The making of cats

The making of the Sudafed advert set me thinking about how other things are made. Perhaps with cats it's a bit like this.

You have to plan your cat and then get all the bits together. Of course the most important part is the heart!

Thanks to Kris at Cat House Prints for the inspiration!

White Christmas

It doesn't look as if it's going to be a white Christmas this year. The temperature is set to rise tomorrow. Last week we had ridiculous weather, lightening storms and hail showers. This was followed by frosty nights.

There is still snow on the mountains although we had rain at lower altitudes. So I'm going to image a white Christmas.

In our household Christmas will be an occasion for the family to get together rather than a big shopping bonanza. Whatever way you do it have a good week.

Colour of 2012

Tangerine Tango

This is one way to brighten up a miserable Sunday afternoon in December. Let's take a closer look at the Colour of 2012. In Pantone's own words,

Provocative Tangerine Tango, an enticing juicy orange, is a vivacious and appealing refresher to enliven anyone’s outlook this spring.

I've got to say it's mouthwatering in its appeal. A hint of tangerine with neutrals is probably the way I'd go. I don't really want to look as if I've been tangoed.

As usual the sellers at Etsy have a fantastic range of items if you want to try this out before spring.

Enjoy!

Treasury Sunday

I haven't done one of these for a long time so here are two. Just like buses!

There are so many gorgeous handmade items available for Christmas that I can't see me trawling around the high street shops. After a shopping trip on Friday and experiencing appalling customer service I've decided to take the handmade pledge.

Here are two collections of gift ideas for bunny mummies and cat lovers. Chosen to appeal to different tastes I hope there's something here for everyone. Lots of my favourite people have been included. You know who you are!

Have a great week!

Treasury Sunday

I haven't done one of these in a while. It's just the thing to brighten up a miserable Bank Holiday afternoon. Enjoy the Etsian Artists.

Pantone Colours

Deep Teal
Pantone 19-4914

I'm going to indulge myself with this one. I love teal. As it's one of Pantone's colours for autumn/winter 2011 I hope there's going to be a lot of it around.

Pantone describes it as a strong, blue-toned green, suggests ocean depths and the color of the sky as daylight descends into darkness.

I put out a request for teal items and it seems as if there's quite a debate about teal. I think of it as a blue, black with a touch of deep green. I've picked out a few of my favourites.

From Folksy we have,

SHOP NAME 1 SHOP NAME 2
SHOP NAME 3 SHOP NAME 4
SHOP NAME 5 SHOP NAME 6

and from Etsy. You can also find this on Etsy Treasury Hunters

Have a great weekend.

Pantone Colours

Bamboo

One of the new autumn/winter colours is bamboo, Pantone 14-0740.

Pantone has described it as,
a surprising fall hue, brings a warm, exotic flavor to the season. Like a filtered sunset on the waning days of fall.
Bamboo is a standout yellow with a subtle green undertone.

I've chosen bamboo as my theme this week. It's been inspired by the Etsy knit1treble2 team. I've chosen to use The Cranberries track 'Yellow Skies' as a title because I didn't want to give any exposure to Coldplay. And here! I just did!

Enjoy.

Sensual

There are some gorgeous shops and items on Etsy. I just want to share a few of them with you.

This treasury is composed of Etsian Artists and new shops. The floaty chiffon dresses are so delicious. And Johnny? What can I say?
