Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

The weather's finally cooled off around here and we have been enjoying just laying around in the yard.
Teddie thinks he is as pretty as this flower bush so he picked that spot for Ms. Charlene to take his picture! We all think Teddie is just a silly boy!
Ms. Charlene has been enjoying the weather too because she has got to go on a few trail rides lately and that always makes her happy.
We really don't see what the big deal is about those horses, but if it makes Ms. Charlene happy then we're happy.
Well don't forget to stop by our website and order a copy of our book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch". Remember, all proceeds go to support our rescue ranch!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hey everyone, It's me Mia.

Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since I've been here, but Ms. Charlene has been busy looking for work and I can't type with my big fuzzy paws!

Things are about the same. It's still really hot here at the ranch and we are all trying to take it easy and stay cool.
Teddie and Mickey take it easy everyday so I guess it's not really anything new for them. Ms. Charlene has been looking for a job since she got laid off so if anyone needs a good book, please order one because it's the only way to support the ranch right now.
We are keeping the faith though and looking for better times ahead for us here at Black Dog Rescue Ranch.
Please remember to order a book, http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.
Sorry I haven't been here in a week or two. We have been busy here at the ranch and Ms. Charlene has been going to the city to work a little.
It is still really hot down here on the farm, but Teddie and Mickey don't seem to mind to much.  All they want to do is play play play. Silly boys!

Ms. Charlene said that the Central States Horseman Magazine did an article on us and our book so if you get the chance, pick up a copy and check out the story they did on us. She said they put a lot of really good pictures of us in there too!
The hores have been getting sprayed off with the garden hose each evening.  Ms. Charlene says it's a good way of cooling them down and they don't seem to mind it at all. They stand in line waiting for their turn to get sprinkled.  It's funny to watch them close their eyes and turn their ears sideways!  I guess horses are silly too.
Well don't forget to stop by our website and pick up a copy of our book, "Storie From Black Dog Ranch".  All proceeds go to support the rescue ranch! http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/

Stories From Black Dog Rescue Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Well it is still really hot, but we have been getting some storms down here at the ranch.

Mickey is afraid of storms so when it thunders he runs and hides under his special hiding place in the garage.  Ms. Charlene told us not to make fun of him because we all have little things about ourselves that make us different and it's a much more interesting world to have some differences.
The heat and the storms
don't seem to affect Betty too much.
As long as she has her chew bones she's happy. This one is so big she had to take a break and rest after dragging it all over the farm trying to make sure nobody else got it.
Ms. Charlene says she will be glad when it does cool off so she can get back to riding the horses. She says that Fall is just around the corner and she is looking forward to going on some great trail rides with great scenery like the one here!

Well I better go for now, don't forget to stop by our website and pick up a copy of our book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch".  Proceeds from book sales go to support our Rescue Ranch and we donate to Children's Reading Programs too!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch

Hi everyone.  It's me Mia,

Boy things are hot around here at Black Dog Rescue Ranch.  We have been shedding our winter hair and Ms. Charlene said it looked like enough hair on the front porch to make up another whole dog!! Ms. Charlene is funny.
She told us this week that she is getting ready to make a major change in her life that will effect all of us.  We can't wait to see what that is going to be, but whatever Ms. Charlene decides we know that we will always be taken care of and loved!

Everyone around here is getting extra treats to make up for the time that Ms. Charlene has been away from the ranch working on her new adventures and boy are we sure happy when she gets home!

Well don't forget to order a copy of our book! You can stop by our website; www.blackdogrescueranch.org and pick up a copy today. Remember, all proceeds go to support our rescue ranch and help us help other dogs and horses that deserve a second chance!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch

Hi everybody, it's me Mia.

Sorry I haven't been here in two weeks, we have been very busy here at the ranch. Two really nice ladies photographers from
MM Photography in St. Louis came down and took a bunch of pictures of us last week and we really enjoyed their company. We got lots of belly rubs and treats too! They are going to do a cover story on us and our ranch in the "Central States Horseman Magazine" next month!  Ms. Charlene says that is a big honor so we all need be thankful and grateful to MM Photography for the opportunity.
Be sure and pick up a copy of next month's issue of the magazine too!

