Baby Jaxton Willis Holwick

Ok, so it's a little late, but I want to write down Jaxton's birth story, for my own records, if nothing else.:)  I was due February 20th, but figured I'd go early, because all of my kids have been early.  On Monday February 10th I had contractions for 10 hours increasing in intensity.  Finally by Monday night I felt like they were strong enough to head to the hospital.  When I got there, however, I wasn't dilated at all.  They kept me there for a few hours to see if anything changed, but it didn't, so I went home.  I continued to have contractions throughout the next couple weeks, but no baby.  He was still too high.  My due date came and went and still no baby, so we scheduled an induction for February 28th at 7a.m.  They started me on Pitosin at about 9a.m. which started some pretty strong and regular contractions but I still wasn't dilating.  Around 2:30 Doctor Aaron came in to check my progress, and without warning broke my water.  He said he didn't plan to do it, but realized the position was right when he was checking me and took the opportunity.  Immediately after he did this the contractions came on hard and strong.  They sent for the nurse anesthetist to get me an epidural, but before she had a chance I was pushing.   From the time the doctor  broke my water till the time Jaxton was born was 25 minutes.  He was born at 2:56 pm weighing in at 8 lbs 2 oz and 19.5 inches long.  He is such a blessing to our family.  His big brothers and sister adore him.  We love our sweet Jaxton Willis Holwick!  Today we had him blessed in sacrament meeting.  Beau blessed him and Hal, Levi, and Bishop Lindsey stood in.  Before I could get a picture of him in his blessing outfit, while I was changing his diaper, he peed all over himself.  So no blessing pics:(  All the family came for the blessing and we had  lunch at our house afterwards.

We're Back!

I thought I was through with blogging forever, but today I went through my blog, and was so happy to have all of the memories.  So, I'm back and going to try to be a little better about keeping it up:)  I'm not going to try to cover anything I missed over the past year and a half I missed cuz that would just be ridiculous:/.  So It's a new year and we have a lot happening.  I went back to school (online at byui) this past summer, but will be taking the next two semesters off, due to the crazy hectic next several months.  Beau has just started his last semester! Whoohooo!  He will finally have his bachelors degree.  This last semester also includes his internship which will require one 10 hour day per week for the next 16 weeks.  That along with his classes and his full-time job will keep him quite busy.  We are also expecting baby number four in a few more weeks.  He is due February 20th, but I have yet to reach a due date with any of my pregnancies, so we shall see.  We have had some trouble deciding on a name, and Beau says its because we aren't having a boy.  The ultrasound we had was not very good.  The lady was very strange and super hesitant to show or tell us the baby's gender.  The pics we have are super blurry, with lots of strange angles, which makes it hard to tell what we're looking at, even for an ultrasound picture.  Anyhow, maybe we should have some girl names picked out just in case.
We have been in our new home for a year and a half, next month, and we absolutely love it!  I can't believe how the time has flown.  Adley is turning 5 at the end of this month.  Arabella just turned 4, and Jothan turned two this past October.  They are all growing soo fast, and they can't wait for their baby brother to get here, although now and then they still express their disappointment at not getting the little sister they wanted.:)  Adley and I started kindergarten at home this past fall.  Adley couldn't wait to get started and went strong for a couple months, but his excitement has fizzled a bit.  He does so well, but has discovered that learning to read takes work, and he's not too enthusiastic about that.  Because he started a whole year early, I'm not too concerned about sticking to the original schedule, so we just try to do a little most days.  Although it can be difficult at times, I'm glad to get to be so involved in his education.
Well, that's enough writing for now, how about some pictures!

I bet you all thought I'd never blog again.  I had my doubts as well, but I'm back!  Hopefully to stay.  I just let myself get busy with other things, and I put blogging off.  Anyhow,  I will post some of the latest pics.  Actually these span from our Trip to Wisconsin in February to just this past weekend:)

Happy Halloween!!!

Our new addition has finally arrived. I was beginning to wonder if he was going to hold out til his due date, but luckily he didn't. On Monday morning, October 17th at about 12:45, I
started having some mild contractions, but I'd been having them and didn't think much of it. Whenever I got up in the night though I noticed that I was still having them. By around 4 I got up and decided to shower just in case this was the real thing. By about 5:30 a.m. I decided the contractions were probably the real thing, and I woke up Beau to go to the hospital. The contractions were still pretty mild, but I didn't want to wait any longer and be in dyer pain before I went to the hospital, like I was with Adley and Arabella. So we checked in at the hospital at about 6:40a.m. and I was dilated to 4cm. I got my epidural with just one poke, as apposed to 25 like with Arabella. It worked right away, and I never really felt any intense contractions. It was wonderful. The Doctor broke my water and by 11:21 a.m. our little Jothan had arrived. No forceps or vacuum needed. It only took three babies to get it right. Jothan arrived perfectly healthy. No

breathing
problems, no NICU. I got to hold him right away. He weighed in at 7lbs 11 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. His full name is Jothan Amory Kruse Holwick. We went home the next night, and now we're all just enjoying our little angel boy. The kids love "Baby Jothan". They just pet him and kiss him. It's so sweet.

Last night the ward had a trunk or treat and we took the kids. We were the crew from the Wizard of Oz. We will all dress up tomorrow night for trick or treating and we'll have more time to get ready, so I'll post some more pics later.

Happy October!

This past Saturday we took the kids to the pumpkin patch in Woodland. It was such a nice place. Perfect for younger ones, and we liked it too. They had a hay bale maze, hay rides, pumpkin shooting and of course the pumpkin patch. They
had super great prices, and a small town country-feel that I loved. And the weather was perfect:). I love the Fall. Now we gotta get our pumpkins carved into Jack-O-Lanterns.

Labor Day Camping Trip

Wow, how time has flown. I can't believe summer is almost over. This past weekend we went camping for the first time this summer. We went up to Sunset Falls, and it was really beautiful. The kids loved it. They played in the water and dirt and were quite fascinated with all the sticks, leaves, and bugs. It was a nice weekend with the family:)
