I prepared for you Christmas cards this time.  I have a lot of them to make, so I've started already. :-)
Usually I make them plain and flat, but this time they have more elements.

I used dies to make poinsettia, leaves and also background with snowflakes.

I make snow using a snow paste and glitter. It's really glittering!

Short tutorial with exploding box

Hello again!
I need to say, that I'm over the moon, because we have more and more new followers here! I hope you will stay with us for longer. Feel free to join our challenges any time you want.
It's also great to see how some of you developed yourself! I'm really impressed!

As it's said, I prepared short tutorial for you. I created an exploding box for my friend's birthday. Actually, I used ready base for it, because I wanted to check, if it's not to weak for this kind of the "card". This base is made of a very thin paper.
I started with preparing all materials which I needed. Here you can see the base itself.
(I used my very old cutting pad - sorry for that, but it's the best in the world and I don't want to throw it away, not yet:-))

I cut papers into sguares and smaller strips.

Next I sticked pieces of paper to the base. I added a few more squarest to make it a little bit stronger.

Then I glued wings of the lid.

Now I started to add layers. Foam tape is perfect, if you want to achieve a 3D effect in your makings. I used it to stick these white circles and one more layer of the lid.

The last step was embellishing. I used chipboards, dies and hand made flowers to do it. I left this empty space for special wishes.

And that's how it looked in the end, when the box was closed.

So it looks like my experiment with the ready basewent well. It's good option, if you don't have to much time to prepare your own base but you want to prepare a special gift for someone.

Sunny greatings from Poland

BGC#70 - Dimensional project with Aneta -

Hello, my dear crafters!

As you know, we are playing with dimensional projects this month. I've seen many of your amazing projects already and I'm so thrilled! Of course, I'm looking forward to see more!
But before you will upload your project, please read our RULES below!
  • Make a dimensional paper crafted project (Eg-  Dimensional cards like box cards , exploding boxes , any type of 3D folds , alter a dimensional item using paper craft products or just make a 3D item in itself !)
  • Your project must be new and dated after the challenge date.
  • Link back to our challenge.
  • Deadline to enter is 31st of July until 11:55 PM IST

We have two prizes for you!

Prize 1 is sponsored by Kraftzone

Prize 2  is a Gift Vocher of 500 INR  from Rainbow Craftykari

My inspiration for you is this elegant photo album.  The most dimensional part of it is a front cover.
I hope you can see, that the background behind the inscription isn't flat. I used one white layer and 3D foam to make it higher. It goes perfectly with my self made flowers.
I'm using waxes and glossy accents and it's what you can see on the "album". I really like this effect, because the inscription isn't flat any more. And it's glossy! What's more, this way you can protect  the chipboard against damage.

I added also some chipboard inside the album. It will help to keep distance between photos.

I added also small pockets for more photos.

Ready to join us? So please enter your projects here.
See you soon!

This time I have two different birthday cards with Gorjuss. Do you know this sweet little girl?
I've just discovered her and I felt  in love with her!

First card is more pastel, with pink butterflies. The girl is gray and red mostly.

My second card is a hexagon-shaped-card with this same Gorjuss girl. She is green and blue with red flowers.  I also made a flower.

As you can see, I created two different cards using this same stamp image. It's why I like stamping so much: you can create as many version of the image as you want, using different colours or cutting them out with different tools. That's cool!

Now is your turn to show us your beautiful cards!

Warm greetings

BGC# 65 - Mood board + stamping once more with Aneta

Dear followers!

My inspiration is the last one while the challenge for this month. I've seen a lot amazing projects on your blogs already and I'm looking forward to see more!
You have still time to join us! And remember about our mood board and rules:

  • Make a paper crafted project taking inspiration from the above mood board .
  • Your post must mention how or what elements inspired you for your project.
  • Your project must have some sort of stamping done on it. Make sure its visible in your pictures .
  • Your project must be new and must have been made after our challenge announcement
  • Deadline to enter -  28th Feb 2015 until 11:55 PM IST .

As my friends and family members have their birthday now,  I'm creating cards for them. This is one of these cards. I was inspired by delicate yellow and green colours from our mood board this time.  I used one stamp to make a sentiment and the second to stamp... the flower.

Sometimes I make my own flowers, sometimes I just buy them.  If it's the last option, I choose white flowers, because it gives me possibility to change their colours by misting, inking or stamping. This way I have perfect flowers for my projects.

If you decide to join us, enter your project HERE.
Have a nice day!

  • Your project must have some sort of stamping done on it. Make sure its visible in your pictures .

Prize 1

Wow! That looks great, doesn't it?  I think, that it's worth to join us in this challenge!
Basing on our mood board, I prepared a card as an inspiration for you. I chose delicate peach color as the main element of it. Playing with a symmetry here ( because I didn't wan to to make a card with all elements just in the middle of the card), I put smaller rectangles more to the right side and down.

What do you think about my card?

I'm looking forward to see yours projects this month!
Have a lot of fun making them!

Warm greetings
Aneta
