This year we decided to
drive to Chicago to spend Thanksgiving with Ben's parents. Lucky for us the weather on our trips was great! On the way there it took
FOREVER. It felt like we stopped every 1.5 hours. One time we stopped to fill up on gas or something, and literally not even 5 minutes after we were back on the highway I smelt something raunchy coming from James's direction. So we pulled off (and paid a toll of course) to change his diaper. It was the worst diaper I ever changed. He had poop everywhere, and some of it even got on the backseat. So after our $3.50 diaper change, we hopped back on the highway for another... who knows, hour or so until the next stop. Once we finally figured out how to position James's new car seat so he wasn't sitting straight up (poor thing couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep the first 8 hours of the trip!) things went much smoother!

We finally made it to chicago! Unfortuneatley the next day Ben and his mom went and put their dog of 13 years, Cody, down at the vet. :( It was really sad. We ran some errands and did some other random stuff that too. Oh I also got sick right as we got to chicago, so I spent the holiday not feeling very well. Luckily I was able to breathe again within a few days. Thanksgiving day was a busy day with Turkey bowl, kitchen work, baby work, and eating work. There were 12 other people from the ward at dinner. And of course, James was a hit.

Friday Ben and I were able to go shopping for a bit. Got a few christmas gifts and some clothes for James, while the little man stayed home with grandma and grandpa. Then Ben and I also got to go see Wreck it Ralph while the grandparents babysat again! It was so cute, I loved it. Definitely going to buy that one.
