Joshua by Lifehouse
the air has never felt so warm
the sky has never looked this way before
there's nothing comforting in change
I can't seem to find any peace in this confusion

I can't help my mind from racing
and my heart is beating faster than ever before
tell me is this really happening
I cannot tell if I am dreaming

last night
I saw you standing in the moonlight
and you took my hand and we walked
beside the river
and you said
don't be afraid, be strong
I'm with you

I'm climbing on top of my doubt
don't let this fear
get the best of me
cause I find my confidence in you
and I find my hope
when I lose control

last night
I saw you standing in the moonlight
and you took my hand and we walked
beside the river
and you said
don't be afraid, be strong
I'm with you

i think song kinda depicted what it was like right before Joshua crossed the river to get to the promised land. can you imagine, on Joshua's side of the river, he's safe. he's comfortable. change is never comforting. then God dries up the river of Jordan and urges him on. then He askes joshua to prepare flint knives to circumsize the people, in the presence of many enemies watching them over the plains.

God didn't send blood hounds or tanks to protect them. all He said was "I'm with You".

life can be so much better than mediocre. you could settle for second best by staying here where you are. however, when God opens the doors for you to jump. when He dries up the river, are you gonna cross it based on three words?

"i'm with you"

are you with God?