Here are a few of the pictures they took last week. Ms. Charlene said they are very good at capturing all the animal's charater.  Us dogs are not real sure what all that means, but if it makes Ms. Charlene happy Teddie and Willa said that should make us happy.  I guess it really all comes down to the simple fact that spending your time here on earth with the people that you love and the ones that make you happy is really the only thing that matters in life!

Dr. Kim, a good friend of ours says she loves it when Ms. Charlene post pictures of us smiling cause you can tell that we have found the true meaning of happiness; LOVE. It is ALL that matters in life, not what others think of us.

Yes, it is all about spending time with the ones you love! So remember that this week and if you have the opportunity, give someone a BIG SMILE.
Well I better go for now. Don't forget to stop by our website and pick up a book! "Stories from Black Dog Ranch". http://www.blackdogrescueranch.org/

Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone, it's me Mia.

Well another busy week here at the Black Dog Rescue Ranch.  Ms. Charlene has been fixing stuff up around the ranch and is getting ready to add a roof to our patio area.  She said it was for all of us to have some shade when we have friends out to visit, but she said most of the time she figures we will be the ones enjoying the new patio!!
Ms. Charlene is kind of sad though, she has to take our kittens to their new home on Tuesday and she said she wished we could keep them all!  She has to take Ebby to the vet at the same time and have her spayed now that she is finished nursing the kittens.  Ms. Charlene says it is very important to have your pets spayed and neutered so we don't end up with a lot of unexpected pets we can't afford to care for properly.

Well, don't forget to stop by our website and order a copy of our book, "Stories From Black Dog Ranch".  Remember, all proceeds go to support the animals at Black Dog Rescue Ranch and other animals too!

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Wow what a great week-end. It's Mothers Day today and we all wanted to give Ms. Charlene something special, but the only thing we could come up with was a really big smile, so that's what we are giving her.  She said that was the best gift she could ask for and she loves us so much!
Ms. Charlene had some friends out yesterday and they had so much fun visiting and playing with the new spring arrivals.  Ms. Charlene said a farm or ranch is the best place to be anywhere in the world because there is always something wonderful happening!
And there is nothing like getting a big wet slobbery kiss from a soft nosed colt.
Well I better go for now, don't forget to stop by our website; http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/ or http://www.blackdogrescueranch.org/ and order a copy of our book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch". Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hey everyone.  It's me Mia.

Boy another busy week-end!  We had a big storm come through Friday Night and blow some stuff down on our porch, but Ms. Charlene and some friends fixed it and now everything is back to being good as new!
We had company this week-end too and that is always really fun for us, we get lots of attention and loved on!
Ms. Charlene's niece Ali brought her horse over too to show her off to everyone and she even practiced her riding abilities in the front yard while we all sat on the front porch and cheered her on.

Sugar watched the horse show and nickered now and then to let us know what she thought of the performance! It sure was funny.

Ms. Charlene joined a club with some of her friends too and she said it was really fun and she is looking forward to doing more stuff with her new club this summer.
Well I guess I better go for now. Don't forget to order a copy of our book, "Stories From Black Dog Ranch". www.blackdogrescueranch.com

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Boy it sure has been hectic around here lately.  Ms. Charlene started her new job and for the past two weeks she has been driving up to the big city for training.  She says she barely has time to do anything else, but feed us and make sure we are all doing OK.  Ms. Charlene says she feels bad about not having a lot of time to spend with us, but it will all be over soon and things will get back to a normal routine before long.  She is looking forward to starting her new job and meeting and making some new friends.
Ms Charlene says we all need to be grateful for our friends and loved ones and never forget how lucky we are to have them! We all need someone to love us and care about us don't we? Isn't that what life is all about anyway?  My brothers and sisters and I certainly are glad we have each other and especially Ms. Charlene!

Well I guess I better go for now. Don't forget to order a copy of our book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch" and help us help animals!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi Everyone, it's me Mia.

What a great week-end coming up. Spring is in the air and it's EASTER! A great reason for all Creation to Celebrate!

Ms. Charlene has been doing some spring cleaning. She spent a whole day this past week cleaning windows and cleaning out the gargage. She said it's because we get things kind of messy around here, and we put our paws and noses on the windows so she said it was time to clean everything.

