"La Cuesta Encantada"
Or
"The Enchanted Hill"
Gorgeous! Both these photo's I got off the internet and even though we were there on a sunny day like below I love the photo above of the Estate with the fog all around.
We haven't been to Hearst Castle since our honeymoon. It was neat then and it is neat now. The history is fascinating both of William Randolph Hearst and of his estate. I paid way more attention this time. Ha Ha
Years ago they would take you up and through 1 of 4 tours. Now you still choose a tour, but afterwards they now let your roam around the grounds as long as you want. It made for some great photos!
Perched on the top of a hill with acres and acres all around this is the view back down the hill and to the ocean. It is stunning!
Loving Kurke's panoramic camera.
This is the Neptune pool - Pretty unforgetable and beautiful and very Gatsby.
And this is the indoor Roman pool.
Details...
The front door. Holla!

Good heavens that place is divine! Does someone actually live there?! What opulence! Reminds me a bit of Pride and Prejudice, how Elizabeth and her aunt and uncle tour great estates like that one. Simply stunning!
That's a beautiful home! I'm in the market...maybe I'll see what it goes for:)
Thanks for the photos. I'd love to see it myself in person some day. Wow!
fun sights.
We've been there, too!
Thanks for sharing all the beautiful photos. I have never been but definitely have to put that on my list of places to visit.
Such cool photos, especially that first one. Whoever got that shot should be proud!
=)
Cute shoes! Oh yeah, the castle is pretty impressive too! I can't imagine having enough money to even buy the front door!
I love, love, love the Cherub corbel with its tongue sticking out.
Hearst Castle is one of my favorite places to visit. I love the vastness, over done gilded furnishings and those enticing pools. Hubby and I went there for our Honeymoon as we drove up the coast.
Cherie, these are the most beautiful pics, you must have a great camera! Looks like such an awesome time with family! I want to go now!
Good grief, these pictures are stunning! Wow!
