Violets leave Florida, at last!
The violet blocks are FINALLY on their way to Shannon & Cathy. So sorry for the long wait! & I have quite a pile of envelopes that I KNOW have more violets for me. I just don't have anyplace to sit down & note from who; I will by the end of the week. In kitchen remodel news we have cabinets...but no counters.

Violets sent and Sept Curves
Sent my violets out to Marybeth today. Design walls sure look pretty with those blocks!
I also have 9 blocks for Sept. These were fast and easy to put together. I had to raid my fqs for these. I joined lotto to use up the scrap bin and have been successful thus far, just don't have batiks scraps 'yet'. I've been collecting batiks but as of yet have not put them into a quilt....gotta change that this coming year maybe...

Violets are finally mailed
Shannon, Terry & Cathy your blocks are on their way. I have procrastinated going to the post office this month, it has been so terribly busy since the flood here. Cathy, the postmaster thought your blocks might take a week and a half or two, to get to you!

On their way to Marybeth!
I hope they're close to their destination today, Marybeth. Check out the stamps on the envelope - that's my Amish-discard Belgian horse, Barney, and my Scottish Deerhound, Ellie.

First a bit of old news. Here are my clover blocks pieced and ready to back and bind. I'm going to use a scrappy green binding. I was thinking about doing a scrappy green border, but when I had it on the design wall, it seemed to detract from the clover too much. I really love this quilt. I'd never set anything on point before so it was a bit of a challenge for me. I have a few clover left over that I plan to turn into a spring wallhanging. Thank you everyone who helped make this beautiful quilt top.
And for a bit of new....here are some curved rail blocks for this month. I love batiks and have three more put aside that hopefully I will have time to sew...but for now...here are 6 blocks for me.
And also....my violets are packed and ready to go to the post office in the morning to start their trip way down south.
That's it for now....
