you know what happens when you have regrets?

you turn your back on everything you worked for.

like i did last night.
i allowed the worse to get to me.
and now, i feel like my confidence just shattered.
and i fear the most for my group.

everything just didnt turn out the way as expected.

however,
while shopping at harbour town yesterday with taty,
we got stopped to do a shoot for a competition for harbour town.
and we had to wear the things we bought and take a picture
and just hope and ask around for people to vote for you.
cause then you win cash.

bt im not really into it.
it was merely for fun (:
so vote if you like.
click

just find my picture and vote:)

xx
whatever the outcome for today's practice,
im sure it'll come to place again.
on a plus side: IM WATCHING ECLIPSE TONIGHT!!!!! :D

Thursday, June 24, 2010

i didnt wanna join this with the previous post, cause i thought
this deserved a separate blog post :)

coincidentally,
guess who happened to be at ACMI when i was there just now taking shots of the sun.

yeap you guessed it right!
TIM BURTON! :D

people watching a clip from one of his movies.

now if you're wondering why the heck he's there?
this is why :)

i know right.
you're probably gasping as you're reading this.

his exhibition is currently being held. officially opened today actually.
thus the massive interview :)
xx
so,
class today was relatively good.
met up with tim and voon hung who're down here for a few days.
:)

on a completely seperate note,
i wanted to share with you readers bout something i discovered recently here in melbourne.

so,
if you've been wandering around federation square lately you'd see this huge giant ball.
and i first saw that when jason decided to take me to an exhibition
at ACMI.
didnt know what it was but i figured it was for decor.
and then when the rest of the guys went back there at night,
i saw it lit up.
and omg it was huge and orange!
i was absolutely clueless bout what it was suppose to be.
my guess was something artsy and fartsy. :P
and sure enough, i was right.

behold,

the sun.
no, im serious.
it happens to be an artificial sun by Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.

so how many of you guys would love to see some art places aside from Aussie?
for art lovers out there, this is THE perfect opprtunity.

Tell us (fed square) how you've been enlightened by this creation and you could win a very inspiring $3,750 voucher to put towards your own journey of enlightenment. Think the Louvre in Paris, New York's Guggenheim or the Hermitage Museum St Petersburg. Your journey of enlightenment could start today at Federation Square.

Just visit Federation Square from 4 June to 29 June and tell us how you've been enlightened by Solar Equation. Each week the most inspiring entry will win a travel voucher valued at $3,750 and be published in next week's edition of The Age.

now, if you're afraid to go there in person, you could also tell them via twitter and enter using a hashtag- #fed_square

or you could log on to fb, and search for Federation Square and write on their wall.

so hurry up! comps ending soon and they've already found two winners! :)

ps: if you're absolutely clueless bout what to do still, click the ad you see on the left. :)

xx

and write your piece. :)

i have absolutely no reason to overreact
or to go crazy about it.

i need more self control.
it's amazing how i was the victim and i should have walked out the hero from this
but truth is, i've absolutely no idea where i am.

cheer last night was good.
tried my baskets and they're somewhat there.
ugh.
we need a finalized routine.
-.-
this is annoying.

my red friend came yesterday and now
im in the bitchiest mood.

goddammit.
xx

Saturday, June 19, 2010

my red friend's late.
and im not sure why.
and i think that's partially the reason why ive been feeling
so much weird shit lately.

so i went to print my portfolio today.
stubborn as i was, i insisted on getting it done, having convinced myself
that all the spelling were correct.

was there at the printing shop for nearly 2 hours
and got home realizing i made several mistakes.
shit.
and i realized i made more mistakes when lawrence was
proof reading it.
so, what now?

ive got to go back tomorrow and tell the guy that i have to reprint 28/78 of pages
again.
howfuckingembarrassing can this get? -.-
and the money that has gone to waste. OMFG.

so little boys and girls,
what does this teach you?
DONT BE SUCH AN ANAL OBSESSIVE PERSON!
SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE.
just remember that.
i never did -.-
go figure.

so, i ended up cheering myself up watching glee live videos.
i'd so spent my money watching them.
i wish they'd tour round the world.

my favourites :)

the dates dont seem to mean much to me anymore.
and sometimes i wonder why.

like today.
not till 10.15pm had i realized it was the 18th of june.
i stoned there puzzled as to why it was pressing on the walls of my brain
like i knew what that meant,
and then it hit me.
i kept quiet in my head for a good two minutes
trying to mentally erase the memory i had and forgotten for months now,
so i stared up into the lonely walkway of the train as it kept going forward
and i knew so would i.
so today was a rather interesting day :)

i spent the entire 4 hours of my class watching swan princess 1,2,
sleeping beauty and half of the glee season finale.
all cause i finished my assignment beforehand.
it was so fun.
i literally just sat there watching parts of all of it :P

anywhoo,
i left to help sarah with some stuff and then met up with jason :)
who now has a bb thanks to me and whoever else that convinced him!
HAH!
and then we sat down at brunetti's to get it set up and all.
and then he took me to
a cathedral down at flinders cause he wanted to show me how freaky it is
and that was the FIRST time ever ive stepped into a church.
kinda cool.
and after that, he took me to see an exhibition which i was most impressed with.
it's at ACMI.
it was bout film and television history and the making of it and all.
loved it!

then we met up with ashwin and we hung around at kopitiam before dinner.
and then weiren showed up and we all decided to have thai :)
SOOO GOOD.
it's at a place called lemon bistro in china town.

after that, the boys wanted to walk
around flinders st,
convinced by the all of us, jason and weiren went on a 6 minutes ferris wheel ride
and god bored. while me,ashwin and yang kin stood there laughing :P
then they spent $10 on a slot machine to get a mini football
and lucky for jason he got one which had the name australia on it.
(it was all on the world cup team players)
and we hung around before heading to max b
and then we were all freezing cause of the unexpected strong wings and then
we decided to go home.
:)

the end.

and up they go :)

xx
SO SINCE IM THE NERD WHO'S FINISHED WITH HER ASSIGNMENT WHICH IS ONLY
DUE NEXT FRIDAY,
IM FREE THIS FRIDAY -.-
meaning im here in class doing whatever i can do at home, -.-
ugh.

so here's just a couple of photos. :)

it took me a while to notice that
somehow, i can relate to ALL of this.
especially the first one. it was so exact.

this,
i just figured was nice for a future reference dont you think?

xx

see,
if you were interested or even taking art at the moment,
you'd understand why they say helvetica.
and im glad i know why.
ahah.
it's only cause we watched a documentary on helvetica for our typography
assignment.
ahhh
times like this makes me feel so intelligent :)

Thursday, June 17, 2010

tonight,
cheer was great.
changed a few things here and there
cause we were overtime
and now we're good to go and 3/4 on our way there to perfection.
sorta.
alot more cleaning up to do,
but im glad.
we're still on track with our timing :)

i love the red team.

4/6 assignments down!
2 more to go.
and most due next week.
i can do this shit!
xx

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

some days, you might feel like you're falling through the cracks,
but you can't ever let yourself actually say you've fallen.

you have to learn to pick yourself up and tell yourself
it's going to get better.
it might be the first time i've ever done ____ (whatever it is) or the _____ time
i've done ______ (whatever it is)
but i will learn to do so much better.
and i will.

repeat after me,
I WILL DO SO MUCH BETTER.

or i'd like to think i would.

Monday, June 14, 2010

so yesterday was the first time in a very long time that i cheered with the rest of the red team,
and we manage to pull alot right.
FINALLY,
my wheelbarrow is somewhat perfect :)
despite us hitting shakira towards the end of practice we were rather good.

currently in the library
(when btw, it's the queens birthday, aka, public holiday)
to do what?
assignments!
kill joy -.-

the library is flooded with people.
but no im not alone. sarah lee is with me :)
and ive got tiny teddies to ease my stomach later.
woooh.
im set for my ssignments.

not my best angle.
but
toods :)

xx

Saturday, June 12, 2010

im sure you know that.

so,
this is just me procrastinating.
i should be starting my work.
see, i go by two theories,
1) either i take my time doing my assignments which mean more stress because
im rushing a deadline but i produce good work
or
2) i finish everything very fast with less stress but could cost me several mistakes and
a not so satifying job because i try and make everything simple as possible.

BUT
truth me told,
on most occasions, i tend to mix both my theories.

google made my day two days ago.
their backdrop looked so pretty,
for instance,

which was my ultimate favourite.

so this is what i have,
6 assignments due mostly in two weeks.
SIGH.
the one and only assignment that has got me peeing in my pants and pulling my hair out,
has to be production skills
where we're working on textiles design.
im panicked like crap for that.

times like this, i really wish i didnt take art.
oh well.

i should start my work.
xx
