Dedicated Woman -Women's Whey Review and Giveaway

I really like products that are geared toward women. Whether it is to support women, empower them or products that are just plain fun. I especially like nutritional products for women because men and women's bodies are so different, therefore a different form of nutrients are needed. I had the opportunity to try a great product from Dedicated Woman. I love that name! To me it says that a woman is committed to her health and making herself a priority. I have to admit that I don't always do that- showers, clothes, makeup, vitamins always seem to go on the back burner for me.

Dedicated Woman sent me their Women's Whey Protein Supplement in Creamy Vanilla Bliss to review. The label says that it is designed for any active woman. That's me! I may not have a routine workout schedule but I am very active in wiping pea off my bathroom floor 3 times a day and traveling from playdates to running errands. I really like this product because it provides an easy whey:) to get my protein, calcium, and phosphorus in that my body needs. I also enjoy that it is so quick to use. You can mix it with water or a smoothie and be on your way!

Here is some info from their site:
"Dedicated Woman was born out of a passion to make a difference in women’s long-term health through the use of pure, balanced and quality nutrition.

All of our products are unmatched in purity, efficiency and absorbability. We do this through our commitment to unsurpassed quality in our processing and testing, our integrity and more importantly, our commitment to your health. Our standards go well beyond the typical regulatory processes. Our doctors, scientists and dietitians develop innovative formulations that provide specific nutritional support based on the latest industry research.

Today, we remain one of the few companies that actually manufacture the vitamins we distribute, and the only one in its class for uncompromising quality. You can feel safe in trusting our products because we exceed current quality standards for nutritional products."

If you want to feel more healthy than you can enter to win your own container of Women's Whey! To enter please visit the site and tell me a product that you would like to try.

Nature's Baby Organics Review

I try to only use natural skincare products on my boys. My oldest suffered from ezcema when he was a baby and none of the over the counter stuff helped. I was determined to use only natural things on their skin. I was so happy to hear about Nature's Baby Organics products and even more excited that now I don't have to go to some fancy health food store to buy it. Nature's Baby Organics are now being sold at Target stores!

Here is a little info from their site:
"We will not bring any new product to market until we get at least a 96% approval rate from our test group. As a family we only want the best for you and your family. That is why we even certified our own Aloe Farm to ensure its purity so we could have Aloe without pre-preserved Methylparabens and Phenoxythanol. You can expect only the finest ingredients and performance from our family to yours."

Nature's Baby Organics was kind enough to send me their Tangy Tangerine Bubble Bath to try. My boys love the smell as much as I do. I have had a really hard time finding all natural organic bubble bath for my boys. I can find plenty of other bath products but bubble bath is not as common. I really love Nature's Baby Organics and can't wait to try all the other products in their line. They have everything from Shampoo to Ah-Choo Chest Rub-I better start stocking up! For a list of Target stores to purchase these great products visit Nature's Baby Organics.

Mutsy Discount Code

Enter code bb10 to receive a 10% discount on any order from www.mutsy.com.

"Mutsy is known for not only a line with great design but great functionality as well. Parents can make Mutsy anything they want and need in the way of a mobility system for baby. You can take seat out of stroller and pop in bassinet, you can take seat or bassinet off of frame and pop in Fun Seat for toddler, take seat off of frame and put into frame called the Babysitter and voila!...you have a baby rocker."

Guess what you can use your 10% discount on? The new Mutsy Transporter (pictured above) is coming out in August and looks so cute. It reminds me of the old fashioned kind but better color choices!

Mutsy Transporter

"Lightweight, full-sized stroller is the latest exciting offering from Dutch-based baby transport company Mutsy. A tremendous value, the Transporter has a very deep and padded seat to be comfortably used by infants from 3 months through 55 lbs. The reclining seat and large, protective hood create a serene environment for napping. A footrest provides comfort for an older child, and the convenient shopping basket is standard. An optional bassinet and maxi cosi car seat adaptor are available for newborn comfort and safety. This sporty 4 wheeler is characterized by its ease of operation, a height adjustable push bar and its extremely compact volume when folded. This stroller is also extremely flexible and manoeuvrable on account of 2 front swivel wheels. All 4 wheels are removable, allowing for even greater compactness when folded. Available in four popular colors, red, charcoal, black, and sand."

