Images of the Eruption on Holuhraun Plain at Sunset Today
The following images are captures from two different cameras on the Holuhraun plain,taken within the past few hours. As we move nearer the winter solstice, the sun sets earlier for Iceland, providing rich visions of the eruption juxtaposed against the fading light during our own daylight hours.
Mount Doom can't hold a candle to the real thing, as this land of fire and ice is unbeaten in wild beauty and ferocity of nature.
