Our month of May
So apparently some people are actually checking this blog, but I must say with 4 kids and a summer jammed packed blogging was not a priority. One day I might look back and say I wish I had written more, and I will add that to my list of "if I ever do it over again . . ." But for now we are surviving. Some say if you have three kids then you can have more, there kids must have been older (like married and moved out)! At first I assumed it was hard because it was the newborn stage, but now that Spencer is four months I am realizing that it will just be crazy until he graduates high school. (so only 18 years of hair pulling craziness left) Having four kids and keeping them involved and being an active participant in all events might put me over the edge. OK now really I am exaggerating a little. I am a little crazy and our house is not like it used to be but things are good. I mean really every night I go to bed and tell Bryce "life is so good" and I mean it. It is crazy, exhausting, busy, a whirlwind, and I feel at times it would make more sense to live in my car, but really what more could I ask for. I have four beautiful, fun, healthy, crazy, lovable kids, a great house, a working vehicle, and an awesome husband. I just don't think that it can get any better than this. (of course winning a million dollars couldn't hurt) But so one day when I am looking back at my blog books I figure I better at least document the summer that we never stopped.
Of course Tball always marks the first of summer for our family, so we didn't miss a beat. Spencer was born on a Saturday and the next Monday through Thursday my kids were on the field playing Tball and coach pitch baseball with none other than super dad, Bryce coaching both teams.
Then on Saturday we were still finishing up our soccer season. I wish I had a picture of Ben, but I wasn't able to make it to another one of his games, they usually ended up being at feeding time.
Right after I had Spencer Bryce jumped in and took the kids to do all sorts of fun things during his week off. He loves to take them places that we usually go without him. This is the kids at Kangaroo Zoo.
But school wasn't quite over yet. Ben did an awesome job in his class puppet show. He even had the difficult task of filling in and playing two parts on a one minute notice, he was the brown duck, and also played the red hen. He loved second grade and learned so much. His teacher made him do some extra work, like extra spelling words so he had to push himself to learn some difficult things, but of course he did great. It was a great year.
Bryce also had to play Mr. Mom and took the girls to the field trip at the fish farm. This was a great field trip for everyone involved, he didn't mind taking the fish off the hook like I do.
Abby graduated from preschool. Abby loves to learn and really pushes herself to learn anything she can. She loves to learn stuff that older kids know. She can add numbers and she can tell time, she really is ready for Kindergarten.
But the best part was watching all the kids get so excited to hold Spencer:
