Stop The Hackings

I don’t see any logic in the hacking incident of Yaya Dub’s account. Especially that it came from fellow Filipinos wearing Guy Fawkes’ mask. Maine Mendoza a.k.a. Yaya Dub brought positive fame to the country and gave good vibes to everyone.

Before, I see the effects of hacking government sites – to show the flaws and vulnerabilities on these sites. But hacking a private Filipino account, simply because she’s famous, doesn’t make any sense at all. I see talents from these so-called hacktivist go down the drain. They forgot their basic Filipino value of respect for others.

Stop The Hackings.

Alarming Status of HIV in the Philippines

I really don’t want to post HIV-AIDS related articles here in this blog because it’s somehow depressing, but I feel it’s my moral obligation to do so.

This info graphics is from the Department of Health (DoH) as reported by CNN Philippines. It’s really alarming, considering that the bulk cases of new HIV infections in the country are overwhelmingly from males who have sex with males, from the National Capital Region a.k.a. Metro Manila.

Hope we could all practice safe safe.

Pope Francis in the Philippines

Here’s a nice thought during the Papal Visit of Pope Francis in the Philippines. This was posted by Inquirer on Twitter:

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

You probably heard about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge – unless you’re living under rock for the last 2 weeks or so. People get to be “nominated” to do the Ice Bucket Challenge (pouring a bucket of ice-cold water over the head) or donate $100 to the ALSA.org. In turn, the person who performed the challenge gets to nominate 3 other people to do the same thing.

It reminds me of the movie “Pay It Forward” wherein you have to forward good deeds to 3 more people which gives the ripple effect. The only difference is, in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, it’s recorded (because the participants are oblige to post the “proof” of the challenge online). The main concern of the challenge is actually donation and making people aware that there is a disease called Leu Gehrig’s Disease (a.k.a. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) thus ALS.

It’s a rare disease and an estimated 5,000 people in the US are diagnosed each year. No cure has yet been found for Lou Gehrig’s Disease and most people with this disease die from respiratory failure, usually within 3 to 5 years from the onset of the symptoms. Read more about it from Mama’s Health.

Good thing about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is that a lot of celebrities (with thousands of followers) like One Republic, participated in the challenge and thus has a huge ripple effect. I sure hope that everyone of us got an invitation/nomination to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, donate to charity, and pass the message forward. It also encourages other charitable institutions to come up with such a HIT to reach more people faster and to encourage donations for a good cause.

Let’s pay it forward

I would love to see the Queen of England do the challenge.

Gay Marriage Now

I envy the First World Countries – they truly evolved into society where every citizen is given the right to be happy. They came to a point that gay marriage and adoption (by gay parents) are already allowed. All studies regarding the high standards of living showed that these countries that allowed gay marriages (and adoption) or even Civil Union/Partnership scored very high in these studies.

I just can’t help but hope, that the Philippines could at least come up with a Civil Partnership Law that will allow gay couples to enjoy the equal benefits of the law – for taxation purposes, health insurance, healthcare, etc. I’m just hoping that this will happen in the next 50 years.

Let’s be wise – let’s vote for candidates that are at least tolerant or neutral towards gay people.

Here’s an inspiring video uploaded by Hieu Tran on YouTube for his wonderful dads. Cheers to all the happy gay couples out there!

Tom Daley Is One of Us!

Tom Daley, the famous British Olympic diver (yes, diver not swimmer) is one of us! He’s gay and he told the world about it via YouTube.

I’m very happy that he’s happy. That’s what matters. He’s doing a great job at his career and the question on who he loves doesn’t matter.

We’re happy for you Tom Daley!

Yes, Tom Daley is one of us! We’re happy that you’re happy Mr. Diver

Charlie Hunnam is Christian Grey

When I was reading the “50 Shades of Grey” Trilogy, for some reason it was actually Colin Farrell that comes to my mind.

Now that Charlie Hunnam is officially cast in the role of Christian Grey, I now have a clear picture of how great the movie adaptation would be. Here are the latest pictures of Christian Grey, I mean Charlie Hunnam and he looks gorgeous. Photos courtesy of Just Jared.

I truly believe that he can play the role of the sex God Christian Grey very well. I can’t wait for the movie.

Ben Affleck and Wentworth Miller

Sorry for the lack of updates the past few weeks. I’ve been living under a rock!

So Wentworth Miller turns out to be gay! Well, welcome to the family! We’re glad that you’re one of us. Wentworth Miller is of course famous for his role as Michael Scofield in the US TV show Prison Break (2005-2009). I admire his courage to speak up against Russia’s anti-LGBT laws.

Then of course, there’s the news about Ben Affleck playing the role of the Caped Crusader. I still get over his image as the Man Without Fear (a.k.a. Daredevil). I pretty sure that he can also be an effective Batman. I’m looking forward to the next Batman movie – last time I checked, it would be a Superman-Batman movie.

Thank you Wentworth Miller for speaking up against Russia’s anti-LGBT laws. Who is the lucky boyfriend of the Prison Break star?

Ben Affleck

Keep Calm Ben Affleck and play Batman.

Billy Crawford: One of Us?

