A Little Bag Charm

When I opened my box of goodies from Epiphany Crafts, I was rather excited about one of the products sent to me.  I used the beautiful Ruby Rock-It Heritage collection along with the Epiphany Crafts Metal Charms to create this wee bag charm.

The Heritage collection comes with fantastic embellishments which included 3D butterflies but for this I was drawn to using the wood vaneer.

I painted the bird cage using some metallic paint as I wanted it to look like metal.  Once it had dried I added some bling and lace .

Next I inked one of the flowers from Ruby Rock-It's Oriental wood vaneer with some Tim Holtz distress inks.

These little charms from Epiphany crafts are brilliant for framing mini photos and matching embellishments.  The photo I used was tiny but I was able to get the two faces in and sealed with the circular bubbles.

The little beads I threaded on the wire, which hold the photo charms, are strips of the Heritage paper rolled up and secured with glue.

To finish the bag charm I glued an extra piece of paper at the back of the bird cage after securing the charms in place. Then I added a key chain and tied some ribbon around the top.

The Mythical Kelpies

This week we have been sharing lots of layouts on the Ruby Rock-It blog and today it is my turn to share my creation.

We recently visited these 'Kelpies' a mythical Scottish creature in Falkirk.  They really were amazing and the detail created with all the different shapes of metal was awesome.

The layout was created using the Ruby Rock-It Mother Nature collection.  The colours of this range are so pretty and as the photo was filled with silver I didn't want to take away from that.

The Creative Team were lucky enough to be send some product from Epiphany Crafts. punches and bubbles from Epiphany Crafts.  I made some little flowers using the Flower Punch and Flower Bubble caps. They are SO easy to use, pop your paper in the punch, add a 'bubble', close the lid and punch!  Perfect!  No more hunting for matching embellishments!

When it came to the title I only had some white alphabets so I used a promarker to change it to a grey colour.

Products Used
Papermania Capsule 12 x 12 Card
Promaker Ice Grey 4

My Little Shoebox and Epiphany Crafts

My Little Shoebox and Epiphany Crafts have teamed up this week to bring you some inspiration and there are some gorgeous projects on the designers blogs.

I was sent the Shape Studio Tool Heart 25 to work with along with the matching bubbles.

I love how these little tools take the fuss out of making embellishments that coordinate perfectly with your projects.  Just simply put the paper you want in the punch, add the epoxy top and squeeze!

Products Used :
My Little Shoebox Oh Deer! : Knock on Wood, Creakside Trail, A Walk In The Woods, Happy Campers, 3D Roll Up Flowers and Accents, Cardstock Stickers, Morning Mist Trim Pack, Woodgrain Muse Alphabet, Apple Mini Alphabet
Epiphany Crafts : Shape Studio Heart 25, Bubble Caps Heart 25
Pan Pastel and Versamark

On the layout I rotated the hearts to make little mushrooms.  The bottoms of the mushrooms are taken from the stamped 'mushy' image which I stamped on some of the 'Oh Deer' papers from My Little Shoebox.

Don't forget to visit the Epiphany blog to see what their talented designers have created today as well

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by