Stay tuned for my upcoming review on the Mutsy Grow Up (pictured below)! I can't wait until it arrives.

Simple Green Giveaway

I love nothing more than a company who knows how to take care of it's bloggers! I am talking about Simple Green. They have a whole new natural cleaning product line out and they were so kind to send me the whole set! Simple Green Naturals are all non-toxic, biodegradable and never tested on animals. The Simple Green Natural products that I received include:

Dish Washing Liquid
Liquid Hand Soap
Multi Surface Cleaner
Bathroom Cleaner
Glass and Surface Care
Carpet Care
they also sent me a cute reusable bag and some stuffed animals for my boys.

I REALLY LOVE these products! My favorites are the hand cleaner and the carpet cleaner. I had a large old juice stain on my carpet and I used it on the stain and it disappeared right away. I am so impressed with the smell of the cleaners. They are natural and clean smelling. The hand soap has such a nice lavender aroma. I have had a great time using these cleaners everyday and will definitely be buying more when I run out. The people at Simple Green are so fab that they are offering one winner the same set of cleaners that I received. How sweet! To enter please visit their site and tell me one of the Simple Green products that you would like to try.

I'm going out of town!

So we have found some friends who are able to stand me and my crazy family for longer than 24 hours at a time and are willing to travel with us! So this Friday we are heading on a road trip to Utah to enjoy the sites. We will be gone for a week and then are heading straight to Washington to see my sister in law for another week So in case you haven't noticed I have been a little blog happy lately. I am trying to get all of my posts done before we leave so I won't have to do them on the road. If anyone needs to get a hold of me I will be checking my emails as often as I can but probably won't be able to answer very quickly. I will be sure to post pics when we are back!

Rock of Ages Cd Review

Here is a product I got for my hubby who is a music freak. It is the Rock of Ages soundtrack of the Broadway musical. I had never even heard of the musical before but I knew Cody would love it since it has all the classics on it. Here are the tracks:

Just Like Paradise / Nothin' But A Good Time

Sister Christian
We Built This City / Too Much Time On My Hands
I Wanna Rock
We're Not Gonna Take It
Heaven/More Than Words / To Be With You
Waiting For A Girl Like You
Wanted Dead Or Alive
I Want To Know What Love Is
Cum On Feel The Noize / We're Not Gonna Take It (Reprise)
Harden My Heart / Shadows Of The Night
Here I Go Again
The Final Countdown
Any Way You Want It / I Wanna Rock (Reprise)
High Enough
I Hate Myself For Loving You / Heat Of The Moment
Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Can't Fight This Feeling
Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Oh Sherrie
The Search Is Over
Don't Stop Believin

"Rock of Ages" is a five-time Tony Award Nominated recording and is
" the new Broadway musical starring American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis. Set in 1987 in a legendary Sunset Strip rock club, a small-town girl meets a big-city dreamer and they fall in love to the greatest metal songs of the 80's. The musical is an arena-rock love story told through the mind-blowing, face-melting hits of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, Whitesnake and more."

Now this music isn't really my style but I also was raised in a completely different era. Cody loves this cd and the music. To buy the cd yourself go to Amazon.com

Also I have to know which is your favorite book in the Twilight series and why? I haven't quite decided but I think the first one because that is when they fall in love.

Epic Summer with Vail Resorts

I miss Colorado soooooooooo much. I miss it's beautiful scenery not to mention all of the things to do. You can never be bored in Colorado! So if I were to go back this summer I would have to visit Vail Resort and try out their Epic Summer Family Vacation. The possibilities are endless!

You can choose between a 4 or 7 Day Package full of fun.
When thinking about summer getaways, it often seems impossible to find a destination that offers adventures and activities to thrill each member of our families. Vail Resorts has come up with an ingenious solution, drawing on the majestic national parks and forests of the West to transform their village at Keystone Mountain into a family base from which daily adventure trips take place. Set in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, the Epic Summer Family Adventure offers families an action-packed getaway with four or seven-day itineraries. Each day your family has an exciting fun-packed day ahead, from hiking up cool mountain trails, going white water rafting, zip lining, trail horseback riding, exploring National Parks, and adventure biking to attending a real cowboy campfire dinner under the stars. Best yet, all of the details have been taken care of for you, from transportation to guides to picnic lunches, adding up to the ultimate outdoor family experience.

Moreover, back at home base other options await: Dad can hit the golf course while we Moms sneak off for some wondrous spa services.
With everything from meals to outdoor trips covered, all you have to do is show up with sneakers, a bathing suit, and a sense of adventure! Plus, the all-inclusive pricing proves surprisingly affordable. What better way to create lifelong memories than a vacation where the only thing you have to think about is how much fun you're having.

I think this is the perfect way to spend your summer since the planning is already done for you. All you have to do is pay, pack and go! I wish I could go on one of these trips with my family. I think it would be the perfect way to bond and have an adventure that will make lasting memories. For more info on how you can have an Epic Summer with Vail Resort visit www.epicsummer.com.

Crayola Review and Giveaway

The other day I received a great package of creative tools from Crayola. My boys were so excited when the package came! They got to try out
Color Explosion--Extreme Surprises (Black)
Color Surge-Classic Tips
Giant 3D Sidewalk Chalk
Sidewalk Crayons
Their creative juices have really been flowing since then. I love the Color Explosion. The marker that comes with it can only be seen on the Color Explosion paper which means less mess for me! My boys favorites were the Giant 3D Sidewalk Chalk. They look so cute with their 3D glasses trying to walk through their drawings with everything in 3D. What I enjoyed most about these products is that they allow my boys to express themselves creatively while getting some great one on one time with mom or dad.

At Crayola they are having the Outdoor Challenge where you pledge to play everyday. What a great goal! I am making that pledge since I get too caught up with housework and running errands.

One winner will receive their own box of Crayola products that I received! To enter please visit the Crayola site and tell me what product you would like to try.

Out Of the Box Sampler Review

Out of the Box Sampler is a great site that sells boxes with samples from a variety of companies. Each month is a different box full of goodies! It was so fun when I received mine. It was full of a wide variety of items. Spices, natural candles, melting scents, cookies, bath salts and so very much more. The box smelt so good and I had so many fun items that I had to share with my sister in law.

Out of the Box Sampler
is a great way to feel like you are buying alot while not spending very much. This is also a great way to have small gifts on hand when you need a last minute present . Enfant Screening

Something that parents may overlook is monitoring our children's eyesight. I received some information about a new testing system that I thought I would share.

ENFANT™ PEDIATRIC VEP VISION TESTING SYSTEM

2009 Fact Sheet

Enfant Technology: The Enfant™ Pediatric VEP Vision Testing System is a non-invasive, child-friendly medical device that tests for visual deficits, including amblyopia, optic nerve disorders, and refractive errors, in pre-verbal children, ages six months and older. The Enfant system is the first and only pediatric vision test of its kind.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), vision disorders are the fourth most common disability among children in the United States. Although vision assessment beginning at birth has been endorsed by major pediatric and ophthalmologic medical associations, recent studies estimate that only 21% of all preschool children are screened for vision problems and only 14% receive a comprehensive vision exam.

The Enfant uses technology called Visual Evoked Potential (VEP), which evaluates the child’s response to an external stimulus along the entire visual pathway from the lens of the eye to the visual cortex of the brain. By using VEP, the Enfant is able to identify vision deficits that a physician might not otherwise detect during more conventional, subjective eye exams, such as eye charts. The Enfant system allows testing of much younger children, since it does not require a response from the patient.

The Enfant Pediatric VEP Vision Testing System:
Utilizes clinically proven, FDA-approved technology
Delivers a 97% sensitivity in detecting visual deficits where and when they exist
Provides immediate, on-site test results in simple, pass/fail format
Requires no dilation or sedation for maximum patient safety
Features child-friendly animated characters and graphics accompanied by music
Can be completed in five to seven minutes, contributing to a more than 90% test completion rate
Is currently utilized by more than 250 pediatric practices, and is easily incorporated into a child’s regular well care visit

Stimulates the vision system with a specific pattern to elicit electrical signals to the visual cortex of the brain
Uses objective, statistical analysis to assess the child’s neurological response to the stimuli, and compares the two eyes to determine if asymmetries are present
If asymmetries are present, the patient is referred to an eye care specialist for further evaluation

To find out more about this testing please visit www.enfantvision.com.

Jada and Kate Earl Albums

I wanted to share with you the new group Jada and a great artist named Kate Earl. I can't wait until I can review them!

Here is a little info about Jada who has an album debuting in the fall: "Four extraordinary singers united by a common goal, Jada is the latest iteration of the classic female vocal group. Since coming together six years ago, all four members have devoted themselves heart and soul to Jada. Their self-titled debut marks the culmination of a remarkable journey in which these talented individuals came together to create a beautifully cohesive whole. From the album-opening ballad “Is It Love” to the sassy RedOne/Akon-produced first single, “American Cowboy,” “JADA” is a bright and brazen mix of pop, soul, dance, and R&B, spiced by Jada’s characteristic gospel-inspired harmonies. The powerhouse sound is not dissimilar from the girls themselves – soulful and sophisticated, sexy and strong, heartfelt and honest, flirty and fun."
You can check Jada at Myspace.com/jada

I am really excited to hear Kate Earl's new cd which is being released September 18th. You can also follow her on Twitter www.twitter.com/kateearl and view her music at Myspace.com/kateearl

Be Present Review

If I allowed myself to wear workout clothes all day everyday I would. I adore workout clothes and how comfortable they are. When be present sent me a pair of their French Terry Resort Shorts I was in heaven. They are extremely soft. I never realized the difference between shorts from Walmart and high quality fabric. I love the fit and these are now my favorite shorts to wear.

Here is a little info about be present from their site:
"be present, a clothing line carried in yoga studios, boutiques, spas and resorts throughout the United States and the World, incorporates the yoga philosophy into the design. be present began as clothing for yogis and yoga instructors, and evolved into a company rooted in the experience of yoga, but designed for those who value versatile, simple, comfortable clothing. Yoga is a centuries old eastern philosophy with contemporary devotees, and yoga clothing needed a modern look that embraced and respected the philosophy without being commercial. Our pants are designed to weather the street as much as they are designed to hit the mat. In the years since the first be present pant was introduced, our line has set the industry standard for versatile, agile and mobile yoga pants. be present has consistently been on the forefront of creativity and originality in the yoga world. As the line evolves into a company rooted in the yogic lifestyle but accessible to anyone who values high quality, fashionable and active clothing, we will continue to be a leader in innovative designs."

I really want this French Terry Skirt. It looks perfect for the summer.

The great thing about be present clothing is that it is made for working out. Their clothing is great for doing Yoga because it gives you the support and style you want while allowing you to move freely. Your skin can breathe as well with the breathable fabrics. I highly recommend be present to anyone who needs stylish, comfortable clothing for everyday purposes or to get through your workouts.

Magical Bells Review

My boys LOVE the Polar Express. Everything Polar Express. We even listen to the soundtrack throughout the year. So when I received Santa's Classic Gift Set from Magical Bells I was so excited. It is a beautiful bell (yes I can hear it ring!) that is an exact replica of the Polar Express bell. It came in it's own velour bag and Christmas box.

I have decided to wait until Christmas and leave it under the tree for my boys. How magical will that be for them? My husband said that we should pretend that we can't hear it ring too! Magical Bells has all sorts of bell- even ones for weddings. My favorite thing about their site is that they have a free downloadable kit that has EVERYTHING you need for a Polar Express party. I am so going to have one this Christmas! Many thanks to Magical Bells for the fabulous bell.

Sweet Papier

I just had to share this site because I think it is so adorable. Sweet Papier has the cutest stationary, birth announcements, invitations, you name it! I love this Breakfast at Tiffany's invite!

Imagination Movers Cd Review

My boys are in love with the Imagination Movers. They love how they solve problems and think they are so cool with their musical instruments. So when this cd came in the mail they were super excited. The cd has all their favorites from the episodes on tv and they are so catchy! Today the only way I could motivate my boys to clean up their toys was to turn this cd on. Whenever the stopped cleaning I would turn the cd off and they would instantly start again.

"The Movers Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche, and Scott Smitty Smith formed in 2003 when a group of New Orleans friends started writing songs together and testing them out on their own kids. The bands dynamic, high-energy shows and wide-ranging pop sensibilities (with a special nod to 1980s alt rock) made them an immediate hit at the local parks and childrens museums. Not even losing homes to Hurricane Katrina (during which Smitty served as a first responder) scuttled their dreams. After signing to Disney, the Movers released their label debut Juice Box Heroes in March 2008, and are now currently working on the second season of their Playhouse Disney (Disney Channels learning-based programming block for preschoolers) show. Since its release, Juice Box Heroes has consistently ranked in the Top 10 on iTunes Childrens Music chart. National recognition includes a Parenting Magazine Parenting Pick, and Common Sense Media recently recognized the Imagination Movers among the Best TV of 2008, citing the quartets addictive sense of humor and quest for fun.

These qualities are in full display on For Those About to Hop. With a quick wink at AC/DC in the title, the Movers keep their fans on their feet throughout the generous 22-song set. Show favorite Jungle Room is a swinging, horn-drenched musical safari, while tunes like Now Were Cooking, Paint the Day Away and Playing Catch are equal parts funk, hip-hop and sing-along rock, with infectious beats and typically catchy lyrics that celebrate learning, growing and fun. Fans of the show will recognize set pieces from the Movers brainstorming adventures in the Idea Warehouse, but these songs all stand on their own as bright, finely crafted kid pop tunes.

A special release of For Those About to Hop is currently available at Target stores nationwide and includes five bonus tracks. An exclusive iTunes version of the release offers another set of five bonus songs and is available this week. All versions include downloadable lyrics and a coloring sheet, along with an interactive game featuring the TV shows popular puppet character Warehouse Mouse."

The cd can be purchased at Target.com for $9.99.

Living A Charmed Life Book Review

Thanks to FSB Media I have had the opportunity to review two great books by Victoria Moran. They are both great self help books that are written by an inspirational speaker and certified life coach. The first is " Living A Charmed Life" and is 50 essays to inspire you to live a healthier and happier life. Here is an excerpt from the book:

Wash the Dishes with All Your Heart

In a charmed life, the best thing going is what is happening now.

Even the most dazzling lives are punctuated more by commas and periods than by exclamation marks. You virtually guarantee a charmed life when you can give yourself as fully to doing the dishes, and tending to the other miscellanea that make up your day, as to some grand adventure. This is because you can count on the dishes. They'll be there alongside the grand adventures, and if no adventure is immediately forthcoming, the dishes won't let you down. Besides, feelings of enthusiasm, excitement, and positivity about anything and everything attract adventures to a life the way an open bag of trail mix attracts bears to a campsite. They just can't stay away.

About fifteen years ago, I picked up a severe case of flu while traveling and it kept me in bed for a month. I'll never forget the first night I washed dishes after I was better. It was the most delectable experience: warm water halfway up to my elbows, and slippery, shimmery suds to play in. I momentarily wondered if the high fever had addled my brain -- I mean, please: dishes? -- but if it took being addled to feel this extraordinary, I didn't want it any other way.

During the first few weeks of getting back into life, I was having these ah-hah moments during activities once inconsequential in their ordinariness. "Wow, driving a stick is really fun! . . . What did they put in this hot cider? It's amazing! . . . The sunset was so beautiful I pulled my car over to look at it." Smitten with my new way of seeing things but questioning its normality, I called one of my mentors, a woman named Gladys Lawler who was nearing ninety and always knew the answer.

