I thought you might be there yesterday. was going to show you my hand bound watercolr sketchbook. It was pretty wet in the afternoon so I bailed out.

  2. Hi Carrie. I'm sorry I missed you. I had a previous engagement that prevented me from attending the session on Sat. I'd love to see your hand bound book sometime. I'm trying to join the group more often. Maybe I'll see you one of these times.

  4. I do have flying dreams and I think that has something to do with it.

  5. I followed the comment you left at the Making a Mark blog because I was so impressed with what you said. I completely agreed with you. I love the idea of following along with an artist on their journey, the commentary provided by the artist in their daily strugglings is just as important to me as the beautiful painting they post.

I find your sketches here to be just full of life and truly a delight to look at. I'm glad I happened on your blog. :)

  8. Hi Bill - Just found your blog, your sketches are marvelous! Do you have any recommendations for mixed media sketchbooks that don't wrinkle w/ watercolors - or does such a thing exist!?

  9. Hi Jane, thanks for visiting. For watercolor and ink sketches, I either make my own sketchbooks using mostly Fabriano Artistico 90 lb watercolor paper or I buy wire bound Pentalic Field Books in several sizes. I prefer to choose my own paper but the wire bound books are convenient for outside work. They hold up pretty well with watercolor. You could also try the Arches watercolor blocks.