We don't really know what all the fuss is about, us dogs like things messy, especially ourselves. All this spring rain has made a lot of mud and we like to roll in it. The horses seem to like mud too so I guess it's just an animal thing!

We have a new website that we are trying out to see if we can get more people interested in our book, "Stories From Black Dog Ranch".  We are hoping more people will find out about it and order some of our books. All proceeds from our book sales go to help support all of us here at Black Dog Rescue Ranch so don't forget to stop by and order your copy today!
http://www.blackdogrescuranch.org/

Well we want to wish everyone out there a very Happy Easter and may you all be blessed beyond your wildest dreams!  Maybe this Easter will bring you a new best friend and a second chance at happiness like all of us have here at Black Dog Rescue Ranch!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Well this past week-end was great weather and we have started digging in the yard again! You can see all the dirt on my nose. Ms. Charlene doesn't like us digging big holes in the yard, but she says since she can't catch us digging the holes she will just keep filling up the holes!  We kind of feel bad about it, but we can't help ourselves; we are dogs you know.

Ms. Charlene got to ride her horse Precious this week-end too and that always makes her happy!

Some kids got to come out to the farm Saturday and visit with the pony and the new puppies! They had a great time and I don't think they wanted to leave either. Ms. Charlene says that is what it's all about; Kids and Animals!
We all had a great time and look forward to more visits in the future.

Don't forget to stop by our website and pick up one of our books, "Stories From Black Dog Ranch". The proceeds from our book supports all of us here at the Black Dog Ranch and it also helps us help other animals!

Black Dog Rescue Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia. I am laying on my favorite blanket on top of my favorite bench on our front porch watching over the ranch today. Things are getting back to our regular routine now that the holidays are behind us and all the family visiting for the holidays have gone home. Me and my brothers and sisters don't mind the visitors though, we love company and love all the attention we get when they come to visit. Of course Teddie and Mickey are always trying to hog all the attention from everyone so I was fussing at them in this picture. They don't seem to listen to me or anyone for that matter, but Ms. Charlene said its ok because there is usually enough attention to go around for everyone. Maggie and Charlie are just glad to be inside and snuggled up together on Ms. Charlene's bed and they will leave the fussing over who get attention to us silly dogs outside! Well we hope everyone out there is off to a great start to another new year. Don't forget to stop by our website; http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/ and get your copy of my book if you haven't had a chance to do that yet. Remember we donate part of the proceeds from every book sale to help other animals like me that need a loving home and a second chance. I better go for now. Talk more soon, Mia

Black Dog Rescue Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.
Well it is getting closer and closer to Christmas around here and I keep telling Teddie, Mickey and Molly I think I can hear Santa's sleigh and his rain deer every once in awhile.
Teddie said that I am silly because Santa knows how to sneak around and not let anyone see him or hear him, but I still think I saw him just last night.
Charlie is getting into the Christmas spirit this year. He posed for Ms. Charlene to get a picture of him in his new Santa Hat. Maggie told him she wasn't going to put the hat on, but she would be glad to share in all the treats in his Christmas Stocking!
I hope everyone remembers to order a copy of our book "Stories from Black Dog Ranch" for that special someone on their Christmas list this year. You can go to our website; wwwblackdogrescueranch.com or you can order it on Barnesandnoble.com too.

Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.
Well it has certainly gotten cold this past week. Of course we don't mind the cold weather because it makes me and my brothers and sisters frisky and playful.
Ms. Charlene says it just makes her bones stiff.
I guess everyone is getting ready for Christmas and we are making a list of stuff we would like Santa to bring to the ranch. Willa and Betty said that they have been extra good this year and they will probably get everything on their list this year. They said that the rest of us have been digging in Ms. Charlene's yard too much and that she is probably going to tell Santa that we haven't been very good. I think Ms. Charlene loves us so much that she won't tell on us!
I sure hope that everyone buys one of our Books because it would make a great gift for any child or animal lover out there and besides that Ms. Charlene donates part of the proceeds from our book to animal shelters and children's reading programs! Be sure and visit my website; www.blackdogrescueranch.com and order your copy of our book today.