She told me that everything seemed so stunning because I was in the moment. "When you're in the moment," she explained, "everything is exquisite because you're truly experiencing it." Life, I learned from Gladys that day, ought to be this way all the time, but we're so used to being removed from the present by keeping our minds one place and our bodies another that these periods of resplendence are uncommon. She also told me that I'd be back to the old, disconnected way of being before long, but that since I now knew that being truly present was possible, I could remind myself to go there again.

Her prediction was correct. As soon as my full strength returned, I was back to busy mode: scheduling, planning ahead, multi-tasking. But even now, the otherworldly beauty of that convalescent time can come back when I'm washing dishes. I have a dishwasher these days but I often use the sink just the same. It gives me the opportunity to stand in one spot and focus on one cup, one glass, or one perfectly circular rubber gasket that, in its modesty, gives me the use of my blender.

I recommend that you try some conscious dishwashing. Release all judgment ("I always get stuck with the dishes . . . ") and just be with the process. Run the water and be aware of the sound it makes rushing from tap to sink. Look at the bottle of soap before you squeeze: what's in it? Do you like how it smells? Watch the suds as they build and billow. Pick up a dish at random -- your coffee mug maybe, or the bowl your daughter used for cereal this morning -- and regard it as a gift from a grab bag. Have fun with it. Maybe it has something to tell you, something to remind you of. Be with it and with every subsequent plate and fork and measuring cup until the task is through.

Then give yourself as wholeheartedly to whatever comes next. In a charmed life, the best thing going is what is happening now, even when it's scouring a skillet.

Lucky charm: The next time you do the dishes, feel the water, caress the crockery, and be present with all that's in you.

The next book I got to review is " The Love - Powered Diet" and is all about being healthy inside and out. Incorporating the Twelve Step Program and supported by the latest nutritional research, this book shows you how to gain control of your emotions when you eat. I can't wait to finish this book. While I may not be overweight I do notice I use eating as a way to cope when I feel stressed out. Hello chocolate! Kids screaming? Bust out the tootsie rolls! This book is perfect for any one wanting to be a little healthier.

Thanks to Pure Digital Technologies, Inc. and Commstrat I got the wonderful chance to review the new Flip Ultra Camcorder. I received one in black and am so amazed at the quality. Right away we put it to the test and recorded our boys. We haven't been using our other camcorder because it's battery is always dead and it is also really big and bulky.

The Flip Ultra is so incredibly easy to use. There are only a few buttons so there isn't much to figure out. Then when we were done we simply plugged it into our computer and the software automatically downloaded! Diaper Cakewalk Review

I have always thought diaper cakes are a great present to give any new mother. They are not only cute but are a must have when you have a baby. I think it is the perfect decoration to a baby shower since it looks like a piece of art and then the mom gets her diapers! I was able to get my very first diaper cake from Diaper Cakewalk. It is SO adorable! It is for a boy ( is that a sign of what awaits me in the future?) and has the cutest toys and ribbon decorating it. I am really impressed with how strong it is. The diapers are really secure so I don't have to worry about my cake falling apart.

Diaper Cakewalk has so many really great different types of diaper cakes. My favorite is the Eco-friendly cake. An idea on the site mentions that if you are visiting a new mother in the hospital then bring a diaper cake instead of flowers. I know I would rather that! Diaper Cakewalk has even been used by several celebrities. I really like the site because they have so many great baby shower ideas including games and decorating tips. There is even do it yourself diaper cakes! If you want to make a diaper cake then click here. My favorite item on the site are some really cute scrubs for you little one! I want a set for my next baby.

I can't wait to find out what one of my very dear friends is having so that I hopefully can use my diaper cake at her baby shower. This diaper cake will make such a great addition and I know she will love it. If you are looking for a new baby gift idea then you have to visit Diaper Cakewalk!