I was very busy the past few days and this is the only time that I was able to read the transcript of Billy Crawford’s interview on The Buzz. This is just my personal opinion about the contents of the transcript of the interview and my gaydar can’t help but go haywire over the things that he mentioned on the interview, specially this statement:

“Billy: Nawawala ako. I’m very lost, very confused. Walang kinalaman si Nikki. It all boils down to me. It’s an indescribable feeling, it’s like all these negativity, confusions, the sadness, the hurt… Nikki has not been anything apart from good to me. Everything I said there a while ago, you know, she is a dream come true when it comes to finding the right one. Pero it’s hard to find the right one kung ikaw mismo, you’re not right. And it’s been a while, it’s been a while I’ve been… I don’t know who to blame. It’s been a while I’m back at being myself. Dahil lahat ng tao kasi nakikita nila ako masayahin, matulungin. I tried to do everything I can for everyone to be happy, especially the people around me; the people that I love. And I forgot what makes me happy; I forgot who I am. I don’t know what I’m doing cuz all I know what to do is to work.”

Part of the transcript taken from Showbiznest.

Billy Crawford from pokemondotwikiadotcom

Picture taken from www.pokemon.wikia.com

It’s like a flashback on that fateful night when Rustom Padilla is talking to Keanna Reeves about the Mariposa and all, on national TV. Only this time, I’m reading a transcript. Judging from the contents of the transcript, I can feel that Billy Crawford is One of Us.

I’ve been a fan of Billy Joe Crawford even before he dropped the “Joe” from his showbiz name. He’s a great actor, singer, dancer and host. Whatever his true preference is, it doesn’t matter.

Again, these are just personal opinion on the contents of the transcript.

Steve Grand’s “All-American Boy”

Steve Grand is the hottest commodity in the gay world these days. His video, “All-American Boy”, is the talk of the town. Previous pictures of him wearing sexy underwear are all over the Internet.

Steve Grand is an American country singer from Chicago and his video on YouTube already have 1,131,644 hits as I write this blog post. He’s cute, charming, and a lot of gay guys like me could relate to his music video.

Enjoy the viral movie “All-American Boy” (which sounds like the website All American Guys).

Steve Grand is handsome and I can relate to his MTV.

My Top 4 Gwiyomi Guys

For those of you living under a rock the last few days, Gwiyomi is the latest video meme nowadays. I’ve heard about this a few days ago but this is the only time that I was able to view it. Guess who is the first person I’ve seen performing the Gwiyomi craze – the scandalous Miko Pasamonte!

BTW, Wikipedia gave me a brief info on Gwiyomi:

“The internet meme is originated from a South Korean boy band BToB’s member Jung Ilhoon. According to The Bangkok Post, "Gwiyomi" or "Kiyomi" is Korean slang used to refer to a cute person. The lyrics of the song can be interpreted as "1 + 1 = Cutie, 2 + 2 = Cutie", etc. Gwiyomi (귀요미) is based on the adjective "gwiyeo-un" (귀여운), which means cute. Thus "gwiyomi" means a cute person.”

Here are my top 4 Gwiyomi, a.k.a. Cute Guys, performing the video:

Very masculine and cute

St. Cygnus

What’s his English name?

Cute guy from Korea

Teejay Marquez is definitely an eye candy

Teejay Marquez from the Philippines

I Suddenly Want To Be In New Zealand

New Zealand became the 13th country in the world that legalized gay marriage. I suddenly want to migrate to New Zealand and be legally married.

Dale Bacar shared this video on Facebook and it’s one of the best (and hilarious) speech that I’ve ever heard. Indeed, life will go on for the rest of the population (that are not gay). For the people concerned, this will give them equal rights under the law.

To sum it up, New Zealand politician Maurice Williamson said to New Zealand’s heterosexual community (and quoting from the Bible) “Be not afraid”.

I hope Filipinos would think like him.

Vote “Ang Ladlad” for Party-List

We are not asking for special rights as members of the gay community. We’re asking for equal rights and protection under the law.

This coming May 13 election, vote “Ang Ladlad” for Party-List. That’s #28 in the ballot.

Vote Ang Ladlad

Nude Pictures Of Prince Harry

By now, you probably have seen the pictures of Britain’s Prince Harry in his full glory courtesy of entertainment website TMZ. There were reports that more naked pictures of Prince Harry would surface soon and today I’ve seen some of those alleged pictures.

prince-harry-british-polo-day-charity-cup-02prince-harry-british-polo-day-charity-cup-04

One of those pictures shows that he’s wearing a Union Jack boxer briefs. Are these the other nude pictures of Prince Harry in his recent Las Vegas trip? If these 2nd batch of pictures of Prince Harry are true, then by all means, I can say that he really has a gorgeous body! He should really flaunt it.

The other side of the issue is that, Prince Harry is still a prince of Britain and many other nations across the globe that belongs to the Commonwealth of Nations (like Canada and Australia). Not everyone would shrug the issue saying that he’s a normal 27-year old straight guy.

I still admire Prince Harry of Britain. He’s still a normal, straight guy who’s single and doesn’t have a steady girlfriend. I believe that the British Government should file a legal case against the girl who leaked the naked pictures of Prince Harry.

The Island of Pasig

I’m very sorry for the lack of updates on my blog. I’m affected by the recent flooding in Pasig City and it’s still flooded in our area. I’m currently typing this from my brother’s house. I have to evacuate from Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City since it’s flooded.

One week after the 08-07-12 incident (known as Hagupit ng Habagat), several places in Pasig City are still flooded. In fact, the major areas in Pasig City like the Pasig Mega Market and the Pasig City Hall compound is still flooded. It seems like Pasig City became an island – surrounded by waters. These pictures were taken yesterday:
