish reading the book yet, if u have the chance pls go read it, it's juz a glimpse of why we need God so much more....

[Very funny Japanese Game Show]

I guess all of us have our own sets of problem but it's how u deal wif it. Some run away some face it head on... we all have times where we rise up to the challenge or shun away...
Well it's not like i noe wat to do all the time but i was reading abt Lance Armstrong & his struggle with both cancer & winning the tour de France (like the world cup of cycling) he took everything in strides & fought like hell!!!
When he found out he got cancer he gave his best to fight it, later after he survived, the docs told him he only had 3 percent chance to live b4 he was cured... But he lived & went on to win 7 tour de France...
We all have our own fights some fights we can choose, some God have already chosen it for us... what r u gonna do abt it?
I think for very long & very hard abt this... it's so hard to be surrender esp when u r alone... God is there juz reach out ur hands, he send pple to help us.
but i dun feel like these all the time though i noe He does....

After such an awesome leaders meeting where we got wacked left, rite & centre.... better share a few tots...
I think the normal thing to feel after the meeting is inspired but at the same time i also feel burden... However, i felt rouse because i know how awesome the chruch use to be and how we have drifted... i'm convicted by how passionate John was becos he want us to change to glorify God once again....
There were a few things tat really stayed in my mind like how he said we're the flesh & blood temple of God.... Tat the silver and Gold are God's and we need not worry abt any material...
Well seems like the timing is never rite to repent... so i better do it now...

What a weekend!!! Started out on Sat went Kayaking with the campus(feel younger again) It was really fun, i haven kayak for so long... Was aching all over even now... Old liao not fit liao... But Wee Keong is definitely the MAN! He jogged from bishan to east coast then he went kayaking wif us then go spendtime with TX... After the kayaking played games with the campus like retreat like tat so fun...
After tat i went a haircut stupid barber tell him not to shave my sideburn he still shave now i look like schoolboy...
Then i went to Vivocity to shop for birthday presents for Adeline, Quek & Zhiwei... After shopping i have to rush down for Adeline's birthday party at clarke quay... It was a great party she got 3 frens and 1 of them even share 1st for her bday sharing...
Well there's only 1 down time for me tat day, tat was Chelsea lose to Liverpool 2-0 (i hate to write this down)
Well if u think tat was the end of my Sat, u r wrong cos i went & meet Verlin & Ford and some other x'tain to hangout... It was great to see them after like so long, great to always see x'tain still faithful &amp;amp;amp; doing well & happily married.... Then home & sleep....

Sunday was awesome too! went to church listen to a great service at the back of the church still prefer to sit infront... Hiaz think it'll take alot of getting use to but i hope we can like rotate our seats like maybe quaterly...
We went to St James Powerhouse for lunch, the food was good juz that they were abit understaff and they took a long time to serve us our lunch and it was abit messy but we celebrated Quek's bday nonetheless and have a great time of sharing...
After lunch we wanted to catch a movie but the timing was bad so we hungout at vivocity have a few beer & saugages at a German restaurant by the seaside... Thx Quek for the treat!!! Played 7-Up have a good laugh and....
Finally we off to celebrate Zhiwei suprise party... we had lotsa fun! Food was good though abit ex... but i always enjoy celebrating a good frens bday cos u noe u still have someone fighting in the faith with u....
Well we cant juz end off a surprise party without sabo... Zhiwei was filled but we still make him drink a 1/2 pint of beer b4 we send up on THE G-MAX!!! at clarke quay if u dunno wat it is it's a reverse bungy jump... The look on ZW's face, priceless...

but we had to draw lot to decide who to accompany ZW cos joanna was sick... & the bro sent Jo up, haha he lost.... We all had tonnes of fun though spend alot of $$$ but $$$ cant buy frenship...

Well i guess haven blog for awhile so got lotsa things to update... but today is like any other friday... where u r excited abt the fun-filled and packed weekend... The week was slow except for tuesday where i went with a few christian to watch -Forbidden Chestnut-

The rest of the week i'm always travelling up to church... Mon leaders meeting, Wed midweek, Thurs choir, today going to david lim's plc in sengkang (hopefully can hitch a ride from danny who is going to church) and of cos sunday church on monday leaders meeting again....
Spend so much time travelling until i sianz... but oso wanna thanks my travellin buddy there's always people to travel to church and home with... Jo, Joke, Linping, Martin, Joanne, Gin Kai, Karen, CK & Mike who always tompang me and a bunch of them... at least it makes it so much more fun!

Well it's good to have people involve in your life, cos at least u wont feel lonely travelling to church.... lol

Well i'm juz glad that my blog is back online... i have no idea how i lose it in the 1st place... one fine day i juz cant log in anymore, as u can see from the previous post it was quite long ago... anyway haven blog for awhile so dunno how to write liao :-p
