Ever try to take a photo of curved posts because for some unknown reason the posts just seem to hold your fascination?
And on the post is a kid who finds you his fascination.
Well ... after looking at this photo hundreds of times, I've decided that he gives purpose to the posts and so I publish this post.
That will teach him.

A How-to On Overcoming Dental Phobia
Just before a stressful visit to anywhere, at the door do a little 2 step.
I guarantee that your qwurky behavior will make you feel great and those unseen will feel good too!
And just by sheer luck someone with a dental appointment and a camera might just capture your quirky moon-dance and blog it.

A Shadow of the Man He is: Redux
The past day or so has been a lot of fun learning how to transform a picture from color to an acceptable (at least to my taste) b&w photo.
I've been using the adobe photoshop channel mixer and love it to death.
If you want to feel like your back in kindergarten, just play with any imaging software.
An ipernity member, named Pappion, again suggested making the photo b&w and deepening the shadow on the wall.
So ... I did just that and voila!
This is how the photo originally looked below.
See any difference?
When you really think about it, the photo and the story is of a shadow and shadows as the eye see it has no color. No?
Anyway, the story was originally posted and I think you might like it so you can click HERE.
I think you really don't want to miss creative writing at its worst.
Enjoy!

plaça Rius y Taulet
Many years ago, what seems like a googolplex amount of time passing, the Smurf’s were a popular television show, as American Idol and Dancing with the Stars are today.
Come one Halloween year, I convinced one of my sons to be Papa Smurf. I didn’t sew then and I don’t now but I thought my brilliant, outlandish idea would be fun, using old clothing and what not.
Oh, yes! The best part of my imagination was working and coming to reality. You, who have no stitching skills, would appreciate this. I made the hat out of felt material, and I got ballerina shoes, improvising them to look like Papa Smurf’s shoes.
Now wait!
I, his mother, in my creative wisdom, used Elmer’s glue (yes, you read it correctly) to paste about 20 cotton balls, on his cute little face. (Yes, I am biased.)
My son was Papa Smurf and I was swollen with pride and his face was just swollen.
Oh, how he would have been at home at plaça Rius y Taulet.
Plaça Rius y Taulet received 7th place honorable mention out of 15 who participated in la festa, Gràcia! 2008.
Congratulations to you!

placeta Sant Miguel
For the past 5 years, placeta Sant Miguel has not ceased to amaze me.
They keep getting better and better, decorating their street with warm and inviting colors.
Someone likes flowers for their display 2 years ago had an assortment of them.
But the real star this year at la festa de Gràcia was the mariposa, or butterfly with the sun strobing the mariposa's shadows on the street, on the displays and the many people.

Congratulations placeta Sant Miguel!

A shadow of the man he is
Bright, sunny days are a dream for taking pictures.
Shadows and light add depth, drama and intrigue to a photo.
In the photo, a qwurky man demonstrates to a group of one the shadows sharp edges and the luscious elongation of his digit.
For just a moment, he seems to be containing his shadow; protecting it from the brightness of the sun.
While doing so, he shortens the distance between man and the wall by connecting himself to both sides of his shadow.
Enough of the lesson.
No matter!
The bottom line is: you can have all sorts of fun with natural elementals.
