Other Cute Pictures

There were a lot of pictures taken during our recent weekend away to Nelson.
The boys wanted to take pictures and Steve also learnt some new tricks with the camera.
So here is a collection of very cute pictures taken by all....

You are my new big friend, will you stay with me forever?

And finally, when going to a wedding with kids, it is always sensible to take activity books with you for them to have something to do at the reception.
I scored huge mummy brownie points with this. They were so very well behaved it was easy to forget there were there most of the time. So proud of them and their behaviour, everyone commented on how good they were all weekend.

Too Much Tv

Today whilst getting dressed, my 2 boys came into the bedroom.
Now they know our bedroom door is always open and I have no worries getting dressed in front of them.
However this morning the conversation with Ben went like this:

B: Mummy, why do you wear a bra?
M: Because it is what ladies wear to keep their boobies looking nice.
B: Well you should try an 'Ah Bra'!
M: Couldn't speak as I was laughing so much I just about fell over!
B: Mummy, why are you laughing?
M: Because you are so cute and adorable!

An 'Ah Bra' for those of you that don't know, is a bra that is currently advertised on tv as the next best thing! Haha, looks like crap if you ask me but I just had to laugh so much the fact that Ben had watched the ad and taken so much on board!

In normal fashion they always have deals on about 'Buy 1 get 6 Free' To me if they are so wonderful then why doesn't Littlewoods and Farmer's sell them?

Queen's Birthday

Today is Queen's Birthday Weekend, so it is a Public Holiday for us. Yea a day off work.

In the car yesterday on the way back from the Birthday Parties in Rotorua, Ben heard on the radio that it was Queen's Birthday Weekend.
Now we have 2 more Birthday parties next weekend and 1 the weekend after.
So this charming little 5 year old piped up and casually asked "so are we going to the Queen's birthday party as well?'

Steve and I were wetting ourselves with laughter over this, just so Ben and just so cute.
We think the Queen would have quite a birthday party with Ben there to talk to her!

Bears

Many years ago I brought myself the 5 disc box set of the Berenstain Bears DVD's. There are 40 episodes to watch, and I know there are many more episodes available, even to the point that Ma, Pa, Brother & Sister now have Honey Bear in their family!
They are my sort of thing. Good clean, family, moral and value learning.
I never in a million years imagined that my 2 cute little boys would love them as much as they do.

Alex calls them the 'Dancing Bears'

Their episodes seem to cover all sorts of everyday life things and the boys just love watching them.

Ben seems to love the ones that show the bears doing sport, in particular Basketball, and as we have a significant birthday coming up soon, followed not too far behind with Christmas, then the conversation about what he would like keeps appearing.
His answer to all at present is.....basketball and hoop please.

So the bears win hands down in our house at the moment, I know this will probably change in the next 6 months with Ben starting school and having peer influences, but for now I am happy to keep them watching fun innocent stuff like the Berenstain Bears, they have plenty of time to grow up on to bigger stuff next year!

Alex

Yesterday Alex managed to be very cute, not so cute and back to really cute, but hey that is the life of a typical 2 year old

He started off by being so cute sitting and reading to himself from his favourite book of the moment "Little Bear Lost"
You could hear him telling himself the story of how Little Bear was found in the picnic basket. So cute.
Unfortunately this didn't last too long....whilst cleaning for the open home, Alex decided to draw in pencil all over the wall (must be something in the water, as Ben did exactly the same thing at Daycare on Friday. That is another story and I will fill you in when I get the pictures!)

So we made him help us clean it off the wall.

Then later in the day, when he had woken from his afternoon nap, he snuggled up with daddy and ate a big plate of fruit. He just loves Kiwi fruit and grapes.

Sleeping

I can't say that we did anything really wild yesterday. Ben had an unexpected play date with his little friend Kaitlyn, but that was about all.
So after dinner, whilst watching the news, Ben snuggled with me and consequently fell a sleep.
